My wife and I took our daughter-in-law and grandson for lunch today, and had an excellent meal. We were seated in the bar area, receiving excellent service from the bartender(even though we weren’t imbibing in alcohol). The other three had the Pollo Encamisado(preceded by a choice of a wonderful-smelling soup or their fabulous salad), and I had one of the best hamburgers in the city, prepared exactly as ordered(as to degree of doneness), covered with avocado, pickled onions, bacon, smoked mustard and a red pepper remoulade(I omitted the cheese, but it comes with Provolone). There’s also a side of fries served with a spicy ketchup that is sensational. Oh… did I mention that it also comes with your choice of soup or salad, as well? It’s not cheap(roughly $ 60 for four people, with two splitting one meal), but the food was superb. At lunchtime, open parking prevails – no valet, and spaces were easy to find right in front.

Went in not too long ago with my boyfriend everything seemed okay till we got seated, our waiter was an older hispanic man didnt get his name but it was the worst service ive ever gotten in my life! I could have gotten better service at a fast food place. Got seated asked us for our drinks ordered our food and never came back not once to check on us… thank goodness we had bottles to refill our own drinks otherwise we wouldn’t have had any, meanwhile it was dead in the restaurant at the time. Sad part is my family used to go all the time to this location now we wont be back.

So, you’re BF’s family reserves a room for close to 50 with a bill between $ 1500-$ 2500 for their daughter. You would expect top notch service right? Well, I’m here to tell you it’s not worth it. Two families had to leave, even though they were told to bring their food out first. They couldn’t even figure out whether or not to box their food. They kept forgetting me and BF. Worst, they forgot BF’s brother and after three times and me bitching at a waiter they bring out his food. BF’s soup was lukewarm and they kept forgetting several guests orders, with the brother being the worst. My thing is if you’re going to fork over a grand, then the service and food need to be exceptional. I expected a slower wait time, but not how unprepared and unprofessional the party was. Even the manager was a mess not fixing the problem, just listening as if though he was an uninterested friend. I will definitely not return to this location. The service was mediocre and the average food didn’t warrant this behavior. If you’re bringing a large party take them elsewhere where your money will be appreciated.

My family held a luncheon here for my sister’s graduatuon. I’ve been to several other Cordua establishments, so I had high hopes, but service this time was a bit off. We had somewhere between 40 – 50 people in a party room with four servers helping us, but they seemed incredibly uncoordinated when it came to the food. On the bright side, they were spot on when it came to making sure our drinks were refilled promptly. One family that had been waiting an hour and a half and had somewhere to be indicated they needed to leave in about 30 minutes. My parents repeatedly told waiters to make sure that family got served ASAP. The food came out almost right as the family got up to leave, along with everyone else’s orders. My first course(black bean soup) was pleasant, topped with plantain chips and pico de gallo that added a bit of spice While my second course(blue tilapia) was flaky and delicious, the accompanying sauce and fried mushrooms were so salty that it took down the dish a notch. The servers set down plates in the middle without explanation. Apparently they were sides for us? Several orders just didn’t come out, including a person sitting adjacent to my sister, the guest of honor, and our brother. He had to tell waiters three times about the food not coming out. After 30 minutes and most of us having finished our food, his meal finally came out. My parents were stressed and spoke to the manager. He wasn’t able to do much during the party, but afterward was able to knock some of the items off the tab where we had the biggest issues. He also gave my parents a couple of brunch passes. It was a nice way to compensate for the problems we had. Even with the miscues on the food, the experience itself was generally positive. I’ve had better experiences at other Cordua establishments, but I’d be willing to give this place another shot under the right circumstances.

Very cool atmosphere. Perfect for nice date. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar. It was happy hour(4 – 7) cheap beer and a nice assortment of food during happy hour. Instead of your regular chips and salsa they serve some type of banana chip but they don’t have an over powering banana taste, it’s served with two types of sauce to dip that are delicious

A consistently good restaurant. I come to Churrascos several times a year with business clients. They have a good menu, elegant atmosphere and hearty staff. If you have a group, they have private rooms and can prepare a nice fixed menus. Their namesake dish is exquisite and so I recommend that, in the small portion. I tell my guests that they can order the larger cuts, but by the time they have sampled appetizers, plantains, and all the side dishes they will find themselves overfull. Leave room for dessert and their reasonably priced scotch selection. They try hard but I don’t think the cooks time the meats well for groups of eight or larger. It’s hard to get a medium rare served in larger groups anywhere and this place is unfortunately in that category. So if you should consider keeping your party small or, like me order a few martinis and not let the little things bother you. All their deserts are really awesome. Get on the treadmill and make the calorie balance available so you can really have a great meal.

Churrascos is such a fantastic restaurant, the quality and service you get is exactly as you would want! This is their original location and it has been serving some of the best steaks in Texas– but what you really need to come in for is the Sunday BRUNCH!!! The all-you-can eat buffet is such a steal! They have carving stations, build you omlettes or crepes, plenty of warm foods. just to die for! The employees of this place do not leave, they know how to treat customers and you’ll see them shaking hands with so many people when customers walk in– it truly feels like family here(even if you didn’t get the handshake). This is the same company that also put out America’s and Amazon Grill(two other great reccomendations!). I highly suggest this place, their panko crusted shrimp had me dreaming about it for days.

