George’s is a family run Italian Restauran in a strip center near Telephone Road on Park Place. The food is some of the best in Houston. The Greek salad, Spicy Shrimp marinara, Sophia Loren, and Combination plates are great. The pizza is very good but I’m more of a thin crust fan. Service is slow in the evening if it’s busy but attentive.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars if I could. One server throughout the whole restaurant. Took 10+ minutes to bring water out and take initial order. I ordered a pizza. After 50 minutes of waiting and still no pizza I had to walk out. All the server could say was«sorry we are still waiting on your pizza». I know damn well that there is no pizza in the world that takes that long to cook. Horrible, just horrible. The restaurant was not busy at all so that excuse can be ruled out. I saw people come in and take bigger orders as take out and they arrived after I did. Was really hoping to try this place out due to prior good reviews but after my experience I will never give this place another chance. Went back to work starving. Thanks a lot.

Great place, great food, very friendly service… Love the pizza, I’m still finding my way through the the rest of the menu. Had the chicken lemonate today. It was good. Tons of mushrooms and 3 chicken cutlets buried under the mushrooms. Greek salad was great, not a ton of various greens but it made up for it with tons of fresh feta. The bread was fresh and not over buttered/flavored. Love their wine portions! Very generous!

Hole in the wall restaurant that my husband loves so we frequent it whenever we are I this side of town. It’s in a sketchy area so be aware of your surroundings. Food is comfort food, pizza, pasta and salads. Nice simple dinner from a local mom and pop shop.

Greek chicken salad is awesome. Just be careful with the pits in the olives. Pizza is fantastic too. Food does take long but it’s fresh & worth the wait. Come on an empty stomach!

I love this place. It’s been around for ages so you know they can withstand the competition! I’ve only recently discovered this place off of a Unilocal search for nearby Italian food and I’m glad I checked it out. So far I’ve been there twice and what really keeps my coming back is the spaghetti and meat sauce! The portion(lunch or dinner) is HUGE! Enough for 2 hungry me’s or 3 kinda hungry me’s! Not to mention it comes with a good sized salad and 6 or so pieces of garlic bread! Mmmm! I mean, they aim to fill you up… and for that, I say thank you! The prices are ridiculously cheap for the portions you get! They get pretty busy during lunch hours but it slows down during dinner(I went during lunch hours the first time and around 7−8pm the second time). Cops eat here so you know it’s gotta be worth something! I uploaded pics of the to-go menu since they don’t have a website to view it! I’ve also tried the Shrimp Alfredo and a small pepperoni/sausage pizza which are also good! Buon Appetito!

Having been to the restaurant several times, I always find myself ordering one thing: Greek Pizza. Topped with fresh veggies and warm cheese, it’s truly the best of both worlds. I cannot recall the exact price of a pizza, but I can say that ordering pizza and saving the rest is alot cheaper than some of the main orders. In fact, another reason for always oder ing the pizza is because of the reasonably price. It’s warm, cheesy, and the crust, although a bit thick and greasy, compliments the wholeness of the pizza in a wonderful way. The only con I would say is the lack of employees. Every time I go, I see the same lady, and only her. There is another in the back, the cook, but from my experience, I see only 2 or maybe 3 workers at a given time. Very friendly and helpful, just lacking, and sometimes have to wait until the meal is finished to get a napkin or refill . NOTE: Place is a very welcoming and smooth atmosphere, just wished more people would give it a chance. I really wish to see this place packed on the evenings.

The meat sauce is excellent along with the manicotti and eggplant. This is the kind of italian food you could eat every day! Not too rich… just perfect. I got the combo plate for $ 10 so I could try it all, but they were out of lasagna so she knocked $ 3 off the plate which was perfect! She took what most people would give a 1 star rating for, and made it a positive! Great atmosphere and very nice people at this rustic place. If you like a place with a little character this is it! Don’t let the hole in the wall look on the outside fool you… this place is great! And everyone in here seemed to be a regular… that says a lot about a place! 11⁄6 Just had the manicotti and it was awesome. The cheese has a little texture to it and the flavor really comes out. It is baked with mozzarella on top and a healthy side of spaghetti all on the Friday special for $ 6.95. Came with a salad and plenty of toasted garlic bread. Service was excellent as Gracie greeted me when I entered and was eager to take care of me with a great attitude.

Food was great! We had pizza, fried cheese, manicotti and spaghetti. Everything was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is super homey and laid back. Only cons would be it was really warm and with the Texas heat that sucks! Also our poor waitress was the only one working for the whole Resturant so she was a little overwhelmed but absolutely fantastic.

The wait time was crazy… she told us it would take 20 – 30 minutes but it ended up taking 40 minutes. The place is very hole in the wall but definitely home-y. We got the chicken fajita pizza and it was pretty good! My only complaint is that it wasn’t cut properly. Instead of pulling a whole slice I ended up getting only half. Overall good pizza, but could be better!

This cheese from their pizza stretches all the way out, which is really impressive(not to mention quality cheese)… This is the perfect hole in the wall type place. I’ve only had the pizza, but that’s all I want bc it’s so delicious. The scenery is nice with pictures of silver screen actors and actresses. They also have imported wines, and olive oil…
