Stopped in to Chacho’s after the car show. I have heard better things about the other location but this one was kinda meh. The queso was thick but made with real cheese just made it hard to get it on chips. The chicken I know is fresh because you get bones with your shredded chicken. The picadillo beef was good. They do have many different salsa/dressing options which is nice. Cost for 3 people was $ 50…thought that was a little ridiculous since my tacos were only 3.50 a piece. No need to go back for me.

Been here a million times! Everything we get is usually delicious! It’s always soo busy… the only reason I didn’t give 5*****! Soo busy that it’s hard to enjoy your meal.

Chacho’s is good, cheap eating any time of the day… but, I find it’s BEST late night after three, four or seven drinks(but who’s counting)? Lol Their margaritas are very tasty & strong. Can’t comment on any other drinks because I’ve only had water & margaritas here. Haven’t really had anything I didn’t like here, but I especially love the tacos and enchiladas. My favorite dish used to be the crab & shrimp nachos but they stopped serving seafood a couple years ago. It literally broke my heart, which is why I can’t give them another star :-( Anyhow, if you ever have a late night craving for non-authentic Mexican food, try Chachos!

OMG it’s super dirty in here! 9:18 a.m. And there is a huge gnat covered pile of dinner plates from last night and old dirty rags just sitting in the walk way. Gnats all over the food bar. The tray my food was served on has sticky film from a previously spilt drink! Never stopping here again.

If you seek a TexMex restaurant, with a dirty parking lot, unkempt interior, and rude, hostile, wait-people, this is the place for you! I never expected much out of this place. I suspect the only thing that keeps their usual well-fed rabble coming in is the big portions. There is nothing at all particularly good about anything they serve… Just more of it. I popped in here yesterday for a simple order of nachos and encountered far more drama than I could have expected. In short, they charged me $ 3.00 extra for hot sauce, and then got angry when I pointed out that they had not put the hot sauce in my bag. They studied my receipt, discussed it amongst themselves, and after a bit of delay, they reluctantly handed me a container of sauce. Needlass to say, I threw the entire order in the trash after I left. Folks, this place is a food service nightmare. The employees are miserable and indifferent. From now on, I’ll get my quick nachos from a taqueria.

Seriously, WTH is wrong with you people?! ;-) Chacho’s is awesome! It’s like Taco Cabana and Pappasito’s had a naughty evening and this is their love child. One part sketchy fast food, one part carefully crafted Tex-Mex… it’s such a beautiful thing! Ignore the awkwardness and just embrace it. I actually hate frozen ‘ritas, but these are stellar. And how can you dog a place that serves nachos fit for 8 people?!? With homemade queso, nonetheless. Seriously Houston, buck up and embrace the non-sterile environment for the sake of good, cheap eats.

I am not a greasy food fan. I did like the fish taco. They do have well priced lunch specials if you like this kind of food, which my fiancée does. The outdoor sitting has a ranch-ish fell(I liked) and its facing the highway.

Filthy. I walk in for a taco and a beer on the way to an appointment. Not one employee greets me on my way in, or says ‘Hi’ as I sit down at the bar. First thing that happens is, I put my hand on the bar to support myself, and its covered in some kind of grease. I almost fell, and that’s just nasty. Second…I am patient… I sit and wait for 15 minutes just to be acknowledged. There was 1 other person sitting at the bar. At the least a Fuck You would be better. Never again.

Inexpensive drinks and food! The spot is a bit on the ratchet side and does have an unsavory crowd at times. My kinda spot!!! No pretentious bougieness goings ons! I’ve gone with a business suit after work, joggers after the gym, even party clothes after the club; it is shat it is. They make their tortillas and sorts fresh. The food is pretty good. It’s better than that make a run for the border place. The drinks will put you on your arse! Strong and cheap. Just a little advice… take a Beano…

Pros: $uper cheap Cons: Not tasty! Mid-scale Taco Bell w/libations. If you like cold, dry, multi cultures food that is definitely the spot for you. Otherwise, the food was disgusting. The ordering style is walk up and pay, so prepare to be your own waitress.

I love this place. I’ve had lunch, breakfast, drinks. Staff is friendly. Food is good. Atmosphere is relaxed. There’s a patio. They could improve cleanliness but everything else is a plus.

