This location is much better than the Stafford one, however the chicken burrito had a strong burnt charred taste, edible but not satisfying. Rotisserie chicken was on point.

I come here every time I go to microcenter since they are right next to each other. They serve some delicious grilled chicken! It’s in their name! Haha. Tortillas are very good especially the flour ones. I tend to order the 3 piece grilled chicken with the 2 sides. I typically order rice and Mac n cheese Which includes a side of tortillas. The chicken pieces are pretty small but I do fill up with the side dishes. Their service isn’t that great, that’s why I Would rate this place 3 stars. They need some work on their service time.

Visited them a few times with coupons/discounts. Food was so-so. Chicken pieces were dried sometimes burnt. Love their rice, beans, churros though. Ordered salads yesterday and they didn’t give us salad dressings. Been on their customer service hotline for over 30 minutes already! Dang! They don’t care! Not sure if we want to return … I give it another 30 minutes to be on hold. That’s it.

I’ve been here many times but I wanted to mention how much I liked my burrito. It was really good and big. For 5.89 you get the meal with chips, drink and your choose of meat. A very good Lunch taste similar to what you would get at chipotle but cheaper. I’m impressed!

I came here because I got a couple of coupons in the mail. I got a family meal that came with a salad, couple pieces of chicken, and churros. The chicken was super dry, and there was barely any meat on the bones — not to mention the pieces were tiny. The sides and salad was just ordinary low quality fast food. The best thing about this place was the quick drive thru. Not sure I’ll be coming back here.

I’ve been here twice in the last week, the food, the service, the pricing, it’s all amazing. I’m so happy I’m within walking distance of this place, my roommate and I are going here every week for their fantastic tostadas, awesome burritos, and great service. They also have an horchata dispenser in their restaurant, and a great toppings bar.

Pros: –Really good food –Professional/polite staff Cons: –Service is incredibly slow, drive thru especially. This is experienced even at non-peak times. The drive thru, for example, takes so long that it takes –at least-5 minutes before a car even moves forward, often times 10 minutes to move 1 car length. The layout for the parking lot/drive thru doesn’t work well with the surrounding businesses — such that if more than a few cars are in the drive thru — you are either blocking the parked guests from leaving(due to minimal lane width for them to manuever, as you approach the drive thru) or blocking the thru-traffic for the other businesses. –Orders have been messed up on 3 out of 6 visits so far. One example from the drive thru included: getting the wrong item compared to what was ordered, no forks with a salad order, no dressing with the salad ordered, no napkins, and wrong drink size. All of the above mistakes in just one visit. –Also: none of the staff, even the manager at the time, knew how to process a purchase of a gift card despite all of their advertisements for their gift cards inside. Some training clearly still needed months in. Only thing that helped this location get 3 stars is the amazing food. Otherwise needs to pick up the drive thru pace and accuracy of orders. Recommendation to guests— if during peak time: don’t even try the drive thru. Instead go inside for getting your order and it will be at least twice as fast. I will still eat here because the food is great, but this location needs improvement.

Frequent this location quite a few times. I always say you get what you pay for. Pollo Loco is is no different. The chicken is pretty darn good. The shrimp tend to be overcooked. The children’s menu is small & only $ 3.99 for each item. The staff is surprisedly friendly. Haven’t had a bad experience yet. A step above Taco Cabana. Would recommend for someone looking for a quick somewhat cheap bite to eat.

I feel like a need a t-shirt that stats: «I went to Pollo Loco and all I liked was the shrimp» Seriously the food wasn’t bad it just wasn’t good… or great. The chicken needs more seasoning. The salsas need more distinctiveness. The employees need more attention, they forgot my poblano sauce and my chipotle sauce… and the two sauces ended up tasting pretty much the same hah. If you go pack some landry’s or other kind of spice/salt. … But the shrimp taco was kind of good, although they forgot about it when they called our name and they were cold when we finally got them. I sent it back and they gave me fresh hots one the second go around. Sigh attention to detail again. I’m not sure I’ll go back

If you want my honest opinion? Here it goes, Second time here, the first time about a week ago we were here the service was ok and the food was warm not hot, so it was the service, so we(family of 4) decided to come and eat again this time the food took about 15 minutes for two chicken bowls and two burritos to be served and on top of that the food was COLD! like it sat in the back a while. It wasn’t until I got up to the counter to ask for my food by then the server completely ignored me standing there wanting to ask for my food went around me and took the food to the table, not to mention the tables were dirty i had to clean it myself and the fountain drinks where out of gas, which I mentioned to the manager about it but he didn’t fix it. I guess it didn’t mater cause I got tea. Definitely won’t be coming back and I urge you to reconsider it you want to spend your money on great food and great service do not come here here the food is cold and service is crapy! don’t do it! Is not worth it!