I do not know if this is the original location, but it is by far the best. We met some friends for lunch and everything was wonderful. Our waiter was a bit quirky but excellent. The food was delicious. Can’t wait till next time!

Churrrascos was a great experience for the first time being there. one thing I really recommend from this place is there imported beer from Brazil, xingu, this is a dark smooth beer and has an amazing taste. I’m rating this place five stars due to its great service cleanliness, and good food. I probably didn’t get an amazing dish to leave me astonished, but it’s nothing to complain about, it was delicious. again great customer service.

Still one of my favorites in houston. Creamy ceasar salad dressing, awesome steaks, tres leches – perhaps the best dessert in town and most importantly the staff is excellent. Especially Rambo. He works the bar, take out orders and serves half a dozen tables all at the same time — he really is the best!

Went in for Sunday brunch after years of not visiting their Westchase location. Nice brunch selections including omelete and meat carving sections. Drinks are decently priced at $ 3 for mimosas, mojitos and a few other options. Their thinly sliced platain chips with chimichurri sauce are bomb. The yuca puffs, and gallo pinto were yummy as well but the absolute highlight of our meal was of course their Pio X and 3 Leches desserts!!! Overall nice place for brunch although a little overpriced in my opinion. The boyfriend loved it so that’s all that matters Chao

All the locations are nice enough on the inside, but not always the most appealing from the outside. But we don’t go to restaurants for what the building looks like, do we? There is nothing that I can say about Churrascos that is bad. I have been to every single location and also every location for their affiliated restaurants, Americas and Artista, but this is the location I have been to the most because I worked in Westchase for years. I have eaten there at least 100 times over the years and I have never, ever had a complaint. I’m even one of those«freaks» who like steak well done, and they take my order without trying to convince me to have it medium rare, and they are magically able to make the steak well done yet tender and juicy, which any good chef can do, even if they think you are making them commit a sin by cooking it well done. There is something so amazing and different about a steak when it is prepared the Latin American way. And despite the fact that I hate mushrooms, I love their setas(mushroom) sauce on my steak. My favorite thing to order is the platter, because they cook meat so well and everything is so flavorful. After the first time I had the tres leches cake, it became something I ordered at every visit. I have never in my life had a better tres leches cake. Considering the consistent quality of the food, the prices are really fair.

Came for happy hour. Great service, better food and nicely priced drinks. All happy hour prices ranges from 3 $-7 $ 4pm-7pm. We had the Mac and cheese, and something like a meatball in a yuca cup, we also asked for a side of beans and bread and they brought it out beautifully!!!

We came for the brunch buffet. I must say, this is a must eat! There was a variety of options from pork cut straight from the pig, waffles, pasta station, churros, yucca, plantains and empanadas. The beef empanadas, waffles and alfajores(mini Argentinian cookies) stood out. I think there was only 1 item from the 20+ items I ate that wasn’t good. The service was great. I expected a lot from this place, and I got even better than expected.

I definitely prefer this location over the one in Sugar Land(the one in Sugar Land is pretty good too but sometimes you get inconsistencies). The few times that I’ve been here, it’s been consistent and nothing but the best. The first time I came here was 2 years ago for my wedding tasting. Everything was on par — food, drinks, service! This past weekend, my friend had her rehearsal dinner here. There was a private room in the back that could hold 9 tables with an overflow room that can hold another 6 more tables. It was like a mini-wedding reception in itself. Churrascos was able to accommodate a customized menu for my friend’s party. It was very impressive! Food — Nothing but excellence with this Churrascos! We started off with the usual plantain chips with the red dip and the chimichurri dip. They never failed my taste buds, especially when they’re hot and fresh! We had several appetizers, empanadas, mini tacos, and a coconut shrimp. The empanadas are to die for — chicken and beef. The sauces that accompanied the empanadas were delicious, especially the tomato based spicy sauce. We had a salad as well(don’t remember the name of it). The dressing was unique in a good way. Now for the main entrée, everyone at my table ordered the Churrasco! Boy was it tender and juicy! It practically melted in my mouth! One thing worthy of noting — they have always gotten medium rare perfectly! Bravo! We finished off our meal with a rich piece of tres leches cake paired with a small cup of coffee. Their tres leches is heavy but divine! It’s one of their signature desserts. Service — Our waiter was attentive and prompt. Despite how big our party group was, they were able to deliver excellent service throughout the entire night. There were no signs of frustration despite many demands. Ambiance — beautifully decorated. The private room has a romantic feel. Excellent set up for larger private parties. I definitely recommend this place!

Came here for a birthday dinner and the food was pretty good, just different lol. The service was good, even though service was kind of slow. It was a 8 top and we didn’t ask for much so I wonder what the hold up was?(This location wasn’t busy at all especially for a Friday) I’ll come back but maybe a different location. Food kind of reminds me of the restaurant«America’s».

