I love this place! The food is great! The pizza is great! The staff is great! What I love the most is how they can make such amazing food– love the sausage appetizer, and the burrata– OMG! The double pork chop and arugula salad is the best! All in an upscale neighborhood without the fuss.

Worst pizza ever! Not even sure if their wood-fired oven was on. Not impressed. Too bad, it is located in a great neighborhood location. I would maybe try the salad, not sure if they could screw that up.

Love love love Bollo. Had a little date night with my S. O, we didn’t have reservations and when we arrived they were busy, but we found two seats at the bar right away. The bartender was very nice and attentive. We started with the Black truffle burrata and the arugula salad. Oh my so dangerous, I could eat that salad everyday! Then we ordered two, yes two pizzas, the Diavola and Cotto Funghi. Both were über delicious. Overall a great experience and will be going back asap!

Pizza was good. arugula salad was amazing! Garlic fries were the closest to legit garlic fries I can find in Houston which is a big deal for me. Pizza was good but dough could be crispier. Flavor was great tho. Service was amazing which is another big deal for me. Calamari was also good.

Bollo has such a wide variety of food to satisfy basically any craving. Another plus about Bollo is that they deliver… with a nice fee of course! We picked up to go here on a fairly busy Friday evening and everything was prepared in a timely manner as promised. The to go service is great and accommodating. They even have 2 whole parking spaces for pick up orders. We had the carne trio pizza which comes with prosciutto, sausage, and pepperoni. If you’re like me and need a little veggie on your pizza to feel healthy then you’ll be paying a few bucks for add ons. We added basil and mushrooms. Pizza came out to be $ 18 after add ons. It was alright. the cheese sort of got hard and slid right off the bread. We also had the meatballs which were quite delicious and something I’d order again. The lamb shank served on a bed of potatoes was alright. The lamb was very tender and lacked a lot of flavor, but the potatoes were out of this world delicious. Food + tip came out to be about $ 50. Overall, I don’t think i’ll be dining at Bollo in the future.

This is my second time here and it’s so good! I love pizza and Bollo definitely lived up to my expectations! Just passed it randomly one day and thought this place looks cute so I did later and amazing! Happy hour is awesome too! If your looking for a place to let loose after work and have delicious food then I highly recommend this place!

Another great experience! They really do have some of the best calamari in town! Last night we had the pepperoni calzone and it was perfection! The meat, the cheese, the bread — just a wonderful dinner. The staff has always been super nice. It is a very comfortable place to enjoy a dinner and conversation with someone over dinner and wine.

Oh I’m sad. The pizza dough has changed since my last visit. What happened to that light fluffy crust with dark bubbles? I’m very happy to see the red pepper oil for dipping but my crust… what happened? I’ve attached my pics — check the crust on mine compared to folks who’ve posted a few months ago. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very good pizza — but I longed for the pizza I had on my 1st visit here. :-(

Found you! This replaces Pizaro as my favorite pizza place in Houston. Pizaro still has an awesome truffle and mushroom white pizza; I’ve only had the margherita at Bollo, but add an egg as Napolitans do, and Bollo is a clear win.

Great neighborhood spot with a family feel. Always great service and food is consistently tasty as well. Usually we’ll get salads and then our go-to Carne Trio pizza and we’ll add spinach and mushrooms(yum!). Pizza is plenty for two to share. Oh yeah and don’t forget a $ 5 signature cocktail. Love the Frozen Bellinis after a long day.

I live dangerously close to Bollo… so I’ve become obsessed! The have a decent sized menu with lots of options. I have only tried the pizzas and have never ever been disappointed. They are so delicious and amazing the next day(we always order too much and have left overs!). The one thing you must try before pizza is the garlic fries with truffle salt and the aoli sauce on the side. They are similar to the fries at Hopdoddys in Austin but are not as good!!! Still amazing! Drinks they have frozen Drinks specials everyday always $ 5 #winning ! The Carne Trio is my favorite pizza(so far). It’s perfectly spicy and delicious.

