My parents started going to the previous owners of this business decades ago. When we heard they were closing we were concerned, but when Under the Hood opened we were very happy. They always treat you right — give you the right info and don’t upsell you. I was pissed when I moved to MA and had to go to another garage for an inspection, but will go back to them for repairs even from the distance (assuming its like safe to drive there…)

I was pointed to this garage by a friend and I’ve thanked him ever since. This is a neighborhood garage and the owner knows his stuff. I’ve never been steered wrong and they’ve pointed our several things that I would’ve missed — that they suggested I address/​repair myself as opposed to trying to upsell.
I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a good mechanic or just an inspection.
