No just no. Had the bourbon chicken. It was dark had the noodles it was darkZ dirty food. Service was eh. I couldn’t eat it all. I was like why did I get this. I will probably never eat there again. I should have went to China max. I know my Asian food. And I was severally disappointed because they have the better presentation nice sign and layout. But jeez the food was bad. I should have taken a picture of it because it barely looks edible. I was sick that day after I ate it. Didn’t feel right and idk I had great hopes for this place. The service again was okay actually the person who go the food for me was nice and the cashier lady was sweet. But the food. No just no.

Pretty gross. The food looks and tastes like it has been sitting there for hours. The staff was nice and offered to let me try things before making a decision. I should have just ran tho, the food really lacked in quality. I had the chicken and the broccoli beef. I only took one bite of the beef because one taste was enough. Left a horrible taste in my mouth — I should have tried this one before buying but i thought it would be safe.

If I could I would give this restaurant a negative 5 rating. Instead, they’ll get the lowest allowable rating of one star. I went to this place tonight: June 4, 2015. I was considering getting a Philly cheese steak sandwich from another restaurant when I spotted Ichiban. I thought, «Hey, Japanese fast food. It’s gotta be good.» So, I look(over their signs displaying their deals: 1 side + 2 meats $ 6.99 and 1 side + 3 meats $ 7.99. I thought, «for 8 bucks, why not go for the 3 meats?» And I did. But they’re very deceptive. The sign clearly states 1 side, but doesn’t specify whether there will be any differences in price(based on the side you choose). So immediately, the guy standing there asks me about which rice I wanted. And they have the shrimp fried rice in a larger container, set at the front of the display(so that you’re more likely to notice and order it). And I did. I ordered the shrimp fried rice, thinking that I’d be paying around 8 dollars for my meal. After picking 2 meats, the guy closes my box and I had to remind him that I wanted 3, so I get the Bourbon Chicken and he slaps a little bit of it on top and closes the box. Then he places the box on the metal tray holder for me to grab. So, I get to the cash register to pay for my food and the girl standing there asks me if I’d like anything to drink. I asked her if I could have a cup of free water and she said, «No, sorry.» By this point I’m starting to reconsider wanting to go through with the purchase, but she rings up my food and the total comes to almost $ 10. I asked her why it costs so much and reminded her that the sign said $ 7.99. She then tells me that there’s an extra charge of $ 1 for the shrimp fried rice. I start thinking, once again, that I don’t want to pay for this, but I said screw it. I payed for the food, hoping that it would be good. When I went to eat it, the only thing that was close to being hot was the rice. And worse yet, the broccoli mush that I ordered was disgusting because the broccoli really was mushy and it smelled like fish. WTF. The food was near cold and I regretted that I didn’t go with my first instinct to buy that Philly Cheesesteak. I want to find a corporate website to voice my complaint about. Especially them not giving free water. It’s in the best upscale mall in the city of Houston and they won’t give a cup of water to a paying customer. Really all of it disgusts me. I’ll never purchase food from there again unless I can tell that it’s been freshly made.

I liked this place better when they had the bigger stove and the chicken was fresh right off the grill. Now it’s just a small grill and the chicken just sits there all cold and disgusting. No wonder your business is down and no mall employee wants to eat there anymore. You just downsized your #1 product and made the chicken taste crappier.

Not bad for what it was during the holiday rush. Since it labeled«Asian Cuisine», I didn’t expect this to be a Japanese eatery. Strangely enough, I accepted its name Ichiban to be my number 1 choice among the selections in the entire Galleria’s Food Court.(Ichiban means first in Japanese.) After sampling its signature Bourbon Chicken, I decided to take the $ 6.99 special of 2-meat plate. The price was a little steep. I was charged $ 1 extra for shrimp fried rice — the best looking dish in the starch category. Also, $ 1.79 for a cup of iced water — it appeared on the receipt as a small soda. However, the meat was delicious, tender and juicy. I’d give 4 stars for the overall satisfaction on the flavor and customer service. I was quite happy with the fresh ingredients and not-so strong yet tasty dishes. But it lost 1 star on how the hot pepper sauce was served. I had to use a plastic spoon to scoop out of a metal pitcher.

Exactly on the opposite side of the line that makes up the food court was my favorite fast food Asian go to place. Since they close down I’ve gone to it Ichiban which I have to say is not so bad. The employees do their job they don’t hassle you or give you a hard time very simple stuff. You pick a rice & you pick a meat, you pick your sides & then any additional appetizers & you proceed to the check out. The food is good the prices are decent, the plate goes for about eight dollars, you can add a drink for another two dollars because you’re at the mall and– that’s about it.

Really great service and samples. Love their fried rice and their bourbon chicken!!! Their orange chicken is nice and mild. Doesn’t have the strong overwhelming citrus flavor Ive run into a lot in Houston. Who would’ve thought, the best mall food/Chinese food I’ve had in Houston so far! Docked one star for no fortune cookie.

Ordered the special for $ 6.99 plus an egg roll, which they tried to charge $ 3 for. One of the two chicken entrees I ordered was unedible due to the majority of it being pieces of bone and gristle. Even the entrée that was edible I would not recommend. Worst Galleria food I’ve had in 7 years of working here.

Ordered orange chicken and spicy chicken, better than expected for mall food.
