The food is good. Especially the snow crab is hughe and fresh. Remember to order extra gallic and some chicken wings. Will come back to this place soon enougn.

My review is mixed. This place is weird. It’s like the owner said one day, «Hey, I like eating at restaurants… I think I’ll STARTMYOWN!». Nothing makes traditional restaurant sense here. You can’t charge $ 7.95 for 6 ounces of seafood gumbo, and serve it in a styrofoam cup for someone dining in. The gumbo is good. Not stand-up-and-dance-nekkid good, but decent. I went when they were running an all-u-can-eat Crawfish special for $ 20.00. Let me tell you son, I made them live to regret it… Even if they bought their crawfish wholesale at $ 1 per pound, my goal in life was to make them lose money. I damn near would have succeeded, but they came up with some sudden, asinine, completely made-up rule that there was a 2 hour dine-in limit on the all-u-can-eat. Keep in mind, if you order 3lbs, they make you wait ATLEAST half an hour for the next 3lbs, and then a FULLHOURWAIT for the NEXT3lbs. Then, at the two hour mark, this little dancing smiling Asian man runs out from the kitchen, shaking his finger and claiming you hit this completely bogus«2 hour limit»… its like the Asian seafood version of Night at the Apollo, and YOU are the white guy singing country music! MAYBENEXTTIME, TEX! As far as the actual flavor of the crawfish, it is very Asian-Cajun fusion style. There was a place featured on Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives called Hot-N-Juicy Crawfish in Las Vegas. I actually ate there the last time in Vegas, at the urging of Douche Fieri. It was really good, and probably inspired the way that this place serves their bugs. They come in a plastic bag, in the broth. The broth consists of, what I can tell, cayenne, pineapple/orange juice, crab boil oil, Louisiana hot sauce, a FUQ-LOAD of ginger, and ice cream scoopers full of Chinese Garlic. It isn’t the American grown garlic, because it isn’t very strong, even in the mass quantities in which it is served. It is sour, sweet, tart, hot, spicy, and… oddly addictive. After 3lbs, I wanted nothing more than a LOAF of garlic bread to use to sop up the broth in the bottom of the bag. All in all, a good place to sit back with an old buddy over a few Shiners and eat some crawfish… as long as they aren’t crowded, and as long as you aren’t in a hurry to get bugs on your table. The sudden implementation of the«2 hour rule» really left a foul taste in my mouth, though. Then again, if I owned a restaurant that served all-u-can-eat crawfish and saw myself coming in my front doors, I wouldn’t be so generous as to make it a TWO hour limit… I’d kick my eating machine self out at 30 minutes to an hour, MAX!

I literally eat here allot, especially when I want a quick order of their wings. Today was my first issue. I ordered 4 orders of the 6 pc chicken wing with fries. On my first bite I noticed a weird taste. Granted I’m hungry and over looked it, because like I said never had a problem with them. My mom bit into her chicken and said the same thing. She literally took 2 bites and said don’t eat any more! We took it back and of course, they said the chicken was fresh as a matter of fact they got it in this morning. I understand that, but whom ever they got it from, sold them some bad chicken!!! Glad my little sis didn’t eat any. I should’ve made them eat it for themselves! This was an unpleasant experience. Don’t think I’ll be back. Again, it’s a good restaurant, but one bad run in for me is enough. They refunded the money, but I still need to find something to eat!!! To the management team… in the future, don’t give your customers the impression that their all lying trying to get over!!!

