I once tolerated this sh*thole because I could get about one good hour of dancing in before the riff-raff sauntered in, but that has vanished like most of the true latin dancing in the city. If you like trash, this place is the place to be — the people, the vibe, and especially the«unisex» bathroom. Women, beware, unless sexual assault is on your to-do list for the evening.

Worst experience ever paid for a section and they made everyone move at 10 most embarrassing non communicating experience ever. No Sunday fun day they will tell you anything to get your money. Don’t believe the hype don’t believe the instagram post

I went there with my girls this past Sunday after being treated like an ugly step sister at Capital Bar in mid-town. It was around 10 pm so it wasn’t really packed yet. We walked right in and to the front bar to land our real estate. The bartender was a sweet heart. I wish I remembered her name. I ordered three kettle sodas tall, and she suggested we just get a bottle because the price of a tall is the price of a double. I was grateful for that because for the price of six drinks we got the bottle and drank all night with no worries. The music was great, the people were friendly. Next time I’m in Houston they will get my business. I believe everyone has a bad day, I excuse some bad attitudes because I’ve been one of those people behind the bar. But we walked in smiling with no expectations and had a blast! Thank you for salvaging our Sunday Funday!

On more than one occasion I’ve visited this place; not only does it take almost an hour to get a drink on a busy night, but three times now, I’ve gotten excessive charges on my credit card — either they’re letting people rack up drinks on my tab, or the bartenders are over tipping themselves at my expense. Stand around in an overcrowded, hot place to pay for drinks I never had? No, thanks.

It was a Saturday night. I simply went to Fox Hollow because the bar was located near Ninja ramen. I arrived around 10;30pm. What I like was«no-dress code». I was with my Picachu hat. The door men let me in. To my surprise, it was quiet. There were no one around the dance floor. It didn’t make me feel doing my Picachu dance. My friend Rocko came to me. He was going to sing. Around 11pm, a DJ stared playing music. Some guys started dancing. My friend started singing my favorite song. he encouraged people. I left around 12am. Not a bad place. Judging from another reviews on Unilocal,Fox might charge $ 10. Am I going to return? It depends on the events. if Fox has some Picachu, ramen noodle event, I will be there.LOL.

Trash, trash, and trash. Too many creepy guys waiting by the bathroom which happens to be the same one the women use. The drinks were expensive and poorly made. The music was beyond bad and loud which only encourages the creepers who frequent this establishment to get closer in their attempts to talk to you. Oh and the fights outside weren’t even stopped by security. They just sat around and watched a defenseless man get beat by two others. Total waste of my Saturday night.

This review will be short and simple: Sunday All You Can Eat Crawfish. Nuff said! I went relatively early for Sunday Funday, but apparently it gets pretty«turnt» later in the evening. There were only 10 – 15 people there, but the DJ was playing as if it were a full house. The only thing that would’ve made this experience better were some drink specials, but I didn’t think to ask so that’s partly my fault.

I had a blast last night attending Fox Hollow Latin Fridays. The place had a really good vibe going for it: The live music, friendly atmosphere, & spin friendly hardwood floors! These are great ingredients for what I believe qualifies this place to be one of the best Salsa venues I have been to in Houston thus far, outside the salsa socials at various studios & dance schools around town. Located two blocks north of Washington Ave, in a hole in the wall building, yet had character. While listening to the live band play, I saw through the window behind them a train rolling on by and felt it vibrating the floors. Awesomely authentic! There was a free salsa lesson provided by Claudia around 9:30. She did a good job understanding the level of each Salsero/a and put together a 45 min lesson. We had plenty of time to practice with all attendees. The band came in around 10:30 and the dancing began. The band had multiple singers, and nice pipes! trumpets and trombones! And although my Spanish is limited but I never heard any of the classics(Hector Lavo, Oscar D’Leon.etc) being played, which I was used to in LA. Bummer. The dance floor got really busy around 11:30, more advanced Salsa dancers were flocking in around then. And apparently there was a bachata competition as well that started way after I left ~12:30 am. I’ll certainly be back again, Viva La Salsa!

An amaretto sour cost about 9 dollars on a Saturday night. Parking is very hard to find and you will most likely end up paying 5 to 10 dollars for muddy parking. cover on Saturday is 5 dollars and nothing inside is worth the value. The only thing I liked about this bar was the patio and the bathroom was decent for a bar. Overall I did not enjoy the crowd, décor or music. I went over here to try the place for a friend. Meh.