This place was pretty great. I came strictly for the burrata as it’s not so easy to find in Houston. They offer a black truffle burrata and it was really good. My only issue was that the«crostini» accompanying it was thick slices of a baguette. Which were delicious with a garlic/butter/herb spread, but too thick to put the cheese on and still take a bite with any kind of lady manners. Had I been on a date or business meeting I would have had to eat them separately. Luckily I was with my best girl friends, so I just shoved it on in my trap as neanderthalish as it sounds. Then we ordered the pancetta pizza. Again, exceptional pizza! The sauce was so light and fresh, the crust was perfect and the toppings were plenty. I highly recommend this menu choice. I had a glass of Cab to accompany it and since it was my friend’s birthday, they brought out a complimentary slice of tiramisu! It was good but I assume they used the traditional recipe and added the brandy because it was a bit heavy on the liquor flavor. Not that I usually mind liquor in any capacity, I just wasn’t expecting it in my dessert. . Around 9pm our waiter changed. They were pretty flawless about it, but with us being the only people on the patio for the majority of the evening I felt a bit cast aside, service-wise. Though the service wasn’t bad, at all, they both quite attentive and nice. I’ll go back, for sure.

Friends came into town and we decided to try somewhere we’ve never been. So decided why not Bollo. The reviews were great. We made reservations for 7:45. The parking lot is ok sized and we didn’t have to fight for a spot. The inside of the restaurant was cozy for sure. Good amount of people. They’ve been open for 8 months and doing a good job. The food was great. We tried various appetizers including the chicken wings, hummus, lobster ravioli, shrimp snd fried calamari. All of them were excellent. We had the frozen drink of the day and bellinis. They were $ 5 and awesome. The ladies had salads they loved and the guys hit up the good baked pizzas. Very good. The kitchen got backed up due to the to go orders so the salads came out 10 minutes before our pizzas. So made an awkward moment because the ladies wanted to be polite and wait until our food arrived to eat. Also before we even got to look at menus we were asked what drinks we wanted so that was off putting. The last thing that made this experience 4 stars instead of 5 are the damn coasters. This restaurant is pretty nice and the coasters are these bud light, etc so it’s the first thing you notice. They belong is a bar not this joint. My friend who came is a classical trained chef and restaurant manager and the issue with service and coasters are what we all agreed on. The food was spot on. I would go back for sure.

While the pizza is delicious and the prices for the sangria and blood orange margaritas are decent, I recent the fact that a whopping 20 percent tip was added to our bill of six people. I find 20 percent excessive. Service was good. I understand that tips are added sometimes for parties of six or more. But the standard is 15 percent and it should be up to the diners to give more than 15 percent. Also, the slice of chocolate cake was too cold. It’s almost like they’re bought frozen and made to thaw in the fridge. I understand if they don’t make the desserts there. Their specialty is pizza. Does one have a choice to leave less than 20 percent when it’s added on the bill? I hope one does.

I can never get enough of good pizza, so when I saw that Bollo was opening around the corner from my work, I immediately put it on my list. The restaurant wasn’t crowded at all around lunchtime — We popped in around 12:30 and were out in a reasonable amount of time. Got a caesar salad and their Carne Trio pizza… if you’re a meat lover, GETTHIS! The combination of pepperoni, proscuitto, and spicy sausage is ah-mazing. Their sauce is pretty magical too. I’d be down to try one of their olive oil«white» pizzas next time, but I went with a traditional red sauce pizza this time around. Not cheap, but I felt their prices were reasonable for good quality, thin stone-fired pizza. Mine was about $ 13 for the 12-inch and I really enjoyed it. I’m a hungry hippo(all the time), so I ordered the 12 inch for myself. Not terrible for a good lunch — I’d go back to try something else out. Taste reminds me of Dolce Vita for a lower price value!