Visiting family in the neighborhood and got lost and stop here for lunch. Best decision ever. If you’re in the Jersey Village Area this is the place to be. At first glance its a renovated bank, the drive thru still there but once inside, its like a classy restaurant. Super clean, even the restroom cleaner than my house and looks a lot better. Anyways the food, the menu is quite small even though it covers both side of the paper. Majority of the food is fried leaving you full fast but empty like a Chinese Buffet. I ordered the crawfish, gumbo, and popcorn shrimp. The popcorn shrimp was very delightful, had a airy taste not like other places where its all batter. Its had a delicious light batter, that you couldnt stop and eat just one and I hate shrimp. The gumbo was on the weird side, it wasnt bad but it wasnt great gumbo either. My executive chef used to make fun of my gumbo, what’s the secret ingredient? Soy sauce? Here it had a nice flavor but on that borderline asian louisiana gumbo kinda way. The crawfish was unique, fresg and full of flavors, not your average crawfish. Be careful of the spice level, they havent gotten it perfected it yet. I eat very spicy but the I ordered the medium and ot was a little on the Hot to Spicy side. The sauce was full of garlic and a hint of tamarind lime zest very delicious but after a lb of it, it hits you like a hard rock. But you just can’t stop. The service was excellent, one of the best. This was my first time here. The guy server don’t know his name, a dark skin, short asian, was the best, he kept refilling my drink, in Houston on a hot day that’s a plus, eating spicy food that’s another plus. A smooth, funny talker, talking to guest at a personal level service that is hard to find these days. Wish most of restaurant I visited had this service like this. 5 stars for the service, give the food 4 stars. He even told me that more food will be added soon.

The first time I ate here with my wife last year I thought the food was ehhh ok but not great. Wife thought it crawfish was too bland. Fast forward to this week I decided to give it another try because I have a groupon for them. The flavor again was the same but what irks me was the process of the crawfish. I thought a lot of them were too spoiled. You can really taste and smell it when’s them bugs are dead… and there were quite a bit of them. Perhaps they got lazy in the cleaning process on picking out the good one. I do like the fact that it’s closer to where I live and their gumbo was ok.

I have been here about three times in the past two years. I was actually very happy to have found a little restaurant near home that served quality seafood at competitive prices. It’s been 15 years since I last had crawfish and about a month ago when I was in, the guys that run the restaurant informed me I should give their crawfish a try and that I won’t be disappointed. The they«hand pick» each crawfish and they are known around the area for service great sized crawfish. Well I returned last Sunday. Ordered 2 lbs of crab legs(server brought only 1 lb). Ordered 20 of their popular chicken wings for the kids(server failed to point out it would be spicy). Had to order 6 more wings so my daughter could eat something(they where quite raw and smelled yucky). Ordered 4 lbs of crawfish and only managed to eat 1 lb with my cousin. They were far too small for all the hard work. I simply gave up! Unfortunately I must say that I may never return. Three stars for the great & friendly service.

Great fried fish shrimp and oysters! We tried the crawfish also and they were pretty good. We added the garlic sauce which wasn’t my thing even though I love garlic. The garlic sauce made it to oily and to sweet. Other than that it’s seriously great fried seafood!

The crawfish wasn’t season at all. They asked me how hot and I stated that I wanted the hottest they had to offer… well they brought me small unseasoned crawfish And I ordered hush puppies yeah the outside said that they were done but when I bit into it, it was still frozen. I I’ll never recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing seafood! I have tried the craw-fish, catfish sandwich, grilled salmon, grilled tilapia and don’t even get me started on the fried rice! Nothing better than a cold bear with fresh craw-fish and crab legs!!!

It was just ok, the catfish platter was equivalent to a buffet at «the fish place». Lack of ambiance, bank turned into bar that has seafood. Took 40 minutes to get our food, which is fine if quality. Shrimp fried rice was dry, shrimp was whole but still opaque. Waitress was nice but carried straws in her back pocket instead of in an apron. Took a risk on a Groupon, had better luck elsewhere. Doubt they willl make it a year.

I’ve been coming here for many years and paid a visit today. The management has changed, therefore so has the crawfish(Kapow) and the whole ambience. The music is elevator boarder line funeral but the service is great. I will not return until the original crawfish recipe is back and the music is back to what it was.

The crawfish is awesome. But the service is so slow. Been here 3 times this year and all 3 times service sucked.