Visited Fox Hollow on a Sunday for a Launch Party and was pleased with the overall experience I guess. In reading some of the reviews on both Unilocal and Google it appears that the drinks were expensive, but I was at a private space where the bottles kept coming and I swear I have never seen so many fireworks indoors. All that to say, I have no idea how much any drinks cost. important notes: This is an urban spot, if you don’t like rap. don’t bother. If you don’t like to stand or dance, don’t bother and if you don’t want to spend 30 dollars on a hookah don’t order one. They do serve food, so that’s a plus because I hear the bar made drinks are STRONG! PARKING is ok, I would advise you street park because that parking lot was stupid and the parking attendants although in «Attendant» attire weren’t «tending» to ANYTHING. I could have done a better job of getting cars in and out and it took my husband stopping me from exiting the vehicle to do just that as we were leaving. The RESTROOMS are freaking Unisex and I damn near lost it when I walked into a restroom full of men. I had to step out and read the sign to make sure I wasn’t loosing it and that these huge ass dudes weren’t transgendered! I asked the attendant in Spanish what the hell was going on and he told me that each bathroom has male and female stalls. I told him that was«loco» and walked out. LAYOUT — The place gets packed around 8 – 9 but the DJ was jamming some great music. I realized my age around this time because I didn’t know a single song and it all just sounded mumbled and my ears are ringing today and everything is too loud, even as I type I wish my keyboard was quieter. There are tv screens and we watched the game last night and had a blast when the SPURSDEFEATEDTHEHEAT! ATTIRE — I was in jeans and sneakers but ladies were in heel and dresses and the men in sneakers and t-shirts. It’s open. wear what you want… have fun!

This place is disgusting. They hire people to park cars all over the neighborhood creating bumper to bumper traffic, and break fire code laws every Sunday.

Hated it. The parking is terrible. The cover was $ 20 although they advertised free before 11:00pm(we got there at 10:35pm). We get inside and it’s a pretty nice crowd and good music. The layout was not suitable for the amount of people which made for an uncomfortable night… on top of that the seating was very limited. The icing on the cake has to be the over priced drinks $ 14 for a small mixed drink! Never again.

NOT A FAN. I hardly ever make it to Fox Hollow, but when I do it is on Friday nights for their Latin party. I went this passed Saturday and regretted wasting my time. Parking was a hot mess and at $ 10, the least they could do is get some cement on that disgusting mud. Ugh, my black mats were a mess once we made it out of there. The place itself has nothing going on unless it’s a Latin night with Culture beat and Dj Gonzo. I hate that it gets super packed and dancing is tough. I am really not a fan.

Oh my, where do I even begin? I came here for a fundraiser called Blondes vs. Brunettes Powder Puff Game, as this was the bar that sponsored the event and the after party in which they celebrated the fact that they raised over $ 150,000 at this event. As a part of the event, there were numerous free kegs to start. I eventually gave up on waiting in the free beer line, so I decided to order a drink from the bar. My first order was a red bull and vodka… for $ 10! When I questioned the bartender about the price, she then said, «oh, well then $ 8». I gave her a $ 10 bill, as I didn’t have exact change, and I never saw her again. My next round I ordered 2 Bud Lights. $ 4 a piece. I told the bartender that the prices were ridiculous. Come to find out he’s the owner. He then approaches me as a girlfriend and I are discussing how ridiculous the prices are and tells me that due this fundraiser having free kegs, he must charge more. Um, I’m sorry, you sponsored the event and got signage, and also have 200 people here that have never been to or even heard of your bar. Seems like a great opportunity to impress us and earn more customers, not overcharge us. He then said that due to this area of town and this neighborhood he has to charge that much for drinks. Little does he know I am quite familiar with the neighborhood and he sounds like a fool. My reply to him was… «$ 10 for a red bull and vodka? You’re out of your damn mind». He kept on with the excuses and shortly after that we left to Little J’s on Washington who we knew would not be price gouging us. I then find out that numerous guests of the event were towed overnight. I understand that these are privately owned lots, but there should have been an arrangement in place so that the participants who have been at the event since noon can safely take a cab instead of drinking and driving. What a novel idea. My friend who got towed mentioned it on Facebook, to which the owner commented — with more excuses — and tried to add my buddy as a Facebook friend. LOL, owner, LOL… I have no doubt the owner will comment on this review with more excuses but when it comes down to it, I was a customer, that was my experience, and it is not an exaggerated truth. His business will continue to struggle not because of my review, but because of his excuses and terrible attitude.

