David did the photography for our wedding 7 years ago, and was absolutely phenomenal. He is a gifted photographer with a skilled artistic vision and is fantastic at capturing all the hidden and special moments many others might miss. He employs assistants to cover large events who are just as skilled and share his vision, so you get optimal coverage of your special occasion. He also traveled to Galveston to shoot our engagement pictures and knew a fantastic spot to take them — he has a great wealth of knowledge and experience in photographing couples and events around the Houston/​Galveston area.
In the years after our wedding, he has done several portrait sessions with us for a variety of family portraits. All of them have been wonderful and fun experiences and the photographs have been fantastic. I really cannot say enough nice things about David’s skill or what a joy he is to work with, he really is that good.
As other reviewers have noted, you owe it to yourself to schedule an appointment to have a chat with David and see his work.

Ok — WHY I haven’t reviewed him before is beyond me, but this is actually the second time I have worked with David. He did a private shoot for me and a friend a few years ago that was so unbelievably amazing that words cannot describe. He is an artist with that camera! I tell you!
My review now is prompted by the engagement shoot he just did last weekend for my me and my fiancé. SPEECHLESS. He absolutely encapsulated who we are — I cannot stand super posed, generic everyone-​wears-​black-​or-​white-​shirts and– jeans photos and goes to the park photos — ugh! We live in Austin and have a lot of different interests. We chose several locations, all outdoors and within minutes from each other. We crawled around and hiked up steep inclines just to get some really fun, out of the ordinary shots. He has such an eye and knows exactly how to capture the money shot moments without you even knowing it! If I could give him 100 stars I would — seriously. I don’t even care what my wedding photos look like — unfortunately he will not be our photographer as we are getting married in Hawaii — as these shots of us show who we really are. I cannot thank him enough as these pics will last us a life time.
If you are even slightly questioning who to use as your wedding photographer, look no further. You may find some out there that are cheaper, but let me tell you — YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and once it’s done, it’s done. You can’t re-​do your wedding pics. These days everyone thinks they can buy an expensive camera and call themselves a photographer — not the case. Check out his website

I had narrowed it down to 2 photographers and chose David because he was very easy to talk to — he seemed like someone I would be friends with!
He was also very interested in our wedding plans some photo ideas we had (we took him to a location he had never been to!). I find this impressive bc I would imagine it would get old after a while… another wedding, another finicky bride…
David also shoots things other than weddings which I think only adds to his skill. If you need a photographer, you owe it yourself to visit David to chat & see his work in person.
