I found my visit to Stoltz Vineyard to be excellent in every way! The old house, and it’s view, were magnificent. As was our host John who was very knowledgeable about the wine and the locale. Finally, I greatly enjoyed every wine served in the tasting, including the bonus taste. I very rarely find I enjoy each wine served at a vineyard, and thus I found this experience a special treat. The prices were also very reasonable. Thank you!

This place was A-OK. The person serving tastings the day we arrived was very timid, quiet and serious. Not a bad thing per-say, but we were out enjoying the waterfalls and doing a little wine tasting, and it was a bum way to start our afternoon. They had a Chardonnay that was tasty, but the rest I could have lived without. Probably wouldn’t stop here again, but glad we tried it.

While traveling from Oregon to Montana we stopped in Hood River for a couple of hours. Stoltz winery had been mentioned as a must go location so we took the advice and were so glad we did. Located in an old mortuary and in the oldest house in town it was an oasis, and one we were so glad to find. The proprietor, John, gave us a wonderful history of the premises and described in detail the making of their wine … Very old school and retro … Delightful. And then, the wines; we sampled all of the winery’s offerings, no small pour here, and found each and everyone to be full of character and distinction. We ended up buying a nice variety to enjoy on the rest of our journey. The Pinot Noir and Pink were especially unique and fulfilling. An opportunity not to be missed if in the area.

Wine was just OK. Kinda funky tasting. Not my thing. Chardonnay was the only drinkable one. Much better pinots in my opinion.
