Love this library! Staff is super friendly and helpful. I love perusing the aisles looking for new reads — I miss the old days! Wish libraries were more packed! Two issues though — WHY be closed on Sundays? That’s a perfect day for people to go to the Library! Be closed on a Monday or Friday — who goes to the library on a Friday? 2. Why is there no drive up book drop off? Would make sense to have it closer to the drive up entrance.

This is a fairly new library than Parker Williams(not saying Parker Williams library isn’t great) and it has a lot to offer. This also is a Houston Public library apart of the Houston public library systems. It was built about 3 years before and it looks really modern on the inside. The library card for this library isn’t the same as the Harris County library card, this one is different and it can be used at any library in greater Houston though not at Parker Williams(even though it is in Houston). So, confusing right?! I know. This library is smaller than what I know at Parker Williams and it is divided up by a children section, adult, and small study area. Here, you have to use your library card number to access a computer(same as the library in Clinton, MS) and you have to reserve a computer for yourself. But, you have to walk to a different station to do that, instead of doing it on the computer. They do accept San Jac printing cards here too. They offer the usual classes for children like storytime, and they have free computer classes. They have self checkout in which you use your 4 digit security code and library card number to checkout if the desk it too overcrowded. I thought that was pretty cool. Parking is decent: Close to the building, so no long walking Front parking is for employers only Side parking is for visitors They have only 2 fuel efficient parking spots in the front beside the handicapped parking The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the library was small and really no area to study with children carrying on. That can get a bit rowdy. Plus, since its a library apart of Houston more regulations and limitations, so not exactly a free will.
