Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

I love this place. I’m a member and the membership is so well worth the money. Once a month I make it my business to go and relax with their signature massage. I got a facial last week and it was also a great experience. They also have a great choice of fruit infused waters. Their coconut water is by far my favorite and I look forward to it every time I go. Customers service is always great. All the staff is always very attentive you your needs. The décor of the spa is also up to par with season changes. If you’re looking to relax once a month… this is the place.

I’ve gone to many massage facilities both chains and independent.
This place is my favorite. They are always friendly greeting you with a smile. The hostess always uses my name and after you’ve been there once it’s like your good friends.
I love a hot stone massage as it totally relaxes me. The therapist communicates well and checks in on pressure.
I started going here for facials. My favorite esthetician is Tara, but she has been promoted to management which I can totally see.
I have a membership and will continue to do so.

UPDATE to the UPDATE: Brittany was very kind and explained how unfortunately miscommunication on their part and and misunderstanding on my part lead to this situation. They were very gracious despite my behavior. So I apologized and she apologized and all is good now.
I’m amending my review and will be more prudent in the future before jumping to conclusions and assuming bad motives on others.
I’m updating my rating due to the patience and kindness of the owner; I would never want anyone to jump to conclusions regarding me so because I did I am very sorry to Brittany and her staff.
UPDATE: Brittany the owner has reached out to me; I have been unable to get back in touch with her and I will be apologizing to her employee for being rude on the phone — however I still do not understand why an additional fee was imposed on a service I pre-​paid and did not use so that will be interesting when I hear back from her.

My experience at Hand and Stone was excellent. I was greeted with a smile and I had Holly give a facial that was relaxing and refreshing and treated problem areas. Truly ambient atmosphere with knowledgable staff. It was a pleasure to receive services at this location and I will be going back for more.

I had a membership here while I was pregnant and was very pleased. I only had one situation which I gave my sister in law one of my services for the month in what I though was a gift card. I was not informed that it expires so she went to use it, it was no longer valid however the staff was more than happy to fix the situation since it was a miscommunication. I would have kept my membership but I had to go to a chiropractor so hopefully one day I can go back :)

The only reason they get a one star is because the front staff was very welcoming. Besides that, the massage was terrible. I could of got a better massage at the J foot reflexology down the street. The only reason I went here was because it was a birthday gift from someone.

This place is amazing. Making an appointment is always super easy & they have extended hours that work with all schedules! The staff is always calm, helpful, kind, smiling & knowledgable about services and products. The environment is always immaculately clean, relaxing, peaceful and inviting.

This place is not bad but not great the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The massages are ok. I got a scalp massage but it felt like more like just a head rub compared to other scalp massages I’ve had. Also I left there extremely oily other places make sure they wipe you down with a slightly moist towel so you don’t leave there completely greasy. I had to go wipe myself down in their bathroom and still have to go back home and shower which set my whole day back. It’s extremely hot and to be covered in oil makes it impossible not to sweat to death. So instead of squeezing this in my day in between my errands it’s set my whole day back. I don’t think I will return. There are far too many other places that are quality from start to finish.

Anthony and Alex did a great job during our couples massage. We were a little anxious because we weren’t sure if the staff were LGBT friendly but we left feeling very satisfied. I would definitely recommend the hot stone and the aromatherapy additions. The lobby area was clean and the staff was friendly. We look forward to going back!

I really enjoyed my visit here and so did my husband. I found it very convenient and helpful that they are open on Sundays, since most spas are closed, this allowed me to spontaneously surprise my husband with a couples massage. The pricing is competitive and what I expect to pay for in this area. I get massages at least bi-​monthly and I was very impressed with my massage from Anthony. I still have my favorite spa and massage therapist there but it is wonderful to know that I have found a place that I like almost equally. I also enjoyed the ambiance of this place. I found it very pleasing and relaxing. I will be a returning customer for sure. I would recommend this place.

I’ve been to 3 different spas this year for a massage and I really love Hand & Stone. The facility is so clean and relaxing and the staff is always nice and welcoming. My husband gifted me with a membership and I am loving it. My most recent massage was with Patricia and she really knows what she is doing – I felt relaxed and rejuvenated and the soreness in my muscles melted away. Overall, a very nice experience!

I have been battling with cystic acne for a couple of years now, so the scarring that had developed on my face had been building up for quite a while. Before I turned to Hand and Stone I felt like I had already tried everything I could, and the marks on my face became so embarrassing that I felt enslaved by my skin. I would not go out without make up on, and there would be times that I just wouldn’t want to leave the house because my break outs would get so bad.
A couple of months ago I had tried seeing an aesthetician at a different spa located in the woodlands, and although her peels did work, the experience was uncomfortable and very painful due to the laser treatments she decided to try on me. It got to the point where I felt the results weren’t worth the discomfort, so I sought a different spa and found Hand and Stone. My experience at Hand and Stone is night and day compared to what I was going through before. None of the procedures are painful, in fact I find the Microdermabrasion treatments to be very relaxing, and the results from just one treatment at Hand and Stone are drastically better compared to the 3 different treatments that I was receiving at the prior Spa.
I LOVE MY AESTHETICIAN CARLA! It feels like Christmas time whenever my monthly appointment is approaching. She also has experienced cystic acne before, and her tip to start drinking black licorice root tea and lime in my water has completely STOPPED my breakouts. I feel like a different person! I can go outside without make up on and not even worry about what other people see or think. I only wish I had found Hand and Stone sooner! When I think of all the money and time I wasted trying other things to fix my acne it makes me so frustrated. PLEASE if you understand what it’s like to be fighting the uphill battle of chronic adult acne, do yourself a favor and go to Hand and Stone! I could cry every time I finish a treatment and look in the mirror, it feels so liberating to finally be free of my scarring! I plan on keeping my membership here for a very long time, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

