GOSOMEWHEREELSE! I used to go to Double Dave’s(not this location) quite often in college and it was great! My husband and i on a whim decided to our toddler son for their Lunch buffet and it was soooo terrible! First, as soon as we walked in, it smelt terrible, which i was able to push to the side. The longer we were in there, the more i realized how disgusting it was in there. On top of all this, there was little to no pizza on the buffet, I think at most at one period in time, there was 3 whole pizzas out. People were sitting around waiting for pizzas to come out. Finally, the pizzas were sooo bad, I ate two slices and felt disgusted after eating it. The worst pizza buffet experience ever.

We walked in at 11:24 am for there 11am-2pm lunch buffet and there was no pizza in site. We asked why and they said it was coming out but there only one guy in the kitchen making pizza. The cashier wouldn’t look us in the eye and was very rude. They also charge 4.99 for small children when at the Katy location small children are free. To top it off it smelled bad when we walked in.

We used to eat here alot. it was really good. Place changed bands a whole back and it’s been horrible ever since. The place does not stay clean and the prices have almost doubled. They charge an arm and a leg for just ok pizza. We stopped going here a while ago. Just not worth the money

Went in tonight with my family around 5:45. Was completely empty. We ordered a medium pizza(half pepperoni, half cheese) and a large veggie(ordered half with no olives only got half with no black olives, still had green olives over the entire thing) and one salad bar. The salad bar was pathetic. Lettuce was limp and not much in the bowl. Most toppings looked like they had been there since this morning. Stale croutons. Pizza from Little Caesars is better and only $ 5. Our bill came to over $ 35. There were dirty dishes on at least one table and no one ever came to clean it. The few people that came in had to wait around for a while for someone to come and take their order. Won’t be going back.

Place is a joke. Unfriendly staff, poor food quality, and their delivery time is at least an hour no matter when you order. Won’t be giving them by business any longer.

We used to regularly go to this Double Dave’s a few years ago for the great crust and the pre-6 pm deals. It was always a mixed bag, though, because the owner never smiled and always grumbled when we would just order the one pizza(hey, we only order what we eat and we don’t eat a lot). He always made us feel like he was doing us a favor by taking our money, and the place smelled like cleaning solution covering up something funky, but crust is everything so we kept coming back. After Papa Murphy’s opened up over on Hwy 6, we stopped going to DD and haven’t been back until tonight, when I just felt like going back to DD for a change. I thought maybe things would have changed, but I was wrong. I went online and tried ordering, but the system wasn’t taking orders, and the phone call wouldn’t go through. So we hopped in the car and made the 15 minute drive through traffic. When we got there, the same sour owner made some sort of attempt at smiling when we came in, but it was more like a grimace. At the counter, we saw that the Internet-listed Thursday deal of a specialty pizza for $ 12.99 instead of $ 18something was not in fact the Thursday special. I mentioned this but the cashier shrugged and didn’t answer. I then said a lot of things on their website were wrong, including their phone number. At that point she snapped that it WAS the right number, but their internet was down. Seriously? Internet phone for a retail business that depends on call-in orders? Maybe the wrong place to cut costs? We decided to order anyway since we were there and hungry, and just make it the last time at this location. We sat down to wait at the sticky tables and were followed by one other party of suckers. We were the only people in the place. The pizza came out to us on a platter despite having ordered it to go. The server put it in a box and apologized, which was the only time anyone in the joint seemed at all interested in whether we were getting good service. Ironically it was the most easily-remedied problem of the whole visit. My advice? Definitely go to Double Dave’s for their specials. Just skip this location. Everything points to absolute apathy towards customers. My only guess as to why they’re still in business is that they are kept alive by the lunch buffet crowd, where individual customer service is less important. p. s. the crust wasn’t as good as I remembered.