I came here on Sunday with friends for drinks and a little game watching. The crowd is a mixture of young people and a mature crowd. The food trucks outside of this place are amazing. I was clearly under dressed for this crowd as I arrived in a hoodie and tights. Most ladies were in heels and jeans and the guys were in jeans and slacks. Around 8 you can see the crowd changing into more of a club crowd than a lounging one and that was my cue to leave. I had a good time but the price of drinks is what will make me not come back. They are a tad pricey for the amount that you get.

nothing that special about this place other than when i went the other day there was a live drummer over a DJ Hip-Hop set which i thought was pretty cool. Typical high-priced drinks(which is everywhere outside of New Orleans) not in the best neighborhood and the crowd looked as though they were getting ready for Texans/Rockets players to stroll through(the ladies i’m referring to) so it’s kinda of a choosy place if you know what i mean. Cute bartenders, but meh outside of that.

Ok, I just wanted to update my review from last time. On Fridays, there is no cover(at least the past few weeks I’ve gone) if you can get there before 10 pm. They have offer free salsa class at 9 pm on Fridays. Pretty cool, but just like other places that offer free salsa classes, it’s directed more toward beginners. The class is taught by instructors from SSQQ dance studio. As for Sundays, it used to be $ 5 at the door. However, the past couple of weeks I went, I haven’t been charged a dime. I guess it’s free Sunday bachata now? Sundays are definitely the best nights to go dancing at Fox Hollow because it doesn’t get as packed as Friday nights so you can still dance. Fridays get too packed, especially once Salmerum takes the stage. I usually leave here by 12:30 because by then, I won’t be able to dance without bumping into other people.

I am going to reference Anna W.‘s review that the d-bags and ho-ettes make the mental star rating travel down faster than a Slip and Slide. The Treaty of Tordesillas(mmmm tortillas) I thought had cast out the d-bags from Midtown and banished them to the Washington strip. Noted recently in my Pub Fiction and Café Layal Midtown reviews — some Ed Hardy wearing muckety-mucks have broken the covenant. So I went into District Nine TWICENOW just to spite them — once for the Unilocal elite thing, and then again for a cocktail party I really did not want to go to but was obligated to attend nearly at gunpoint, similar to how many guns the locals probably own to rob you with as you walk back to your car through a neighborhood best described as SKETCHYAS #*(&$(unless you like those sorts of areas because ‘ya know, you are buying drugs and doing other shady things.) This is not my place. If you have similar tastes as me, you probably know after #325 reviews, then you will not like it. The sea of people, if you can get past the d-bagginess, just scream out that they are trying too hard. The staff are not incredibly nice, friendly, or anything positive. Wait time on drinks is lengthy. Parking is terrible. Back to Midtown we go, forever leaving the cursed District 9 of Ed Hardy-ness and grown men who still fill up bathtubs with cheap cologne and splash around in it before heading out for a cocktail with their dudebro bros.

A nice enough bar in a strange location, the layout and decoration is nice, but fails to deliver its promise. Designed to appear like a classy cocktail lounge, the bartenders seem to lack both the liquor and the skills to mix anything beyond the standard drink menu. No maraschino, no bitters, no unusual liquors, no eggs, and no absinthe make the style as shallow as a four inch puddle in the Atlantic Ocean. There’ll be no Aviation Cocktails, no Old Fashioneds, no Pimm’s Cups, no Pink Ladies… *sigh* On the up and up, I will say that the music, while louder than I prefer, was pretty good, and that while I didn’t have a chance to try the food(it was too late), I’m told it’s quite tasty. Come on with the mixology, Houston — I know you can do it!

Stopped by on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. It was packed at around 11pm but not even a bouncer in sight around 1am. The interior is terribly designed. This is more suited as a restaurant than a bar. The right side has high tables and low sofas with small tables for dining. The décor is similar to an European pub. The left side has a full bar with 4 bartenders but I have to wait forever to get a drink on a slow night. Seeing the bartenders here work is frustrating because they are mindbogglingly slow even when I’m drunk. This is such a new place that I think it’s still trying to establish its clientele. The crowd that night was 50% frat/sorority, 50% Asians. I give it 3 stars because there was no line, good place to chill, and amazing cheap drinks considering it’s next to NOX and Diem. Drink specials include $ 5 mojitos, $ 4.50 draft pints, et al. I also love their restroom scheme. The men’s and women’s are completed joined with individual stalls. I can see some interesting conversations & mad flirting going on once this place gets hopping. I’d spot by again to pregame, then I’d recommend hitting up a better place if you’re looking for some fist pumping action.
