Corner Cafe Bar and Grill

First time here. A close friend of mine recommended. Prime rib is on the menu on Saturday’s. Its a homely looking place. But don’t let that fool you the customer service is great.

I have given this place a few tries and the pie was way expensive and I was not empresses with it the apples were mushy tall crust but mostly hallow the chilly was under cooked beans were crunchy so the two chilly burgers were horrible. The next time I thought I go with some thing safe and got the chicken sandwich it was so hot it burned my mouth and the tots were cold and the milkshake did not have any flavor as the time before I gotten a diet soda waited for ever for refills and had funny flavor like the soda lines had not been cleaned so disappointing considering how much the checks were

Four of us went on a Saturday evening. Sometimes, it’s nice to get out of Boise for a dinner away. We were shocked when we got there as there was not a single car in the parking lot. Needles to say, we had our pick of tables in the restaurant. Since there were no customers, I was a bit surprised that the staff wasn’t cleaning. The place wasn’t horrible but there were napkins under the booth seats, etc. We ordered two prime rib meals which were AMAZING… The best ever! We also ordered finger steaks and chicken fried steaks. Both the finger steaks and the chicken fried steak were okay but quite under-​seasoned. It was really awesome to have the salad bar for the meal side salads. That was a great perk! The meals weren’t an A+ but regardless, we will be back again! The staff, atmosphere and location were well worth the drive.

Stopped here last Friday around 6pm for dinner on our way up to McCall. I should have known as soon as I walked in that service would be slow since there were about 6 other tables with customers looking around for their food. I was tempted to leave, but wanted to give them the benefit of doubt since there aren’t many other options in town. We seen it ourselves, and waited 10 minutes before the waitress showed up with our water and menus. We ordered the chicken fried steak, Fried combo, and a medium cowboy pizza. The food took over an hour to arrive at the table. The chicken fried steak was flat, hard and resembled the texture of the soul of your shoe. Their gravy was decent, which is good because otherwise the food was in edible. Their fried combo consisted of finger steaks, fried shrimp, and chicken tenders with a side of greasy fries. Everything was overcooked and dark brown — pretty much unrecognizable. The pizza was just OK. The best part was that they accidentally made a large pizza instead of a medium, so we had some leftovers. Other than that, I’d suggest eating in Boise or Meridian before you head out!

Friendly enough staff but service was very slow. Sandwich was good but the bacon was inedibly undercooked.

We stopped here with my family on the way to McCall & waited over an hour for our food. There was NO ONE else in the restaurant, so it wasn’t because they were busy.

Bad service waited over a hour food never came other tables had there food ate and left. The bar was served. Finally we asked they said they were busy so we asked to just pay for out 1 soda and a side salad from the salad bar gave us a 9.00 bill salad should of been 1.99 soda 2.00 when we inquired why so much waitress said we were charged full price cause we didn’t get our meal. I said well we would have liked our food but didn’t want to wait by now it was almost 1.5 hours. She started arguing with us and another waitress said don’t bother just go. Wow no customer service at all. Never again. Went to kit riverside down the road they were very busy but we had our drinks and ordered food the first 10 min. And amazing food in another 15 min. Great customer service happy waitress wonderful atmosphere.

I don’t know what others experienced, but our family was pleased with this restaurant. Friendly people, spacious and bright, and good, simple burgers. The fries were great too!

Sandwich was good but order was incorrect. Fries looked good but tasted old. I think they were thrown in the microwave. I was supposed to have the Jerusalem Valley sandwich but I was given something different. It still tasted good. I think it would have helped the waitress if she wrote down the order. The clam chowder tasted like it was made from a mix, not homemade.

Stopped by on the way back from rafting on the recommendation of our rafting guide. Good choice. I had a mushroom swiss burger and tots; wife had something called a Jerusalem sandwich and fries; son had a bacon burger and fries. While none of them were the best ever, they were pretty tasty. Having eaten at a couple of other places in Horseshoe Bend (both rightfully now belly up), I was pleasantly surprised.
