So MOMO’s at Vice changed to Honey and the location is different but me and friends checked out honey last night at 1215 and it was poppin. First event for a new start and they definitely came through. The drinks are kinda pricey, $ 9 per shot. But the music and the free photo booth definitely makes up for it. Free on Friday night? Find out where raucesauce events are at and you’ll for sure have a good time.

I haven’t been to Vice since they changed it to an 18 and over club, until last night. They have the club set up into two sections now — the dance floor and the 21+ area. Being an 18 – 20 yr old, I guess you don’t have much of a choice of clubs so I guess this is where you can go. It’s still a bad experience. The club now has the bouncers force everyone on to the dance floor which is very annoying since it gets disgustingly cramped. You can see all the open space where you could take a break and just chill but they won’t allow you to go there. This is completed stupid and the first time I have seen this. After seeing their social media posts, I understand why they do this. It makes their club look busy and packed full of people. You can’t even really dance since everyone is basically smashed together. The only way to have some space and chill is to be 21+ and go into their sectioned off area. The reason why there is a lot of space there is because 21+ yr olds don’t really come here. My friends and I got a drink and the first sip tasted SOOO horrible. Like straight alcohol. I don’t mind getting a little more alcohol but not like that. My friend asked to change his drink or redo it and the shitty bartender gave him attitude. Also, you can’t leave the 21+ area if you have a drink. Conclusion: This place is horrible. I just heard a rumor that they are closing down soon. Thank god. Spend your money at a different club.

I have been here several times now and I always enjoy myself. I love being able to have 18+ and 21+ in the same building. The bathroom attendants are nice. I’m glad people go outside to smoke. I haven’t had any real negative issues here. Security is strict and to the point but that is how security needs to be. Can’t have people getting nuts and not be able to control it. The people running it seem pretty down to earth and reasonable to me. I wouldn’t mind throwing an event there. I love that salsa dancing is offered for free. They stay open reasonably late. The drinks though: yikes. Expensive, small, taste horrible! I always meet awesome people here or see friends dancing, it is fun even for a spontaneous lady like me to just drop in randomly. Expect a cover, which I don’t mind paying to keep the music scene alive.

My girlfriends and I decided to come here last night instead of our weekly usual at M. Since M was having FEM concert and we knew it was gonna be hella packed. So we gave this place a try. We got there and they charged $ 10 cover, we never pay for cover but we let it go. Since this club is 18+, they put wristbands on 21+ to separate. When you go you’ll see they have an outdoor for smokers, bar and then the dance floor. When you go to the bar theres two bouncers at each end making sure you have wristbands… and guess what you CANT leave with your drink. like seriously? You have to finish your drink before going anywhere else. That’s ok understandable for 18+ club but the drinks were overly priced and in a plastic cup. One of my friends got Tokyo tea and other places we love it so we know how it tasted. well these bartenders must be rookies cause how do you mess that up? It tasted like vomit literally no joke! My other friend got an STP… it was alright but who the hell adds a lemon to STP? The dance floor… lets just say took ratchet to a whole new level… Any other club on this island is 10x better than this place. Music is more of EDM and you’ll see kids with their rave gloves here. We know where to NOTCOME! Waste of time and money. If you’re under 21 maybe this place is for you. We’re gonna stick to the M.

It’s been a while since I visited a nightclub. I didn’t even know there was one at Ward! Came early(9 p.m.) cause we were there for a mahalo party. Third floor of Ward Centers. There wasn’t a line, yet, but each line was different(general, VIP, guest list… something like that). Got in for free, and headed to a section for the party. We had pupus from Dave and Buster’s and an open bar. which had couches and a table. Not sure if it’s always like that for the VIP section of if this was just for a special occasion. Music wasn’t bad, just the dancing and the clothing some of these chose to wear. O____O WHATISGOINGON. Nuff said. By midnight, the place wasn’t even packed. They have a balcony area. That’s nice. Ugh, I did not like it when a bouncer grabbed my arm just to check if I had my wristband on. Be nicer!