Found this place thru Groupon, decided to try it. It is a strip center restaurant, not fancy but clean with several TV’s for games. We started with a doz oysters on half shell and we very pleased and ordered a 2nd doz. Wife had 6 grill shrimp, they were nice size and grilled but not over cooked, which to many places tend to do. Speaking of over cooking, one thing I really like is fried oysters but too many places over cooked them to dry mass. After the half shell oysters, I tried the fried and was very pleased to bite into a nice juicy fried oyster. Bottom line we over-ate but will be back.

My friend found this place through groupon and we decided to give this place a try. Walking in, I noticed the clean interior and it resembled a sports bar. They have TV’s and a projector playing the sports channel. When my friend and I sat down, we were given our menus/drinks. Also, they serve beer and the menu offers a good selection of food items with reasonable prices. We ordered the following: Grilled salmon(5⁄5): The grilled salmon is served over fried rice with a side salad. I have to say the asian fried rice with grilled salmon went well together. The salad was fresh and it was a nice starter. Honey beef chicken wings(5⁄5): This was on the house and it was delicious! It was very flavorful and it had a hint of honey mustard and something else. I would definitely come back for more of these wings! Hushpuppies(4⁄5): Nice and crispy! I can’t say they were more or less special than other hush puppies i’ve had. Tilapia & Popcorn shrimp(5⁄5): I normally don’t like popcorn shrimp but the batter on these tiny shrimps were delicious! This was my friends entrée with tilapia but I kept stealing these from him! They were a little addicting. I had the chance to try the fried tilapia and the fish was nicely battered and fried. Catch of the day sauce(5⁄5): I gave this sauce the name«catch of the day sauce», since Anthony(Waiter/Co-owner) didn’t tell us the name of the sauce. This sauce resembled Raising canes sauce but with a little more flavor. It was close but different. This sauce went well with the fries and popcorn shrimp! As for the service, it was good but the only downside would be the wait time on the food. I have to say the food is worth the wait because it’s served hot and fresh. All in all, Catch of the day is a real catch! A true hidden gem for seafood lovers! I would recommend others to check this place out if in the area!

First time even being on this side of town, so I was excited to try their seafood. Glad I did, the young lady was so attentive and helped us choose some of the best fried shrimp, fries and rice I tasted at a round-the-way restaurant. More or less I will definitely return. Hopefully, the blonde-haired, smiley waitress is available all the time because because she ran the front like it was her own! Thanks to Groupon, another addictive seafood restaurant is on the map! I got: Fried shrimp with fries — two thumbs up. Shrimp fried rice — yum! Egg rolls were crispy, delicious! They do seem really new as this used to be an old bank, but the inside is super sports-y. TVs, happy hour Monday thru Friday and a bar. Def will want to join the weekday crowd next. :)

Came here the other day during lunch with my boyfriend because he likes the fried food here. I got the 6 piece shrimp with fries and hush puppies. Shrimps weren’t good. Boyfriend also thought his food tasted a bit different from our previous experience here. Their hush puppies come in 2 as a side, they’re hush puppies are OK. Fries are the best. Gumbo tasted more like a broth… so I wouldn’t recommend. Also we came here for a table of 2, but had flies flying around us to accompany us, which in my opinion is quite disgusting. I was told management has changed. I like the whole table service now, who am I kidding I hated the order at the register first deal. 1 star for that. Food wise: *old management tasted fresh and food came out a lot faster. *new management quality doesn’t taste the same anymore and comes out slower. I think they care more about the decorations than the quality of the food. 2 stars for effort. Lastly to mention they are constantly messing up our to-go orders. It is quite inconvient to find out I have a messed up order and having to call/come back etc.

Small family run place. Their crawfish is really, really, really, addicting and good! They currently have a special Tues-Thurs after 3pm for $ 5.99/lb, which imo is a pretty good deal for crawfish this season. I may have been lucky, but I’ve been getting large«baby lobster» sized crawfish in my sack and it. is. AWESOME. They’re also fresh, haven’t had a dead one in my bag. I’ve had the garlic butter & kapow flavor. Garlic butter is great, loaded with lots of garlic. Kapow is really unique flavor(spicy, tangy, sweet — all in one) and is addicting. Try it. It’s located in a shopping strip and the sign is kinda hard to catch so watch out for it.
