I just had my hair cut and colored for the first time by Rose, and I am ecstatic! My hair has never looked so good, and I feel terrific. Now I can’t wait to see all of my family over the holidays! Rose is a true professional… we had a thorough discussion of my expectations and experiences before we even began the process, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The salon, itself, is comfortable and sophisticated, and I recommend it enthusiastically! Definitely a 10+ recommendation.

Rose Rocks! She was born to make people beautiful! She worked in Medway most of her thirty year career and then she went out on her own and opened Uptown Salon & Color Studio in Hopkinton, MA.
Rose was the best hair colorist in Norfolk County and I am sure it won’t be long before she is the best in the Middlesex County! Rose knows her hair color and she knows how to repair bad dye jobs as well. Trust me, as I have had to go to Rose more than once because I have given myself many bad dye jobs and I had to run to Rose to fix the mess! She has had to strip my hair of all the bad buildup of dyes and then correct it with the right color. My daughter who is 26 loves Rose too! Only Rose can mess with her hair, and she gets mad at me when I become impulsive and dye my own hair. She knows all too well that I will be running to Rose to fix it.
I have seen other hair stylists more than once ask Rose for assistance with hair color and Rose always helps them. And it amazes me how educated she is in color! I love listening to her and Rose will ask them questions about the customers hair and sometimes Rose will even walk over to look at the customers hair to see for herself before she answers. She will then answer the stylists question in depth so the hairstylist will learn. She will tell them «what to do» and «what not to do» and she will explain the benefits of the «to do» and the consequences of the «not to do». It is so interesting to listen to her explain. They too know that Rose is simply the best when it comes to color! It also amazes me when she looks at my hair and all the colors I have dumped into it, she can pretty much dissect it and tell me the colors and how many times I colored it!
I cannot say enough GOOD ABOUT ROSE; she is just an amazing and professional stylist! She is with it, and she can cut and style all hair types. Everyone looks better when they leave Rose’s chair and she makes sure it is a style people can work with as well as she wants us to remain looking good when we leave her shop. She is very good like that! And Rose keeps her education going as well. She is forever taking classes to stay with it, and I love that about her. She always stays on top of things.
I love watching brides leave her shop and girls going to the prom! She can do an up do like no tomorrow! The styles she can do are just out of this world. She can do just about anything when it comes to hair.
A few years back I was in a store and a woman was in the same aisle as me and her hairstyle looked so nice and really complimented her face. The cut was different but fashionable and classy at the same time and the color was beautiful. I complimented the woman and she went on to tell me that she has a great hairdresser and she loves her and she was going on and on about this wonderful hairdresser and then she told me it was Rose! I was not surprised as a hair cut and color that looked that great had to come from Rose!
Hopkinton is very fortunate to have the very best outside their door! And I am sure her Medway customers have followed her to Hopkinton as she is not that far from Medway and the ride is easy. And Rose is defiantly worth the trip to Hopkinton!

Rose has been my hairdresser for years and I am so excited that she has started her own business. She has created a beautiful, bright, comfortable salon which is a joy to visit. She is a perfectionist and a color and stylist professional. I always feel and look better when I leave my appointment. Hopkinton is lucky to have her!

I went to Uptown for a color and cut and it came out fantastic! Rose did a great job with my hair .It had been a few months and I really needed a color and a cut. Rose is an expert when it comes to color and blending and it’s just what I wanted. Rose has a lot of patience and always makes you feel like you are her only customer. She takes the time to listen to what you want and makes sure it’s something that will work for you too .
The salon is truly lovely as well.

I went to Uptown Salon to get my hair done today and am so happy with the results.
I walked in with hair that I had neglected since Christmas-​3 inch long dark roots, and equally long split ends. When I called, I was able to get an appointment the exact day and time I wanted without having to wait weeks for an opening.
The inside of the salon is really nice and intimate, I was told it was recently renovated-​it looks great. Everyone who worked there was really nice and all of the other clients seemed happy, too.
My hair came out awesome. Despite the fact that I waited waaaayy too long to get my roots done, the color match came out even. I was afraid that my ends were so damaged that I would have to get a really short cut, but my stylist was able to give me a haircut that got rid of the split ends AND let me keep my length! Awesome. I will definitely be back.
