I’ve been here twice(because of coworkers wanting this place) and I have been dissatisfied each time. If it were up to me I would never eat here again. The food is just not good… neither is the selection of food. If you are craving café type food, do yourself a HUGE favor and just go to Jason’s Deli. It is FAR superior in taste, quality, and value!

I’m borderline obsessed with the roasted vegetable tart here. You get a salad with it. And it is delicious. It’s filling and perfect every time. Tons of goat cheese and artichokes the pastry is always sof and buttery. So good I’ve never had anything else here.

I had the BLT with Chicken Soup and it was great. My partner had Spicy Italian Pasta and he liked it. The overall experience was good but the cashier was awful.

Breakfast in between appointment. Ordered sausage classic. While the turkey sausage had a nice flavor they were tough. Couldn’t cut w/a fork!!! Subbed fruit for potatoes-good alternative. Sat against wall and strong smell of mold. Told manager about it couple months ago but I guess they don’t care. Others must have complained also. It’s very obvious. Guess management doesn’t care.

This location is always quick, clean and reliable! It’s a great place to go with a larger crowd because it’s self setting and the tables are easily moved. The menu variety also guarantees that everyone can find something to eat.

I am always looking for a café to get fresh salads and sandwiches. this place was huge and apparently have awesome brunch on the weekends. I was not impressed. The tuna had no seasoning or flavor at all. Just watery. and while the bread had panini press marks on it, the sandwich was not hot?.. Still don’t quite know what to make of that. The salad was no better than the bag, pre washed stuff from the store. Not crisp. Turkey chili was very good though. I’ll try one of the recommendations next time.

The salads are great and I love the condiment bar they have where you can add everything from olives to pickles to cheese and exotic mustards/sauces. The french fries are also delicious, extra crispy and well worth the«fried» aspect. I have tried three sandwiches from the menu and they are good, nothing spectacular, the chicken has proved to be better than the burgers. I got the fettuccine Alfredo this past weekend and a side Caesar salad. I ate three bites of the pasta trying to force it down to just get something in my stomach. It was bland, the noodles were overcooked, and instead of crumbling walnuts over the top they just put 4 walnut halves so you’re just biting into a huge nut. Alfredo is literally my bf’s favorite dish in the world and he even he wouldn’t eat it if that tells you anything. The Caesar salad was just as bland but after visiting the condiment bar I finished it — considering it was the only thing worth eating and my only alternative was to order something else… Used to love this place but think there’s way too many restaurants out there that I know deliver on quality food to go back here for awhile.

Salad for lunch once… nothing memorable… and breakfast sandwich once… Nothing special… nice atmosphere… but in all honesty, you may as well eat at Dennys. They do not do any eggs other than scrambled, which makes me think its powdered eggs or something frozen… the wheat toast was good tho… not the cheap kind… it was a good thick hearty pc of toast. I may go back again, if invited, but would not be my first choice.

Did you know they are opened for breakfast? No? It doesn’t seem a lot of people know that either when I have breakfast here. Every Thursday, I have breakfast with my friend and Café Express is in our rotation. I have a like/hate with CE. My likes: 1. The breakfast kid’s meal fill me up. They have two options. The French toast comes with a cup of fruit and drink. For about $ 4, it’s not too bad. You get a good sugar high for a few hours. The other option is scrambled eggs, hashed brown or bacon, fruit, and a drink. I actually like a little watery scrambled eggs. Reminds me of my college days! 2. Service is great. They never say anything about how we order from the kid’s menu. They have always upgraded our drinks to the adult size rather than the small sippy cups. 3. Love the bread sticks. Grab a few and munch on. 4. There is hardly anyone there before 8. Very quick service. Makes sense if you’re usually the only one there. My dislikes: 1. The fruit selection is horrible. I always pick at my fruit cup to find something that doesn’t smell like it’s rotting. It’s always a blend of pineapple, soggy grapes, rotting pear, and bland watermelon. 2. I do not find their lunch/dinner options appealing or good. It is very basic, bland food that is not consistent every time I come. 3. Service during breakfast is good. On the other hand, during lunch, that’s a different story. Food is slower and smiles are hardly seen. 4. My workplace has done a group takeout, and they’ve managed to screw up the order each time. I don’t trust them with large group orders. In the last couples of time, we’ve gone without soup, chips, drinks, and even a full meal. Get with it! There’s nothing spectacular about CE, but it’s a decent spot if you’re looking for something«regular» to eat. Every now and then, they update their menu, but it usually doesn’t pan out. FYI… if you sign up with CE, they will occasionally send out coupons for B1G1.

Turkey burger I’m very disappointed. The turkey patty reminded me of chicken sandwiches from middle school lunches. It was obviously not freshly made(looked like it came out of a factory).
I’ve also tried the vegetable tart with goat cheese, the vegetables are pretty meh and bleh but the tart/crust was nice and flaky. The pastas aren’t too bad, except the capri’s sauce tastes like peppery digorno pizza sauce. Milanese pasta has tender grilled chicken, I asked for it without peas once and they said that it wasn’t possible…
Shrimp and avocado salad was good. Their cobb salad looks delicious too. I find this place pricey.

I like that Café Express makes an attempt to be a healthier restaurant and it really is reasonable priced for what you are getting. They offer sweet potato fries which are delicious the also have some really amazing salads on their menu. I usually just get some pasta with a side salad with their vinaigrette and I pretty much always ending taking the pasta home with me because the salad is so large and thats all for about $ 10.