Very pleased with the excellent service. I made reservations via Open Table and brought my dad here for lunch. I wrote a note on the reservation that it was his bday and to feel free and do whatever it is they do for them. I liked that option, rather than sneaking away or whispering and making eye signals to the hostess haha… yes I do that :) The table was ready when we arrived and to our surprise, Houston Restaurant Week was still going on. So we took advantage of the HRW menu… duuuh! John was our server and he was EXCELLENT! He presented us with a cute«Birthday» card at the table and shook my dad’s hand wishing him a happy birthday. Our meals as you can see were delicious, fast and filling. We both had enough to take home. John then brought my dad a piece of Tres Leches cake with a candle. Not only is it his favorite, but it was perfect — not too sweet. What a great lunch spot. Easy parking, not packed and excellent service! Thanks guys!

This review is based on HRW. The good thing about this place is that it’s spacious and plenty of parking spots. Furthermore, the friendly staffs provided a good service. Moreover, you’re able to make reservation for a big party with no problem! I made a 12 people reservation. However, I thought the food was mediocre… The plantain chips and dips(5⁄5) — I can eat this all day. Ahi Tuna(3.5÷5) ASADOENSALSASETAS8oz filet(3.5÷5) Tres leches(3.5÷5) — It was good and not that soggy but it was too sweet for my liking. Flan(5⁄5) — Best I ever had. Overall it’s a good place to try it out.

My husband and I eat out pretty often. With both of us being in the restaurant industry, many times we are disappointed with different aspects of service or food quality versus price. I can honestly say this is one of the best dinner experiences we have had in Houston. We were planning on going to Benihana, but the wait time was an hour(Saturday night), so we walked over to Churrascos because we had never tried it before, and it didn’t look quite as busy. We were immediately seated and had our drink orders taken promptly. We both tried the Restaurant Week Menu so we could share several dishes. We had the Ensalada Churrascos and the Ahi Tuna Ceviche to start. Both dishes were fresh and full of flavor. For entrees, we tried The Churrasco and the Asado en Salsa Setas. The meat was tender, juicy, and cooked exactly to temperature. I will say the Asado en Salsa Setas was superior. The sauce was amazing. For dessert we tried the Tres Leches and Flan de Queso. Both were good, but the Flan stole the show. Not too sweet, but perfectly creamy and delicious. We paired our meal with the Catena Vista Flores Malbec which also proved to be an excellent choice. The only thing we didn’t like was the Idiazabal Mac and Cheese which we had ordered as an extra side. It was dry and rather tasteless. Our server took it away and had it promptly removed from our bill, no questions asked. Service was paced wonderfully, especially for a Saturday night. Great, low key ambiance. Loved the atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my first visit to Churrascos. Absolutely one of my favorites, now, to go when I want a fancy dinner! It’s a pricey place and the South American flavors are amazing and the Tres Leches is decadent! I was a very happy girl when my boyfriend surprised me by bringing me here for a nice, romantic, and elegant dinner! The flavors are bold and soothed my pallet. The plantain chips and salsas tho!!! All I can say is find one near you an go!

Well, now I see why I always liked this place. I never actually ate in the restaurant. I always ordered stuff to pick up and bring home. So I never had to experience the service. We popped in on a Sunday just about 30 minutes before the end of brunch. We looked through the brunch area… omelette bar, meats, veggies, pastas and all sorts of good looking brunch food. But when we tried to order the brunch we were told that it was no longer available because it had been setting out too long. Wow… really. Thirty minutes before brunch was over? And with a design your own fresh made omelette bar? Ooookkkaaayy. So we decided to order off the menu. They did let us order from the lunch menu. But man, the waiter had no personality and barely spoke a word to us the entire time we ordered. Of course with the very loud table of young women seated next to us — who obviously got to enjoy their brunch — maybe he was afraid we wouldn’t be able to hear him anyway. Still I honestly don’t remember him saying ANYTHING. Yes the ceviche was still really good. That’s what I always call ahead and order to take home. But that was about all that was worth anything. The steaks we had were dry and nearly burned. I am not sure what med-rare means but here it means«cooked til leather». Look, for this amount of money you can get a much better dining experience at almost any steakhouse in the city. Heck, go next door to Benihana and get a show with your food.

The food is outstanding. When you sit down they bring out plantain chips with two sipping sauces– chimichurri and a red, sweeter sauce. Their chimichurri is the best I’ve ever had. We enjoyed the restaurant week menu. Their plantain encrusted calamari is crunchy and yummy! My family had the churrasco. I tried it and it’s perfection. Cooked with charcoal and you can taste it! The flavor is outstanding and it’s juicy and tender. I had the pork steak with shrimp and crab. Too much food but it was outstanding. For dessert we has tres leches. The best I have ever had but it is quite sweet. The reason it won’t get a 5 from me is because the waiter was new so we clearly didn’t get the best service. We had to remind him multiple times for everything and he got my dad’s appetizer order wrong.
