David Oriental Rugs

We were looking for new area rugs for our living area. Our decorator suggested the home decorating stores in Highland Village. We looked but were very disappointed by the poor quality and high prices. We had heard about David and decided to take a look — they had an amazing selection of well made high quality rugs. Their customer service was beyond compare. The people in the store know rugs! They would not let us settle — they sincerely wanted to be happy with our selection. I would go back again in a heartbeat!

After recent rains brought water into our home, we were in need of a professional rug cleaning for our 9′ x 12′ Persian rug. A gift from friends who had traveled through the region years prior, this is the «real deal» and we knew we needed to find a true professional to handle the cleaning.
The last time we took it in for cleaning, about two years ago, we used a place on Westheimer near Fountainview which consistently gets good reviews, but were terribly disappointed. The rug smelled so strongly of chemicals, that even two years later we could still catch the scent.
David was totally wonderful when we brought the rug in. He examined it closely, provided an appraisal, and agreed to work with us on the pick up time once it was clean knowing that our home may not be ready after the remodel that was necessary from the flooding.
Weeks later, our home is finally back to normal and we’ve picked up the rug (without storage fees, as promised.) The difference from the last cleaning we had done is night and day. The rug looks a lot better and has virtually no smell. He was even able to remove a couple of very old stains.
We are so pleased to have found David, and will be using him for all of our future rug cleaning needs.

What a fabulous experience and beautiful rugs! I bought a rug from David a few weeks ago, and after getting it home I thought it might be a bit too light for my space. David offered to bring a second option to my home and let me see both rugs, side-​by-​side in my home. He swapped out the rugs and placed the new one with no hassle at all. I had also looked at his stock of rugs, and am very impressed with selection and prices. I’m just not in the market for one at this time. I fully support the other positive reviews listed here.

I bought a beautiful rug from David not long ago and had a great experience. I generally find rug buying to be intimidating. It can be such a big purchase, and I’m never really sure I’m getting the best quality for my money. But David was very knowledgeable and seemed trustworthy. He was patient and very willingly to take as much time with us as we needed. Will definitely go back for any future rug needs. Recommend highly!

After a very long search, we were SO happy we found this gem!
We purchased two rugs and got a great deal. We began a tedious search through the internet, downtown, Galleria and Spring Branch.
David was the most knowledgeable, least pushy dealer and most fairly priced that we have come across. His professionalism and expertise was like none we had encountered in our months of searching. He came to our home and immediately knew his merchandise and what would work. He brought over several rugs and made very valid points to help us with our investments; we have visitors and pets over often.
