Wolford

Wolford has always been me and my mother’s friend, I was introduced to this brand by my very own mother. Growing up with an Army General as my Grand father we all learn how to make our clothes sexy but classy since we’re just going to be so dead if we go out showing too much skin.
Wolford has been my fairy god mother, she covered my legs with some satin class whenever I feel like wearing some short clothes. I’m so glad that she’s still here for me when I moved to hawaii.
They have lots of different style and color, they also sell some lingerie here and there, and some cute undies, but they are mainly stockings, hosiery and shape wear kinda store.
I think if you’re thinking of getting a good pair of stockings this is the place for you, their stockings are pretty durable they don’t snag fast and you can feel the top quality of the material when you wear it.
Ambiance: is pretty nice, well organized, and clean, i really love the lighted shelves and tables.
Price: $$-$$$ it can be pretty pricey depending on the style.
Service: is OK I think they can cater to you better but I like that they are not pushy
Overall recommend this store to all the gals out there, this store is full of class.

This store does seem rather intimidating from the outside – it looks like it will be pricey (it is), and it’s not very big so even if the salesperson is not following you around you might feel like you don’t have ample space to peruse the merchandise without being stared at.
I was headed to the mainland on a business trip and needed to get some tights for my sweater dress/​boot combos I had been dying to wear. I really hate tights, but had heard a lot about the quality of Woolford. I figured maybe if I had some really nice ones I might at least find them tolerable.
The salesperson was very knowledgeable and she patiently explained the different hosiery options. I settled on black opaque tights. I still can’t believe I spent $ 58 on tights however it did wear very well without a snag. It was also the most comfortable tights I have ever worn. Hopefully they will last until I’m 58.

Ok this is weird I just read all the other reviews on this store. and well I just love the service there… they were not snotty and I came in all hobo with 2 kids on my arm and they were quite accomodating helping me with sizes and not making me feel uncomfortable about my children making noises and playing in the dressing room. I love the items I have purchased… well worth the investment… the comfort and quality is better than spanx and simply any other type of body shaper/​slip/​lingerie I have ever tried. Oh and they look beautiful on!
Wish I had a million dollars so that I could have more…

The girlfriend loves the stockings and such from Wolford. So, finding a store in Honolulu was a great find for her.
The great quality of their products are matched by how expensive this place is. Unfortunately, when we venture in here it does come off as pretentious. I think this scares off many patrons that would at least come into the store. It’s a small store, but you get the feeling that the employees really hover over you and don’t really back off that too much. A comparable place that has a way better shopping atmosphere would be Nordstrom’s. There they have impeccable customer service and bend over backwards to satisfy your needs.
One problem we did run into is when the girlfriend bought a new pair and tried to put them on the first time and they ripped bigtime. I’m not a professor when it comes to stockings. Maybe my girlfriend was doing it wrong? Not likely. So, I called them back up and talked to both the employee and then the manager. They said that we could only return them if there was a defect and she only needed a second to check the stockings and see if there was. She went on to say that she doubted that it was defective because of all the hoops I guess Wolford goes though to prevent defects. I know that the economy sucks and companies are revising their return policies, but that’s not customer service at all. I worked in retail as a manager and hey, rules are not always iron clad. Especially, in terms of high-​end retail. It was thoroughly disappointing. At that point we just gave up because it didn’t seem like we were getting anywhere.
Why the three stars? Well the girlfriend still likes the products a lot. I think now we mostly look on eBay or Nordstrom’s though. This is an average score for a five star product and sub par customer service.

I have to say that I have never been so insulted to walk in to a store before. The saleswomen in here were so snotty! I walked in AND said «hello» to them, they stood there looked me up from head-​to-​toe and didn’t utter ONE word. One of them went back to stocking the shelves another one turned on her heel and walked away! So I did the same, walked right back out the front door!
It’s too bad, I like the selection of high-​end hosiery that is made by Wolford, now I don’t think I’ll shop here again!