I’ve been here a total of three times and won’t come back The first time was fun cos I ran into a lot of people I knew from all over the island. Smaller venue, the music is mostly EDM/ravey with a younger Asian crowd. I’m short but I guess with heels(5’7) I could see the top of a lot of people’s heads… The second time was cool too, smaller venue, packed, with dancing bodies and confetti falling out the third time, I went for my friend’s birthday. We were all on the guest list but they still made me pay cover. Hell, I have friends that promote there. shoulda asked. Maybe because I was underage don’t know… but I wasn’t expecting that. All my friends went to the 21+ side outside and I was stuck in the under side. This is about the jerk bouncers! I guess if I was an old 50 something Polynesian guy I’d be pissed too watching drunk Asian kids grinding on each other. They were such jerks to me because I was trying to go outside, last time I went they had it flipped 21+ on the Left but they moved it to the right… I was just trying to go outside and the bouncer chased me when I was halfway… and my friend got kicked out. She was a little drunk but wasn’t like super annoying. Went on a Friday night, maybe cos it was Black Friday, everyone was so casual! Guy friends were mad cos they thought they couldn’t wear hats. Other friend got in wearing moke slippahs… no dress code and made me feel overdressed… The bouncers just killed the vibe for me and maybe I’m not into the whole club scene anymore. Just thought I’d vent. This club is good if you’re Asian, into edm, and can’t get into anywhere else… I’m on to better things.

I miss Vice Saturdays in Hawaii! Seeing as I came here at least twice a month while I was 21 and living on Oahu, I figured I would share my experiences I have had here. First off this is an Asian Club and 90% of the clubbers are Asian. This makes me love Vice even more because of this fact. The crowd is also young and still college aged so if you are probably reaching early 30s I think you should maybe choose somewhere else to go. You have to dress pretty nicely to get in too. Guys have a collared shirt with pants, and girls just dress hot! Second, don’t go to Vice before 11, maybe even 12 because it will be empty. Usually there are events where you can get in free before 11, but if you are willing to wait till it is crowded and pay the general $ 10 fee then wait. I knew a friend that worked here so I usually had free entry. Third: The drinks are sometimes pricey and I remember one time that a bartender told me it was $ 50 to hold a tab… crazy. So I would also recommend pregaming a bit as that’s what most people do anyway. There have been a couple of times where we have had bottle service and you get to sit on the area surrounding the dance floor. It does not feel too VIP, but it is comfortable and spacious. Fourth and finally, the music is usually a hip-hop and edm techno mix so everyone can have something to dance to. There is a patio area where you can rest for a bit and escape the crazy sweaty crowd. It closes at 2am on Saturdays, but most start leaving at 1 and head over to Ginza.

I’m actually not a fan of this place, but I gave Vice four stars on behalf of my 21-year-old self who would’ve hung out here every weekend. To preface, I DONOT like the club scene anymore. These days, I only go to dance clubs for two reasons: 1. my drunk alter ego wrongfully thought it was a good idea or 2. a special occasion. I went to Vice to celebrate my friend’s bachelorette party. After hopping off a 6-hour flight, I took a cab and found myself stepping in several questionable floor puddles as I searched for my group. This place is PACKED. If you don’t like crowds, either pop a Xanax or pre-game before entering. If you don’t, you’ll surely have a breakdown. Once seated in the unnecessarily pretentious«bottle service» designated area, I felt fine. No one was stepping on me and our pregnant friend poured us drinks. If you’re the type to think that paying $ 200 for a $ 27 bottle bottle of Grey Goose merits constant attention, you are out of your mind. You throw down this kind of cash so you have a place to sit. That’s about it. This place is crazy busy and you shouldn’t wait around for someone to mix your vodka and pineapple juice. Get over yourself. Basically, this is a pretty fun place to hang if you want to dance and drink. The music is good. You can tell people tried really hard to get dolled up. Too bad it’s like being in a dark cave filled with a mist of sweat and entitlement. …like any other nightclub.

