Gulf Coast Auto Shield

We purchased a new Infinity QX80 in black and we were looking for a good way to keep it clean and more swirl resistant. If you have a dark color car you know what I mean!!! We spend a whole day on a sat or sun detailing our cars. It gets old after a while. I wanted something that we did not have to wax (or as often) and would help us keep the exterior clean. With some goggling and days of research we stumbled upon OptiCoat Pro 2.0 (has to be installed by a detailer). From what i understand Opticoat Pro 2.0 is like a harder clear coat that makes washing your car much easier, more swirls resistant and maintains that «just waxed look» every time. We found that the product has been out for some time and has excellent reviews on car enthusiast forums. Johns @ Gulf Cost Auto Shield’s name kept popping up in many of the forums (Tesla, BMW, Corvette, Mustang, OMercedes and Porsche).
We gave him a call and he explained the process and the product. Luckily he was able to work us in his busy schedule. He worked on the QX for over 14 hours. He washed, prepared, paint corrected, polished to get out any existing swirls and then detailed the car using Opticoat Pro 2.0. He also took the time to take off each rims and applied OptiCoat Pro 2.0 to both the outside and inside of the rims. This is supposed to make brake dust come off more easily with a light wash. He applied OptiGlass and Opti Lenses to all the glass and headlights/​tail lights. I was very impressed with his level of detail. I am OCD about keeping my cars clean and John took the detail to the next level.
We like his work so much that we had him he come back two months later to work on our new BMW M5. He went through the same steps as before and also added a product called Modesta BC-​5 to the paint work. The total detail time was 20 hrs of hard work! The car looks amazing.
We have had the QX with Opticoat long enough to attest to the product and Johns work. This will be going on all of our new cars.