I feel like I’m doing a pizza tour in Houston since there seem to be new places popping up regularly. Bollo is yet another place to add to the list of tasty pizzerias here. Their pizzas are 12″, and separated on the menu into red(tomato sauce) or white(olive oil) pizzas. I’m normally a fan of white pizza, but decided to try the Diavola… red sauce, spicy salami, arugula, buffalo mozz, red pepper flakes, and I subbed fresh garlic for roasted red peppers – don’t care for their sweetness. It was really delicious! One pizza was enough to feed two. The crust is pretty thin and(for lack of a better word) floppy in the middle, but nice and chewy on the outside. I loved the salami they used too. It was a $ 14 pizza, but for taste, amount, and quality of ingredients, it seemed pretty reasonable. However, if you go crazy with the added ingredients, cost could build up fast. Next time I’d wanna try out their lobster ravioli and $ 5 bellinis, as they both looked delicious.

Great authentic Italian(thin) pizza, very similar to Piola and Dolce Vita. If you are expecting American type pizzas(i.e. thick and with lots of ingredients) this may not be the place for you. However, if a thin pizza with few simple ingredients is you, then definitely give Bollo a try.

I love that this place has plenty of parking, it takes reservations, and they’re super quick! Had a nice table for 7 in the back. The restaurant is clean and the prices are pretty decent! They had $ 5 frozen margaritas and bellinis. Good wine selection. The lobster ravioli with the truffle cream sauce is amazing! Get them! Except they are a small dish and only comes with two. I wish the serving size is larger for the price. The caprese was good. I wish it was cold but there was a good decent amount of mozzarella and the balsamic was sweet. Did not enjoy the Caesar salad though. Seems like they just opened a bag of the store mix. Also not cold or crispy. The pizzas were all amazing! 12″ size for a good price. The crust was good. Not too thin and not overly thick. The flavors on all the pies were great. We definitely had no complaints for the 5 different pizzas we ordered. I personally tried the bianco and it was delicious and creamy. I ordered the arugalo with the arugula, prosciutto, truffle oil, goat cheese but I replaced the goat cheese with garlic. Yummy flavors, amazing crust, just wish the prosciutto wasn’t so salty but that’s expected. The pistachio gelato is also amazing! Wasn’t a fan of the tiramisu though. Nothing too special about it. Would definitely come back here! P. S. They also charged 20% gratuity for a large party — though isn’t it illegal to pre-charge gratuity in the state of TX now?!

Bollo might not quite have the very best Neopolitan-style pizza in Houston, but the pies cooked in a VPN-certified oven are still incredibly tasty, and the prices are more reasonable than its competitors. In addition, its happy hour and service are top-notch. $ 19 for a Neopolitan-style pizza plus a pitcher of beer or bottle of wine during happy hour is an outstanding deal. While the happy hour deal is typically only offered in the bar area, we were allowed to dine at a table, and we were offered a delicious complimentary burrata appetizer for our first visit. We were allowed to choose either the white or red pizza(bianco de bollo vs. bollo classico) topped with either cubed prosciutto or a vegetable. We went with the bianco classico with prosciutto, and ended up I eating a few slices more than I should’ve. The mozzarella and sauce were very good, the crust was nice and thin in the middle, and the prosciutto added a lovely saltiness. The beer, appetizer, and pizza ended up being more than two people could consume. Service was incredibly attentive and friendly.

I have not Unilocaled in quite a while, but after a meal and experience THIS good, I had to share my joy. I have heard only good things about this place, and everyone was totally right in their praise. The atmosphere — casual but elegant, sleek and clean. The service — excellent, attentive, not pushy and accommodating. The food — incredible! quality ingredients, fine details, exceptional flavors. We had from the small plates: the warm beets with ricotta — 5 star dish kale and shaved Parmesan and garbanzo beans — 5 star sausage with crostini — 5 star the marinara sauce — 10 stars!!! the best! Pizza: margarita pizza — 5 star — amazzzzzzzzing. seriously. Even my cappucino at the end was perfection, overall this place is now our favorite in the Italian/Pizza genre. even better than Dolce Vita, our favorite of years and Coltivare. these are just my opinions and I’m pleased to share. cheers!