I love the convenience and location of this Hand and Stone! The ambience is so relaxing and Laura was great! I’ve been to MANY spas including being a former member of The Houstonian/​Trellis spa and the facial at Hand and Stone was best thus far. I loved that Laura gave me tips regarding applying the products that I purchased! I bought a membership as well! Stefanie easily convinced me to buy a monthly membership — she’s awesome!

I appreciate the owner calling and apologizing for the bad service. Even though I will not be frequenting Hand & Stone in the future, I do appreciate that the owner cared enough to get involved and make things right.

By far a Five Star experience with the Hand & Stone Spas I have been to. I am a member at the Woodlands/​Research Forest location, yet have also been to the one in Vintage Park off of Louetta. Both locations were uniformly delightful. From ambiance, quality of service, knowledgeable staff, to reasonably priced. As with most service industries, you get what you pay for. With their membership services, you get the most bang for your buck as you choose to have one facial OR massage per a month covered under that membership fee. Both my facials and massages have been top notch. However, I would like to particularly point out expertise to Alex in The Woodlands Hand & Stone location as the best I have had give a massage. The experience literally transcends you to another place. Most of the time when I get a massage it is either non attentive to my problem/​tense/​knotted areas, or painful. Alex asks you what is going on and where you want him to focus.
Now my experience with the facials are rather emotional for me. I always had great skin until I went through an extremely stressful time a few years or so back; about 5 to be exact. Something happened to my skin on my face. My cheeks developed what the Dermatologists were stating, erupting cysts. I went through numerous medications both internally and topical. And when I say medications, the financial cost of these medications were about $ 500 a month! Something I didn’t have to spend on what I could consider vanity really. I just could no longer justify that expense. Sadly, the medicines didn’t work anyway, not one bit. After going to 2 general practitioners, and 3 dermatologists, the fourth dermatologist claimed I could not treat my problem by trying to treat acne as he said it was not acne. And even more troublesome, he had never seen these erupting cysts on anyone’s face before, only other locations on the body. As a gift, a friend gave me a 6 month membership to Hand & Stone at Research Forest where I met Tara. Her knowledge is extensive and her techniques amazing. She was so intuitive of the regimen of specific products, facial treatments and facial schedules, that Everyone; including my son, the staff, etc. recognized the difference in my skin. The Dermalogica & Clarity lines are incredible, and I have literally become addicted to using Clarity products. Being a part of the healing process for someone goes far beyond the surface results. It made me feel better and less self-​conscious about my skin.

I received a massage and facial from this business as a gift and I was very pleased with my services. While the facial was good, I think I prefer Murad products over the ones that they used because I’ve had better results from facials with those products. The massage was relaxing and just right. My tip… get a couple glasses of their coconut water, refreshing :) I would have rated it a better but they forgot to do my aromatherapy when I checked in using Unilocal.I also just noticed that my fiancé paid 160 $ for the facial and massage for both being 50 minute services… and on their website they post that those services for 1hr introductory are 49.95 each… so why was he paying extra 60 $ for 20 minutes less of service? While the services were good, that was a rip off…

This place is nice. I am giving it 4 because I believe it will be better and the front staff was fantastic. I wasn’t crazy about my massage. I asked for a deep tissue massage and they scheduled me with Valerie. She had some good technique, but it was NOT a deep tissue. She even massaged me through sheets for awhile which was odd. She would be great for someone who wants a light massage.

I have lived in Houston for a year and half and have yet to find a good place to get a massage. I have been three time to massage envy only to be rubbed down with lotion… I like being moisturized but I need those knots worked out! I heard about this place from a wellness fair. I went in for their trial massage, and it was outstanding. It was definitely an excellent deep tissue massage. It is a very attractive place. The hallways are dimly lit with candles and aromatherapy being pumped throughout. They offer you tea and water before you enter. The rooms are nice with heated tables. I get hot so I passed on the heated table, but they had fans… no one ever has fans, so I liked this. It was a five star experience. The only problem is unless you purchase their monthly massage plan it is ridiculously expensive to get a single session massage. However, their monthly plan is excellent because you get a choice each month of whether you want a massage or a facial… yes, they do facials too! You will have to call about pricing as they have specials, but I will be back, and I think I am going to get the monthly plan.

I have been a client of this location for months now and each time I have a treatment or massage I am swept away! Toni is great and the entire staff gives you the white glove treatment from the time you walk into the doors. I recommend this location for anyone who wants to be pampered and spoiled.
