Decent boba and coffee place on the more Vietnamese side of Bellaire. Smack dab in the center of Saigon Houston Plaza by the Kim Son, with ample parking space, although the even the large lot can be filled up during peak hours. They offer a large selection of teas, milk teas, hot and cold coffees, just to name a few, and even do Vietnamese sandwiches. I consider the Vietnamese side of Bellaire somewhat deficient in good drink stops, so Boba Zone stands out to me. The milk teas are decent, though I still prefer Kung Fu Tea over it, and their sandwiches are not the level of say, Les Givral’s in midtown, but they can hold their own just fine. They also have seasonal items, especially now during the summer that are quite refreshing. Classics like mangonadas(they call it a spicy mango) and piña coladas(non-alcoholic) are always good to combat the Houston summer heat waves. All in all a solid joint that does all the basics-drinks, food, and a little rest from the Houston sun.

Lettuce begin. I’m from Maryland and the drink I got was so different. I never even been to a bubble tea drive thru. Even though the wait was long, it was worth it. When I was there, I got the artichoke flavored ice tea with coffee jelly. At first I thought it was a weird combination, but it taste good surprisingly. I would recommend! Like its a drive thru for bubble tea!!! Peace Out Girl Scouts.

Their drinks are quite good, first time getting a spicy mango drink anywhere but it’s delicious, the flavor is at sounds. I also got a artichoke drink and that one was good as well. It comes with grass jelly and basil seeds. All drinks can be added with your choice of toppings that include jellies and«pops». It was really busy but they made the drinks in a timely manner

The rating is more of a 3.8. It’d be an easy 4 or 5 if not for their boba and milk teas. Drinks(3⁄5). It’s a shame because their Royal Artichoke Tea is killer. However, their tea-to-milk(or cream) ratio is off. Lacks tea and thus too much dairy. Oolong teas are known and loved for the distinctive aroma and taste; Boba Zone lacks both completely in their Oolong milk tea. Same could be said for any of their milk teas, which is odd because when they were located at their old store(currently now Hang Out), I remembered them for their milk teas. Maybe now they’re skimping and trying to reduce costs? Anyway, great menu. Smoothies, coffee, flavored teas, and decent food. Service(5⁄5). No complaints here. They’re fast with their orders and are polite. Obviously the drive thru is genius; probably go here more often than any other place just because I don’t need to leave my car for a drink. Overall, give it a try. Maybe you’ll have a different experience than me. It’s not bad, just would like better boba(not hard and more tender) and tea flavor.

I don’t really think Boba Zone is that great. It used to be… but the last time I came here, their boba was still kind of off. I’ve had much better like at Sharetea. Really the only thing they have going for them is their convenient drive thru. I think that’s probably the only time I will go here… oh and maybe to cash in my free drink from my stamp cards. Other than that… there are better options out there.

I used to love this place couple years ago, but this year I felt like they have gone downhill a bit. Either they have so many good competitors or the drinks aren’t taste good anymore. Recently, I ordered all of my favorite drinks(blended cappuccino, jasmine milk tea, iced ginger milk tea, royal milk tea.) but none of them tasted as good as before.

I’m a fan, yet not a fan of their avocado drink. I literally got traumatized by the thickness of that drink. I felt like I just ate a buffet half way through the drink! That’s quality.

The last time I came here was when I was in high school(at least over three years ago) when this was still in the little corner of the Kim Son plaza next to Chez Beignets, and I hated it. Finally came back to give this newly updated location a try. Ordered a royal milk tea, and I really liked it! Way better than my first experience(lots of ice, tasted like water down milk – yuck). Creamy and(a little too) sweet, but a nice flavor. My only con, I guess, was that I asked if I could add boba to my drink after I had already paid since the boba was free. At first she said it was okay, but then she said they couldn’t because she had already put in the order. Which leads me to question as to why they can’t just grab my drink and write«(+ bubbles)» or something? Not trying to be complicated, but I feel that most places would be willing to go through the extra 2 second trouble to satisfy the customer. Well, I don’t know. I’m just glad I can finally say this place is good.

They should change the name of this place to Boomin’ Boba because business is always boomin’.

I said no ice please! Then the employe fill in 2⁄3 of milk tea in my cup. I used to work in a milk tea shop, and never hear this rule :) Never see this action in any milk tea shop before :) Is my first time visit boba zone, but I think I won’t go there anymore :) I don’t like the employe’s action to my milk tea. My milk tea shop boss taught me foil up the whole cup of milk tea for customer. I really disappoint to y’all :)) I promise I didn’t drink this milk tea before I take the picture.

I’ve been here several times with my cousin but this was my first time getting a drink. I got the iced vanilla latte and it was super sweet. I barely tasted any coffee. Next time when I go back I’ll have to give their boba drinks a try to see if they can redeem themselves. I expect it to be better than the coffee drinks since this place is always packed when I go. I guess for the price, it’s worth it since it’s cheaper than other boba places in Chinatown.