I miss El Pollo Loco from Cali! Finally it’s here! Chicken was great, customer service was on point, restaurant was clean, overall a great experience. I would salt the salsa a little bit more though!

Came here on Feb 8th for the Facebook reservation invite. You basically got a coupon for a free meal up to a $ 10 value. I love free food and I’ve never tried this place so why not. Pulled up, and obviously everyone else got the free memo also cause it was poppin. And who ever created this location definitely didn’t think the traffic/drive thru operation. It was difficult to be in a drive thru that was very long while people dining in are trying to leave and other traffic passing through. I found my self reversing, moving back and forth multiple times in order to wait for the drive thru. So if you come to this location don’t go during traffic rush hour times. West park is right there so just imagine. Food was good. Chicken was a bit dry but due to just opening I can understand The kinks aren’t all out yet. Ultimate double chicken bowl was over loaded with meat and avocado. It was good. Dressings were even tasty. Even the ranch that was in a packet. And I hate packet dressings. But it wasn’t bad. Employees were super nice and seemed to know what they were doing which is a relief with a new location

Ordered the Ultimate Double Chicken bowl. Not sure what I expected as its my first visit to Elpollo but this wasn’t it. Meal served way to fast, dry chicken, weak looking avocado pieces. Portion size is not what I would expect for«Double» The garnishments and condiments(sour cream, pico and cheese) were very scarce. All on top of eachother in middle of the bowl. Flavors were ok but not great Pro-s Nice customer service rep, clean, ready before I sat down. Today is its first day open and there is some work to be done. If your into Burritos and Bowls this place has some work to do to beat chipotle and noodles a couple blocks away.

The place was packed when I pulled up into the drive thru, but for a free meal soft opening, that’s to be expected. They had someone out in the drive thru handing out paper menus and offering suggestions as you waited, which was great for speeding up the line. I doubt they will keep it going, though, expecially with how hot it can get in Houston in summertime. The ordering process was quick and easy. Most of their offerings are in the $ 5 – 10 range, making for a quick snack or drink. Their a la carte offerings are only a couple of bucks each too. I opted for the loco street tacos and the ultimate shrimp bowl. The street tacos were standard size in double corn tortillas. The chicken looked pulled and was visibly marinated in a red sauce. It was topped off with a healthy portion of cilantro and a cabbage mix that could probably best be described as dry cole slaw. The shrimp bowl was massive and covered in shredded cheese, sour cream, and sliced avocado. There was a healthy portion of shrimp that was well worth the $ 9 price. It wasn’t anything fancy, but if you like fast casual Tex Mex, you’ll find that this is top notch for a cheap price.

They’re finally open and I recommend to go in so you can see the big grill for maybe 100 small chickens so it’s fresh grilled front of you.

I signed up to try a free meal(valued at $ 10 max) as a part of the soft opening for this new location. I opted for drive-thru service since I generally eat on the go. Much to my surprise, as I waited in the line, an employee came up to each car and passed out great coupons for our next visit. Nice! Before arriving to the actual speaker to order, there is a smaller menu displaying some of the more popular items. I think this is great because customers have an opportunity to make up their mind in advance. Since I wasn’t in the mood for chicken, I tried the chile lime shrimp burrito. Taste — 4⁄5. All of the ingredients were very fresh. It was nicely seasoned without being overly salty. Quantity — 4⁄5 Huge! It was at least 6 inches long and filled with ingredients. I just wish there were more shrimp. Value — 5⁄5 Although mine was free today, it’s normally under $ 7.

Said it was open… it’s not yet. Sucks that information was not accurate. Drove 8 miles to get here. Not cool