I’d only ever heard of Double Dave’s in passing and was looking for a quick sit down place for pizza and thought I’d try it. The place is dimly lit and was completely dead when I got there(8PM on a Friday). They only have dinner buffets on Wednesday and Sunday. We ordered two pizzas with honey-wheat crust and they were ready in about 15 minutes. The wheat crust was a nice touch and was not hard/bitter like what sometimes happens. It was not the best pizza I had ever had but it definitely did not disappoint and satisfied my craving. Basically, the pizza was good, staff was alright, prices were too high.

Just went to Double Dave’s, and this is place is horrible! I strongly advise anyone who’s thinking of dining in this establishment to not even bother. The pizza buffet looks like it had been there awhile, and the staff working there… well, let’s just say it’s like there is no staff. Literally waiting a long time to get someone to come up, and help. You’re better off going to some other pizza place. Trust me, if I could I would give this place a zero rating.

Better than ordering Domino’s or Pizza Hut but, I did wait an hour and 40 minutes before for delivery and they seemed unconcerned when I called about it. In addition the manager never called me back or followed up. Nevertheless, the pizza is pretty good. I tend to either pick it up now or ask how long I will be waiting if I call for delivery.

The worst double daves in houston. Poor buffet, slow delivery, pizza over cooked, pizza rolls are tiny, and they have no idea what customer service is. Me and my family will never eat there pizza again.

We hit this spot up on our way to CiCis because they flatout have a better quality of Buffett pizza. They have a $ 5.99 Buffett during the weekdays and I was willing to pay $ 2 extra for this place. My wife and I tried a nice variety of pizza such as barbecue chicken, meat lovers, they even had Stromboli. I wished they had brought fresh pizza out more often because the little kids that were there devoured it like fire ants each time. With CiCis you get what you pay for. You might leave full but you won’t leave saying«I like this place» I give double Dave’s a thumbs up. Now if Pizza Inn comes to Katy I’ll be excited

Delish! We frequent their buffet for fresh & tasty pizzas. Our favs: sausage & mushroom, spinach & mushroom, ham & pineapple and BBQ chicken. The sandwiches(steak & cheese, and spinach & cheese) on the buffet are excellent. For dessert they rotate cinnamon bread sticks, chocolate chip thin pizza pie, and cherry turnover pockets. They also have tasty pepperoni rolls, but I find them a little on the greasy side. For those that love something hot & spicy, try the hot wing pizza.

I’ve been coming to this Double Dave’s for several years now and I really am impressed with how good their service has always been. The pizza’s they serve during their buffet hours(11am — 2pm each afternoon and from 5:30pm — 9:30pm on Sundays and Wednesdays) are delicious. The price is very reasonable and cheap during these times, and once you’ve paid they ask if there is any kind of pizza you’d like to see on the buffet. All of their pizza’s are good, but the BBQ Chicken is an amazing blend of sweet and tangy barbecue sauce on hand tossed crust topped with tender chicken and melted cheese. During my last trip to this Double Dave’s I asked if I could have a to-go menu and was informed they didn’t have any. Within ten minutes of our meal, the cashier had printed out the store menu and brought it to us. During buffet services(and probably on most other nights) the staff walks around the dining room and removes plate and trash from the tables, which is nice. Bottom-line, if you’re looking for more than your usual pizza head over to Double Dave’s Pizzaworks. Your get a lot of pizza for you buck, and you may find a specialty pizza or stromboli that hits the spot.

Yay! First review(surprisingly) for this location! The fiancé & I were back in town from LA, visiting family & friends. I was craving some unhealthy pizza eats, and we remembered seeing this Double Dave’s in the area. I’m pretty easy to please, especially when I’m hungry and impatient, so 4 stars for this place, considering it’s a pizza buffet. The pizza & salad were fine, and I appreciate how they already had little sauce cups for you to fill with marinara or ranch for your dipping pleasure. Don’t expect the pizza to be like Papa John’s or Domino’s, but more like the teeny weeny Cici’s pizza kind. But I’m fine with that. Sometimes I just like to have my pizza ready when I’m ready, and with a salad bar to boot. I should also mention that they also have dessert pizza(drizzled with a concoction of cinnamon/chocolate/powdered sugar), which the fiancé ate first before eating his salad & other slices of actual pizza.
