Baccarat

This review is not based on the quality of the products– the products Baccarat sells are always impeccable, but on the poor service I received when I visited their Houston Galleria store today. I went in to buy a Christmas gift for a party hostess. I explained the situation to the associate and she helped me choose a gift but then did not give me a gift receipt. I noticed that and asked for a gift receipt on the spot, but the associate said that it was too late and that the recipient would not need a gift receipt to return it. What an inconvenience. I have shopped at Baccarat in three different countries and have never had such poor service.

If you ever want to splurge and spoil someone (maybe yourself?), Baccarat is a great place to start.
They have a new store in the Galleria which is gorgeous. The location is great (near the middle of everything) and the layout is nice and spacious. They have some great lighting to really show off how exquisite the crystal is – gorgeous. They are famous for their vases, but you may actually find some jewelry that you like (mostly gold, but they do carry a few silver and platinum pieces).
The best reason to buy some Baccarat? To really suck up to someone – think a great wedding gift for your boss’s daughter. That’ll definitely get their attention and raise some eyebrows about your generosity.
Caveat: I would not recommend investing too much money here if you have rambunctious children or pets. Or if you’re a klutz like I am.
