Don’t do it! Anywhere else but here. A cake was ordered for an event and it was delivered 4 hours later. To make matters worse, it wasn’t even the cake that was ordered! They dropped the cake and brought something else. Never going back!

I’ve been going to this place since I was a kid. I was surprised at how they have such few reviews. This place is almost always packed! I love their pan dulce and especially love their bollios. When I go out of town to visit family in Austin and San Antonio, they ask me to bring pan dulce from Arandas. I’ve been to several other bakeries in Houston but I find myself always comparing them to Arandas and they do not stack up. I’m not a tres leches fan in general but there have been several occasions where we’ve bought tres leches cakes from here and everyone loves them. The 1 reason I don’t give them a full 5 stars is because I’m not a fan of their flan and chocoflan. Other than that, I love this place.

Don’t order a cake from here what you see is not what you get. I order a Frozen cake here for my niece and told the lady I want it just as the display– we agreed– and it was done not in detail as the display. Anyone who has a party from a wedding, graduation, baby shower for the most part want there cake to be as described and when not delivered as told is a high disappointment and especially when you pay in full upfront. I spoke to the manager and her said he doesn’t know why they don’t do those details anymore… Then why have it on display? Other then the cake the ban is good! Customer service sucks. So unprofessional and un-accommodating to paying customers! Tis tis!

The manager was unhelpful wouldn’t answer my questions, would walk away after I asked why cake couldn’t be made the way I wanted, the employee had to answer for him that the baker didn’t know how to bake a cake that way when other arandas have done the same cake requested. The cake was bland, no taste couldn’t add extra flavor because baker couldn’t do that. The cake was falling apart was definitely not worth $ 240. Take your business elsewhere where they take pride in their work and will try to accommodate what the customer wants. Also staff is very rude not getting my business again I recommend the one off 59 where the bakers are better taught and do take pride in their work!

Mediocre. As much as I want to like the pastries here I can’t! The chocoflan is tasteless. I don’t taste any chocolate or flan. It’s bread with food coloring.

I stop by here on occasion and there are walls and walls of Mexican Pasteries. today though I think I got and ate mold from one of the pastries. I do always wonder how they make so many fresh pastries in the morning. I think some of them are old. I don’t feel well. the only reason they aren’t getting 1 star is because I will be back after I feel better because I love those flavorless cookies with the sprinkles!

The morning I left for San Francisco, my friends dropped by with a bag of fresh pastries from Arandas and they were almost enough to make me skip my flight. I love their churros, pineapple empanadas, and palmiers(or orejas) I admit, I am a greedy pig when it comes to Arandas goodies. I once inhaled two huge cookies on the drive home. My girlfriend was shocked and told everyone I ate all the food. In my defense, there were still a few left!