I always go here for my special artichoke drink. It’s my fav. But just recently they r serving mangonada aka spicy mango. It is ok. Not your authentic Mexican mangonada. It needs to be more chamoy to make it more sour and less sweet. I probably won’t buy their spicy mangos but definitely love their artichoke drink

I come here a bit often(I do a bit of a rotation with the popular tapioca places in China Town). What is pretty unique about this tapioca place, is that it has a drive thru. The regular teas with no sugar are pretty bitter. So it depends on your preference. You can adjust the percentage of sugar you want in your drinks(ex 100%, 60%, or even 0%). They do increments of 10%. WHAT I ORDERED: Got their chicken fettuccine. Straight up chicken fettuccine with a garnish of basil leaves, which did compliment it well. It was delicious for the price. It was my first time ordering this dish and I was taken back with how flavorful it was. Also got their royal artichoke drink for like the 10473rd time. It’s too sweet for me at the regular sweetness level so I did 0% sweet. It’s a pretty solid drink to order, especially if you can’t make up for your mind. It’s pretty refreshing and light.

This is a good tapioca spot on Bellaire, it is the most convenient; has a drive thru! My boyfriend is really picky but likes the coffee here. Their milk tea and Thai tea is really good here. Popcorn chicken is also a great treat; they have baked goods as well. Cool place to sit and chill as well; has outdoor seating and wifi, sit back, relax & enjoy your view of Bellaire! :) while sipping on delicious tapioca.

Their drinks are too sweet for me, well everyone taste are different so maybe someone else might like it. I think their pasta dishes are pretty good for a drink place. I tried many different Italian places and not many can make Alfredo decent. Usually it’s too creamy or not creamy enough. Yet boba zone has surprised me with their pasta. It was perfect, but it taste better with just shrimp, the chicken wasn’t too good. It was dry and has no season. The price range for their pasta is good and the portion is big too. One order can fill on up, and it only cost about $ 7 while at an Italian restaurant, a dish could cost about $ 17 for the same thing. I think it’s a good deal. Their fried chicken and calamari are decent too and affordable. I think most of their food are better than their drinks. The place is usually pack at all time, from young to old people. But they work pretty fast when you order.

Super super super packed. Super super super packed. Why? Probably because of location. Probably because there’s a drive thru. Probably because there’s a ton of chairs. Definitely not because this is the best bubble tea/milk tea place in the area. Because it’s so busy, they take a while to push out the drinks. It’s ok though… Because you can scout for a table while you wait! Yeah… It’s that bad. On the bright side. You can use card, the drinks are pretty big, and you can choose your sweetness level. So… I’ve told you the pros and cons. Choose at your own discretion.

I’ve definitely drove by this place so many times, but I never thought of trying it out because there are plenty of places around Bellaire that I know serve great drinks and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to take the chance of trying out this place. especially when I haven’t heard positive things come from here. JASMINEMILKTEA This drink was so sweet I could only take a few sips and even when it watered down I couldn’t drink it. I tasted the jasmine and it had a floral taste, but it was just too sweet and creamy. I just couldn’t bring myself to drink anymore and threw it away without finishing it. There was nothing memorable about this place only that it was horrible and I won’t be coming back again. The drink wasn’t great and the service was ehh. back to the usual places.

I always enjoy coming here for milk tea when I’m in the area. The only thing that sucks is the chinatown traffic in that corner, but let’s be honest, that’s to be expected. My favorite is getting the avocado smoothie because it’s so smooth and creamy and refreshing.(I also add the mixed fruit jelly with it). The milk tea is pretty standard too, but what I really enjoy is that they let you choose how much sugar you can put in it. However, if you don’t like your drinks too sweet, I would say no sugar because I asked for half the sugar, and I think it’s still ridiculously sweet. The wait is kind of long, depending on what time and how crowded the place is. I think that they could speed it up, if I’m being honest. Other places have less workers and can make the drinks faster. Service: the workers are nice enough, and the cool thing is that they do have the sticker things to make sure they have your drink right. They also have a drive through which is pretty cool, but I personally haven’t used it yet. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is pretty chill, you can actually study there if you wanted. Most people go just to hang out though because there are tables available and while it may not be a lot of space, there’s enough people coming in and out that tables will free up. There’s a good amount of parking because there’s a whole shopping strip there, but you may have to walk a bit in the Houston heat if you’re not lucky enough to get a close parking spot. Overall, great place to get drinks, but don’t go if you’re in a rush. I probably wouldn’t get the food because it does take forever to make, and it’s very mediocre. I wouldn’t waste my money on it. Don’t forget your punch cards!