Visited on a Saturday night, June 16, 2012(sorry, long overdue review!) If you’re looking for a college crowd, esp Asian, and not into bougie clubs with strict dress code, you’ve come to the right spot. The place was crowded, and I immediately felt old — definitely saw some fresh-faced 21-year olds(or younger) here. The space had a warehouse feel to it — minimal décor save the random ceiling hung lights you see on the page’s pic posted, and a trendy Joker(Dark Knight) mural on a wall with«Why So Serious?» under it… kinda random, but don’t think the crowd here cares much about interior design so much. Girls were generally nice and approachable. Ok, scratch«generally,» they all were, and we made the best of it. No dolled up supermodels or anything, just a laid back crowd that was willing to dance and/or make friends. Music appealed to the younger generation, mostly EDM… don’t think dubstep had quite become as popular last summer yet, but things may have changed as of this posting. There’s a patio you can escape the heat from, kinda… still packed out there. Overall, I had a good experience but couldn’t really recommend it to everyone. If you just turned 21 and are new to clubbing, sure, give this place a whirl.

Midnight Saturday night: Initial plan was Pearl but we couldn’t get into Ala Moana to park so we had to give up that plan and head to Ginza. Being the noobs we were, we had no idea that Ginza was an afterhours club only. That was why it was dead empty at midnight haha. The bouncers were nice enough to explain everything to us. They told us to head over to Vice at Ward, their other club and then come back to Ginza later on. When we arrived after midnight I was a little worried that cover would go up but luckily the girls were free and the guy’s cover didn’t increase. $ 15 for a guy isn’t too bad. We had just missed the Chinese lion dancers but I think that was pretty cool that they would have special CNY entertainment! The club was small but not crowded. Nobody was pushing and there is plenty of room to get drinks at the bar. Modern décor and the lasers were fun to look at too! I don’t expect much from Hawaii clubs, and this is like a way scaled down Vegas club with lasers, smoke blowing when the beat drops, and confetti explosions throughout the night. Cute :) The drinks are small but fair in price. The AMFs and Long Island Ice Teas were $ 9 each. In terms of music, DJ Anit was pretty awesome. She played a great mix of Rap and Electronic/House music. There was a sick house remix of Alicia Keys«Girl on Fire» that gave me chills. Great music. Wish I could be as good a DJ as her. Crowd is Asian of course. Same people here that you will see at Ginza afterwards. If you missed your friends at Vice just meet them up at Ginza! The usual crowds of friends and scattered random creepers. The level of creepiness isn’t as bad as I have experienced in the past. The guys are not as pushy or aggressive as they are in LA or Vegas. Maybe guys are more shy in Hawaii or more respectful? Either way I appreciate it though! Some of the girls were not as dressed up as I would expect for a nightclub though. One girl kept hitting me with her huge Gilly Hicks totebag… is she planning to study after the club? Another girl was wearing Toms. smh. We all had a fun night and danced hard to some good music: D Liked this club more than M Nightclub on restaurant row. Don’t get too tired cus you have to go to Ginza next! — Easy, free parking in the mall lot.

Taking over the old Brew Moon space, Vice is filling the night scene void that seems to be lacking in the Ward area. It offers a large venue to party it up with friends and just let loose after a long week. Is it the greatest? Eh, it really just depends on your mood and what you are looking for that night. The ambiance is definitely hip and cool. The dark tones with the club lights seem to contrast with these contemporary chandeliers, but it’s not that bad. It screams cool, hip, and the place to be seen, yet it falls flat on the latter. It hosts a lot of events whether it is a launch party for one of the newest and latest or just various theme nights, so take a look at their calendar before going. It is on that note that it just depends on the mood you are going for. One night might be hip hop music, the next trance, and even old school the next. Just take a look and find out who might be spinnin that night. The crowd is also interesting depending on what is going on. It can either be pretty busy, or rather slow, just depends. The drinks are decently poured and as some have mentioned, one of the few places where bartenders are clamoring to take your drink rather than you fighting for it. Not that it isn’t busy, rather they are that efficient. Prices are reasonable and service is one of its shining moments.

