The Deborah Colton Gallery recently hosted an Art and Advocacy benefit, that I got the pleasure of attending thanks to Unilocal! The guy and I got there right at starting time and were able to view all of the pieces up for auction. The space is fairly typical for a gallery… lots of white walls and art. Now, mind you, I’m no art collector but it’s nice to see that art still has a place in this world. I love creativity and the set up of this gallery allows for multiple types of displays and lighting effects. The rooms go from large to small, which make it great for showcasing one particular artist in one specific area. There were pieces from photographers, mixed media and traditional paintings. I can’t say I’d come back as the prices here are much higher than my budget allows, but if you’re a collector I would check it out!

I visited the Deborah Colton Gallery for the Art + Advocacy Benefit Auction co-sponsored by Unilocal Houston. I had never heard of this Gallery before but I am so glad that I know about it now. It is a beautiful gallery with amazing art adorning the walls. The event was absolutely inspiring and Deborah is a beautiful soul. They had many pieces that I would love to go and admire a bit more. She has a few collections that are mind grabbing and I would suggest that if you have the time to swing by her Gallery and check out the different pieces of art.

The owner of the gallery is a very kind person who supports charities and lets very sick individuals share her office during a cold fall evening.