I’ve been to Chacho’s several times throughout the years, to the locations in both Houston and San Antonio. This 610 location is the absolute worst one of them all. First off there was nobody at the counter to take anyone’s orders. Once our order was placed, we began looking for a table, most of the tables were either waiting to be bussed, or just flat out dirty, pieces of food or sauces on them. The condiment bar was also filthy, and most of the salsas were either empty or other salsas had been spilled into each other. Then it took almost half an hour to receive our order, once we brought it back to the table we discovered our food was lukewarm. The taco meat was lukewarm, my taquito was lukewarm, the rice was lukewarm, and the cheese on my wifes nachos had already solidified from sitting too long. The tortilla that came with my meal had a big hole torn in the middle of it, plus we had ordered a side of pancakes and it had this black stuff all over them(almost like cigarette ash) like it had been cooked on a dirty skillet. If you have to get a Chachos fix, drive a little further and go to a different location. This one just seems to be so poorly run and filthy compared to the others.

Lots of food, and not that bad either. You get a lot for your money! They are open late and have a huge menu. Not somewhere you would go with a date feeling fancy and schmancy, but when you are ready to throw down on some nachos or fajitas… you know. Patio is cool too.

I called in an order of breakfast tacos for work. It took three tries to place my order. First time it just rang. Second time: I got an answer but was greeted with a «what» and was placed on hold for five minutes before I hung up. Lastly: I called and was greeted with a «yes, what do you want?» I placed my order. The food is actually pretty good but at least be great full that your getting my business. This is Houston and there are thousands of restaurants that serve tacos.

For the price, I don’t see what’s wrong with coming here. It’s not a upscale restaurant so of course not going to be squeaky clean. But the portions here are huge! And prices are very good for portion. I love love love their sauce bar. So many original sauces that I could barely decide my favorites. If have a group, definitely should try their monster nachos!

Pros: I like their breakfast tacos. Especially with the creamy cilantro sauce and extra pico. I don’t really enjoy their lunch and dinner options. Back to breakfast, fresh squeeze orange juice is amazing. Great price. Takes credit cards. Lots if parking. Fast to go service. Serves alcohol. Cons: the other patrons. Sticky floors. Dim lighting. Bad neighborhood.

The food here is good, but the establishment itself is unsanitary. All workers seem to clean every morning, before customers trek in. This morning particular after I had breakfast with my mom. I saw a worker dust the walls down with a duster near the condiments and sauces area. He wasn’t even aware of the dust particles floating in the air. The lady behind the counter preparing the torillas coughed as the dust floated near her. She didn’t cough on herself or turn away; she coughed onto premade torillas. It was terribly gross. This location Chacho’s is unappealing, in the mini lobby area before you enter in it has a distinctive odor to it. You almost have hold your breath and quickly rush in. I personally cannot stand in that area for a long period of time, before gagging. I’m not sure it could be that my olfactory nerve is rewired wrong. The atmosphere of this place is so off. It has broken, mismatched seating where there is caked crust on the tables to a wobbly unstable chair. A major renovation needs to take place. The food is reasonably priced and taste super good. I come for breakfast and order breakfast tacos or a breakfast plate. But how would the food taste good and the place is unkept?

Ok let’s be realistic, I’m not coming here expecting 4 star restaurant quality and service — it’s just not what you come to Chacho’s for! There is a parking lot out front and even a drive-thru! The balcony area is huge and the inside is a good size. It is not clean clean but it’s not gross and disgusting like some of the reviews say. So why do people come here?! The margaritas! You can get some bang for your buck here. The large size frozen margaritas are $ 7.50 with a good amount of liquor in it. You can get sloshed with a few of these. That says a lot compared to other places that are more expensive and it’s just mix. You can mix and match your flavors — I personally like the top shelf and strawberry. But they have 1800, cognac and coke, hypnorita, etc and 3 different size glasses. And now for food — they have a salsa bar with various types — even a fresh tomato and one with manga. I think they’re good for what you’re paying — the small nachos, you can choose the meat and cheese, is huge! The large one can serve like 10 – 15! The chicken and black beans nachos are pretty good as well.

Me like Chacho’s because the food is cheap and very affordable for a college student like myself. The breakfast tacos are yummy. I haven’t tried everything else on the menu, though I don’t think it will disappoint me. The beignets on the other hand are gross – seemed like it was a big piece of buttery bread dipped in a powered sugar paste. It wasn’t good at all. The restaurant was a little dirty, the menus are the grossest and that’s at any restaurant you go to. It holds the most bacteria. Remember that. Anyways, overall the experience was good.