I recently went to a In4mation event here to watch my friend’s band Humble Soul play… and it was a pretty sweet set up. We had couches in the back so we could chill and watch or get close and dance to some reggae. The bar is in a very central location making it easy to access it. My only complaint is that they don’t have Stoli vodka. Weird? Yah… I thought so too. There were also cocktail waitresses walking around taking drink orders… I’ve also been here a few times to go clubbing on a weekend night. No big complaints. Although it always seems like the same crowd. its never super packed that you can’t move around… The crowd always drifts off to Ginza after since they are open till 4. I’d love to see some more chill events go on here… Oct31Challenge: 07⁄31

I’ve been to VICE on multiple occassions — for the night club, art events, networking events, professional events, salsa dancing, and I’ve always gotten horrible service from the bar. The bar staff is so disorganized and unprofessional. We got girls«working» back there texting on their cell phones, when there are multiple people waiting at the bar for drinks. Yes, they may not be able to make us drinks since they are not bartenders, but they could atleast tell us the bartender will be right with us, something… anything, besides for just standing there playing on their phones ignoring everyone! I’ve literally waited 25 minutes to get a drink, no joke(and this was not during night club time). Two thumbs up for decent pizza by Inferno atleast. As for the night club scene, it is very very young. And asian invasian. If you like that kinda crowd & like horrible service, this is the place for you.

Formerly, this was the restaurant, BrewMoon… and I guess the club after that was Papparazzi? Anyway, this is now VICE Nightclub, occupied by HI Beer company and Brickoven Inferno Pizzas! YUMM. Yup, after being at Farmer’s Markets after Farmer’s Markets, Brickoven have made this place their permanent location. I would come here just for the pizzas, maybe not on a Friday or Saturday night, due to the young crowd and the fact that I do not like nightclubs, but love Brickoven pizzas… Give it a try.

Hawaii’s only LED light experience nightclub. Lighting and décor are on point. Absolutely love this club! Always see familiar faces, and my favorite industry loves. Very easy to get a drink because of the layout and(of course) speedy bartenders. Probably the closest Hawaii is getting to Vegas nightlife. Find me behind the ropes in the bottle service area. Best view of the entire club, and away from the sweaty dance floor. Bathroom line can get long, but it moves fast. MUSICISAWESOME! However, I’m very sorry if you don’t like EDM.

Vice is a great venue to hold events, assuming you have the people to fill up the space. There’s a great mural on the wall, near the entrance featuring everyone’s favorite Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker ala Heath Ledger. Look closer and you’ll also see the perrenial favorite gangsta, Al Pacino, along with his little friend. There’s the typical bar, but with some fascinating light fixtures floating above. Many club goers often take pictures of these luminescent globes. At the end of the bar is the DJ booth, a couple of feet above ground level, giving them an expansive view of the dance floor. Right next to the DJ booth is one of the biggest bottlenecks in the club, the entrance to the restrooms. There’s a lanai area that overlooks Ward Centres and gives the clubgoer a place to catch their breath and get a whiff of fresh air. The lanai offers a few couches to relax, assuming they haven’t already been claimed by others. The dance floor is where all the action happens and can be configured to suit the event. I’ve been here for RAW Honolulu events, along with the typical club night. Above the dance floor is a pretty decent cascading light display, if you’re into that kind of thing. The quality of the music really depends on the DJ of the evening, but there are also events where live bands perform as well. Like most clubs, the amount of fun you’ll have here will probably depend on the people you’re with and the event that’s going on.

Meep this place. Crowded„ creepy, crazy, and loud is not the place for me. A Saturday night dance club is just crazy and wild. People just increases around 12AM. I didn’t like the music… it was hard to dance to the beat. The dance floor is crowded… and people are just rude and scary. The dance floor was big I guess, but I didn’t like that they had those corner or certain area blocked off because it was annoying when dancing by it. It would be more fun when you have more friends to go with. I only went with two friends and it was just awkward and weird. I think I’ll never do that again. It turns out not as fun as I thought it would be. Big disappointment.

Beer gogglers beware! The lighting here is pretty decent so the uglies may really be ugly even after downing a few. Saturday night is when it’s going off. The music is good and the dance floor is spacious. There are the occasional themed parties and guest DJs. My favorite so far was their neon party… I think that night ruined all the other outings that came afterwards. The crowd is on the younger side but it makes for a much livelier vibe! I don’t care to go to nightclubs but my friends love to dance so it’s either I spend my Saturday night alone with my cat or be out with them. First world problems, I swear. Asian Nation, free parking, $ 30 to run your credit card for your drinks. The End. PS: Inferno’s Pizza is located at Vice during the daytime!!!
