Greater Houston Emergency Physicians

My daughter was seen at Kingwood Medical. Part of the process is to get the insurance information, but what’s the point, they gave us one of the Drs from here that was out of network. So, what should have been covered 100% actually is now $ 218 out of pocket. My insurance company recommended that I speak with GHEP since some providers will work with the in-​network rates since they received payment from the insurance company. Let me warn you, this is NOT one of those companies. I contacted them and was told they would look into it and get back with me. The get back with me came in the form of a collection notice. When I called again, the only option that I have is to pay the full amount. I don’t see the point in paying hefty insurance premiums, and to provide my insurance ahead which delays my daughter to be seen if I am still going to have to pay money hungry doctors even more!!! Guess we don’t have a choice in who we get or what type of service we get in an emergency. Way to take advantage of that GHEP!!!
