Best coffee place downtown and the staff is always friendly and even remembers my orders. Whether you know her as Elizabeth, Lee or E-beth, the barista has a welcoming and sunny disposition and the coffee is a great alternative to Starbucks bitter brew.

Ash is an amazing Barista at this place and with a razor sharp memory for customer preferences. I was out of town for two weeks and went back to Amelle’s for my daily latte and she remembered the two syrups and number of pumps I take in my latte. That’s impressive!

Love this place. They took the time to remember what I order and have it ready by the time I get to the front of the lone to pay.

The Mayan mocha is delicious, so is the pistachio muffin. They have good happy hour specials. Definitely worth going to, and what a nice change from all the Starbucks downtown.

Good price during happy hour. Love their frappucino and banana bread. I always use my frequent card when I purchase outside of happy hour.

My review of this Coffee Bar location is virtually the same as my review of the 1600 Smith location. The only major difference here is that the employees at the Continental location, while nice, friendly and hardworking, seem to have a higher turnover rate than at Smith. Coffee Bar recently underwent a bit of a make-under. Coffee Bar(serving Seattle’s Best) was awesome and absolutely deserving of a 5-star review. Coffee Bar offered various«levels»(1 – 5) of Seattle’s Best coffee, ranging from lightest to darkest, and excellent selection of flavored coffees, my favorite being the vanilla & hazelnut flavors. I would stop here every day on my walk from the parking garage to my office for a café au lait and would be greeted with a smile from the baristas. Coffee Bar is now Amille’s, which has switched from Seattle’s Best to Java Pura coffee(locally-sourced in Houston), and now carries organic milk from grass-fed, free-range cows. I love a good artisan roaster and local business, but the Java Pura coffee is just not as good despite the claims that it is fresh-roasted weekly, and the taste is more acidic/bitter(similar to Starbucks) than I’d come to appreciate from Seattle’s. Alternatively, grass-fed beef upsets my stomach, as does milk from the cows who consume it, so now I have to be careful when ordering my usual café au lait from here. One upside is that the food/pastry options seem to have improved some with more variety(muffins, bagels, mini quiches, kolaches, yogurt parfaits, cookies, etc.) so that is definitely a plus. The spinach/turkey roll is a real winner.

NOV2013 — Unweit des Hotels mitten in Downtown eine Anlaufadresse für heißen Kaffee & Co. Freundliches Personal und unkomplizierten Umgang mit den Gästen. Gern bei den Businessleuten besucht.

I love this place. I’ve tried a couple of different coffees but I love Seattle the best.
