District 7 Pizzeria

I love district 7! Their food is amazing! Their service is also awesome! Taylor is the best!

Pizza was delicious and staff members were very polite. Music From the club above was coming through the ceiling and was kinda obnoxious.

Clearly this establishment is not run the way D7 runs other locations. D7 downtown is one of my favorite places in Houston. This joint… Meh. I’ll never go back.
The saving grace was the pizza. And since it’s a pizzeria, I figure that warrants them an extra star. I split the buffalo chicken pizza with a friend. Very tasty, although not cooked evenly.
The reason this place really hangs closer to only one star… The asshat behind the counter. Rude from the moment we walked in. Never acknowledged us waiting until I leaned on the counter. At that point he asked, «did you want to order something?» Oh, no. I just love walking into counter service restaurants and standing at the counter without ordering anything. So we proceed to order. He asks what size I want. I ask for a visual, bc I can’t picture the two in comparison. He points to the quarter size circle on the menu. [blank face] At the risk of sounding like a basic whi… I can’t even. So then it’s time to pay. He never says the total, just glances over at it on the register as my signal to know what to pay. My «clearly customer service isn’t a as important here as at other D7 restaurants,» was returned with a «what’d you say? Whatever.»
I might also mention that there was one one other person in there, and the place was filthy.
Never ever going back. And actually, I’m knocking it back down to one star just for having to relive the experience in this review.

This is an update to my 1-​star rating from a week or so ago. I just received a very nice message from District 7 Pizzeria via Unilocal.They apologized for my bad experience and offered to make it right. Actually, if I hadn’t of already tried them twice, I’d of probably accepted… because I LOVE pizza :-)
Unfortunately, our ideas of great pizza or Italian food is very different. However, I really appreciate any business that does what it can to make customers happy, so I’m adding a star and this explanation for their approach to customer service.
That said, my review wasn’t for service or a dine-​in experience, but for my personal opinion of their food and my disappointment in that category – really the only thing I’ll ever write a review about for a restaurant is on the food itself. Perhaps the 2 pizzas and other food I’ve ordered happened on really bad nights, but I still personally feel that due to the overall great rating they currently have on Unilocal,my lower-​rating review should remain in place. After all, I ordered from them based on these reviews.
Again, I sincerely thank them for making a real effort to try and keep me as a customer!

I saw the stars and saw it was on the top of the list. I ordered two pizzas that were over priced and fell flat and extremely cold. Wings were cold. Delivery takes an hour. No thanks. Never again.

Ordered delivery through GrubHub: We got the Hawaiian pizza and 1lb of hot wings (6 pieces for $ 10) tossed in Sriracha BBQ sauce. Delivery took forever and when the pizza finally got here, it was so cold that we had to pop it in the oven to warm it up. The pizza itself was pretty forgettable. Wings were pretty sizable, but not enough to justify the price. The Sriracha BBQ sauce was the only highlight of an otherwise underwhelming experience that left us wishing we had ordered underwhelming Chinese food instead. Definitely a place with a bad case of the YOHs ( Unilocal over hype syndrome).

I tried this place because all the positive reviews. I don’t want to go in detail but this place was not what I expected. They have low quality ingredients. The Parmesan Chickens was chewy, probably frozen chicken. The pizza was nothing to brag about.

WOW! Best pizza I have had, hands down. Great food and incredibly nice workers. Will for sure come back!
Known about this place for two months, I’ve come back six time since.

I’ve ordered delivery from District 7 a few times thru eat24 and I’ve always been pleased. we like the backyard pizza and to make our own mushroom pizza. It’s always good.

Food is good, JASON IS RUDE AND COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Messed our order up, delivered it to the wrong address, and got mad at me and never deliver our Dinner. Leaving our party of 5 with out dinner. Be Warned!

This place was great. They have awesome ingredients like veal and venison sausage and everything is really fresh. People that work there are really cool too. Good place to grab some pizza for sure.

This place is awesome! Great food and service. One time my order was messed up, but the owner was very apologetic and offered free pizza! We still paid, since we ate the whole thing!

I’ve been to District 7 Pizzeria twice now for lunch. The pizza by the slice is fantastic, crust is crunchy and crisp on the outside but doughy on the inside. The paninis are also well made. The turkey pesto was buttery with awesome roasted garlic and stringy mozzarella. The staff is super friendly, proud of their menu as they should be because there is a lot of great stuff to eat!

The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic and worth every penny. I’ve never had a bad experience when eating/​ordering from here.

Really enjoyed our experience at District 7 — the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the supreme pizza really outstanding. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is there wasn’t much of a vibe going on since the place was totally empty. This certainly isn’t a reflection on the quality of food or service, rather I suspect the place hasn’t yet built a following and/​or we were there on an unusually slow evening. The plus of that of course is we got totally great one-​on-​one service! Spread the word — thumbs up!

Great service here, located at the edge of Downtown. The food is sooooooo good. The spinach artichoke dip with Pita chips is ridiculous. Fresh mixed greens salad and the pizza is Da Best with parmesan dusted on the crust. Yum!

Soooooo good! Very friendly and accommodating customer service and the pizza is amazing. I ordered the bison pizza and it was seriously incredible! I’m not even a fan or seeker of bison but hot damn it was good!
The pizza and food in general at any of the district 7s is flavorful without being unhealthy. I recommend this establishment and all the other district 7s… you won’t be disappointed.

Ate here with my wife for lunch. We ordered each a slice of pepperoni pizza, an order of garlic Parmesan «Texas Popsicles», one bottle of beer and one fountain drink. Cost $ 30.
The pizza by the slice was huge. We could have split one and had plenty. As far as the taste, the pizza had a very overpowering herbs taste.
The wings were good. They were also very strong tasting, but not bad.

What a great find. I just happen to be in the area getting some printing done and I popped in for a bite of pizza. Like everyone else has mentioned, don’t judge it by the outside. The inside is decorated nicely and they have an extensive menu. I was thrilled that they serve single slices (they are huge by the way). I got pepperoni, ricotta, and black olives on mine and I was very happy. The pizza pretty much melts in your mouth. I really like the red sauce that they use. Very flavorful. If I’m ever in that area again, I will definitely stop by.

The outside/​location of this place sort of threw me off, but don’t let it fool you!
There isn’t a large, set menu for the pizzas. You get to customize it to however you want! Types of crust, types of cheese, types of sauce. Etc.
I had two slices of the 12″ thin crust, Parmesan, marinara, … And don’t remember the toppings. It filled me up pretty fast!
The workers are extremely nice! They gave us all their attention and catered to our wants very quickly and kindly.
