As a local in Hood River who’s grown up here pietros never fails to please. They always have friendly accommodating staff that are prompt and tidy. The dining room is always spotless, and the seating area is huge. This place is great for a quick lunch, or a huge group. They take reservations and have a «party pizza» with huge slices that I swear could feed a rugby team. They have tradition pizza options(hawaiian, pepperoni, etc), as well as some of their own custom recipes… or you can always ask to build your own from scratch. Their cheesy bread is to die for and they also have a full salad bar with all the fixings that’s always kept full with fresh veggies. Plus there’s an arcade in back(old school quarter style) for the kids, and a huge plasma(plus multiple other smaller tvs) in the dining room constantly rotating on espn, tge bews, etc. Overall great place to grab a homemade slice of pie!

We are from SoCal but a wedding brought us to Oregon. On our way to Sisters we stopped here for lunch. What a treat! This place is GREAT! Our cashier/order taker was a young guy who was very helpful and patient with us! We couldn’t decide on a beer to enjoy with our pizza and he was kind enough to allow us to sample a few different local brews before finally selecting a pitcher. We jokingly said«we don’t need to go to a brewery, we have all the same service here»! The pizza and salad bar were amazing! The only negative thing I can say about this place is that there’s not one in SoCal! We were there in Sept 2014, it’s now Feb 2015 and I can’t stop thinking about this joint!

The crust is awesome! Crunchy and not doughy, I prefer the garlic ranch white sauce. I’m a picky eater so I like that I could build my own pizza or breadsticks(if you ask real sweetly they’ll add toppings to it!). Huge seating selection, great for big and small groups. I’ve attended birthday parties and events here, they accommodate great! There’s a giant fireplace in the center of the dining area and TVs everywhere. They have a small arcade in the back and a decent selection of prizes. My favorite would have to be a personal pizza(or breadsticks!) & a walk through the salad bar. It’s always very fresh and they even offer pudding and cottage cheese! You can buy an ice cream cone and make the ice cream cone yourself, sometimes a little messy! They offer the basic vanilla, chocolate, mix. No sprinkles though :( Even when they’re super busy they always have fast friendly service. Definitely a favorite local spot of mine.

This place has tons of potential. If only they were ever open or cleaned anything, it would be great. Saddest salad bar ever.

Open on Sat and Sunday. Always eat here after polar express. Always a hit with the kids. Old school style pizza. Love the potato wedges.

Good pizza with fresh ingredients. The restaurant however was cold and felt dingy and dated. A great place if you have kids and want to keep them busy with video games.

This is weird. This place is only open from 11AM to 2PM. No, not 2AM. 2PM. No, they don’t re-open later for supper. 2PM and we are outta here. Weird.

My family has been a fan of Pietro’s Pizza — Hood River since before it was called Pietro’s(Shakey’s, anyone?!) so much so that we had our rehearsal dinner there 16 years ago and still welcome any excuse to visit. Their pizza tastes great, their employees are friendly, arcade games with prizes for the kids make waiting a blast, and their prices are always reasonable(the lunch special is the best!). It does get busy when the Mt. Hood Railroad excursion train gets in, but its worth a few minutes wait while they clean a table. If that weren’t enough, they are always eager to help support local schools and fire departments. We(heart) Pietro’s Pizza!

Bad service and salad bar was severely lacking in quality, freshness and taste. Not your normal Piertros.

We drive 20 miles to the West just to have a delicious clean Salad Bar and so the kids can play some games. The pizza is awesome as well. Definitely a great place to eat.

Great if you have kids but if you want pizza and beer then no way. The tables were full of dirty plates etc and no one was trying to clean them up. We had warm beer and the pizza was not that good. Its made for coaches to take the team and get cheap pizza and play video games. Not again.

I love Salem’s Pietro’s. This is not Salem’s Pietro’s. Returning from our trip to the valley, we wanted to get one last taste of good pizza. Since Pietro’s ranks number one on my pizza list, we thought we’d snag a lunch and some to go. This turned out to be very disappointing. There was something just plain off about this version of peperoni. I think it was the sauce or the pepperonis themselves. The taste was so different that I was tempted to give back the take-out order, but since my boyfriend will eat anything, we just kept it. Oh well, I know for next time to just get my fix in Salem.

NOT the same as Pietro’s Salem location. DIFFERENT pizza. so disappointed since I LOVE Salem’s Pietros. Arrived at 430pm on a Saturday, and it was PACKED. kids everywhere. Has an OK interior, located just off I-84 in an older building. crust wasn’t as good and not as thin as i’m used to. topping weren’t the same either. WEIRD. staff was not too helpful… very rushed and hurried. NOSMILES here. food arrived within 20 minutes of ordering, so not bad. very bummed we ate here of all places in Hood River. oh well, was just excited to see a Pietros in the«middle of nowhere» lol

We picked up some takeout pizza here and requested it half baked since we were not hungry yet but wanted to have some pizza later when we were home in Beaverton. Oh sweet deliciousness… not I understand why my husband like Pietros — they make a pretty damned good canadian bacon and pineapple pizza. They even half baked it for us so we could finish it at home and wrote us some cooking instructions. The service was meh… the restaurant was kinda scary honestly but for the tasty pizza… they get a 4 even though I was really craving sushi across the street…

We stopped by Pietros yesterday, our favorite pizza in the world is their thin crust and it is just as good here as it is at their Milwaukee location in Portland which we frequent. It was not too busy even thought it was a holiday, we were quite surprised how dirty the place was. There were tables which needed to be bussed all over the place, it was hard to find a clean table to sit at. The same dirty tables we saw on the way in were the same as when we left. I am not sure if they were understaffed or if that is a normal situation. The other thing I found quite odd was there was only 1 stall in the only bathroom I saw and it was not wheelchair accessible. I tend to look for that now that my Mom is limited in her mobility. The pizza a solid 5 as usual The Restaurant itself a barely passable 3 Also one of the most pathetic looking salad bar I have seen in quite some time.

Pizza was just ok, blan sauce, ok toppings, the crust is thin and crsipy(which I like). Would not go here for the pizza. Atmosphere is good for familys. My kids loved the games which made for a pleasant dinning experience for this momma. Salad bar was basic, but veggies seemed fresh, lettuce was crips and they had spinach as an option(I love spinach salads). Given the options for pizza in Hood River I would avoid this place unless you don’t have a choice(birthday party etc)

This place is a must stop for my family when we drive through Hood River! The thin, crisp crust surprisingly holds the pieces of pizza stiff, never droopy! They don’t skimp on fresh toppings! Yeah, the place is old, but it brings me back to my childhood when we had one in Kennewick, WA. The pizza still tastes the same! I love this place!!!
