After switching our flight, my hubby & I had a few hours to kill. We usually grab burgers at the airport Burger King, but the sushi menu right next door looked appetizing. I ordered some type of overly priced spicy roll and to be completely honest, my favorite thing on the plate was the fresh sliced jalapeños. The roll was small and someone was heavy handed on the citrus but no other flavors, adding soy sauce made it worse. It was definitely not worth the price. My husband ordered a beef soba & could not get past a few bites, it was bland and tasted like it came out of the fridge. The service was great however, the waitress was attentive and always asked if we needed anything(it may have been a little over bearing, but we were the only ones in the dining area at the time) Ultimately, I think we will stick to Burger King next door before our flights.

Great food at a reasonable price. I tried the curry with ginger beef. Sorry forgot to take a photo. The presentation and taste was terrific. I was hungry. Portion was a good amount. I love the #1 bc of the salad which had a vinergret taste. This help sooth the hot curry, the curry was not too spicy. I would prefer if it had a bit more kick but then again I love spicy food. Decent spot for a quick bit before you board the 10hr flight.

It’s airport food, nothing more, nothing less. Space is airy, contemporary, and a little noisy, but that’s expected for an airport place. Food isn’t cheap either, but it’s not too bad a ripoff for an airport restaurant. Sushi is passable. By airport standards it’s actually not bad, but given I’d just come from Narita, well, yeah… no comparison at all compared to the airport sushi at NRT. But that’s not a fair comparison… OTOH, the real disappointment was the ramen. Had the special of the day– crab ramen– and was hoping for something at least decent, considering Hawaii is the home of Sun Noodle Company, and they can get decent ramen noodles here. Instead, I had an extremely price bowl of so-so ramen, and the crab felt like a distinct waste in ramen. There’s probably a way to execute crab in ramen that’s better than this, but even so, the broth and noodles weren’t even average at best, unless your average is a step above prepackaged. Not bad if you don’t mind the price for airport food, but nothing special either.

I’m on the fence with this sushi place. First of all, the seating was filthy and stained. They have orange cloth seats so you can see all the stains(look at my picture). I ordered the ramen with king crab, it should be been renamed to «ramen with slivers of king crab for $ 14.00» The ramen was served in a small soup bowl. My husband got the mushroom with soba noodle and he added chicken to it. It was OK and also very small portion. He also got a roll with shrimp tempura and tuna on top(we’ve had better rolls). My kids got the teriyaki chicken with rice and it was OK. I think they took one chicken breast and made two orders with it.

Most likely the best airport sushi you’ll ever get. Fresh, innovative, and overpriced, this is the perfect place to go in the United Terminal within the Honolulu airport if you have some time to kill and don’t want to spend money on terrible airline food, especially for a long flight to the mainland. That’s about it.

I haven’t traveled to Japan yet, so I can’t say that this is the best airport sushi in the world, but it was easily the best airport sushi I’ve ever had. Only issue is that you have to order through a server rather than the folks behind the counter(which is weird… why am I sitting at a counter then?) Bit pricey but hey, it’s at an airport. And it was pretty decent, and I’d go again.

I ordered curry, tiny portion, and the rice is not even cooked throughly. I guess I cannot Expect much since it is in airport terminal. not many people are eating here, so if u are looking for a quite area, it is not a bad choice. When we paid the bill, the waiter waited us to write the bill, and checked the tip. I have never experienced this before elsewhere in the US.

Came here to have a drink and a snack while waiting for our flight back home. Our waitress was super nice, didn’t try to rush us and kept filling our water glasses. We ordered soup noodles and the crunch California roll which was pretty good but a little expensive but we were in the airport so it was to be expected. Nice place to hang out if you’re way early to catch your flight!

Not sure how these folks had a ‘great experience’ when basics like the soy sauce don’t taste good They use ‘soy rice paper’ instead of seaweed(not sure what that’s supposed to do) But nothing came together on Hawaiian roll or the veggie roll we had Also — out of garden salad? Notbaure how you do that either I wouldn’t go back

Every thing tastes great. My wife got a mock tail. She said it’s the best ever. Virgin lyche mojito. My rolls are great. Even my 17 month old daughter is enjoying her roll! For airport food, this place is stellar. My only complaint was our server portioning out my soy sauce. We had to get more wasabi. He put way too much soy sauce in my ramican. I fixed it with more wasabi and all is well! Our server(Jamal) was very friendly tho. And gave great service.

Not bad at all for airport food. Airport prices but at least its restaurant quality. 5 star for airport food. Spicy Tuna Roll($ 10): Don’t order this. This was my least favorite of what we ordered. Spicy Curry with Chicken($ 13): Very nice kick with this dish. Plain chicken but at least it wasn’t dry. I would get this in an airport again. Udon Chili with Ginger Beef($ 13): This dish had the best flavor. Beef broth with a kim chee flavoring. Interesting blend of flavors. For some reason, lots of their dishes had asparagus. Meh…

They have the smallest sushi I have ever seen lol its pretty pricey for the size and taste. The sushi is nicely presented. it’s pretty but it’s just so so small it’s almost funny lol. Wouldn’t really recommend this place not worth it. $ 50 for 3 small rolls lol

We were very skeptical of a sushi restaurant at the airport and both of us are huge sushi snobs. We were both very surprised how good their rolls were. I tried the Hawaiian roll which had salmon, tuna, hamachi and mango with yummy mango sauce. Their spicy mayo sauce was great too! I also tried lychee mojito — very tasty, not too sweet with lychee flavor. The other roll we tried was shrimp tempura with cream cheese and unagi. Topped with black tobiko. It was really good. I will definitely come back here again. Staff was nice too :-)

Fast speed, good quality. But limited selections, small portion, expensive, and no free wifi available. So overall, it is just okay.

Good location, high-quality food(and price matching it, if not more), nice deco, clean tables, and attentive servers. Nigiri was top-notch and spicy curry(beef and tofu) was delicious. Definitely took longer than fast food, but a good choice to chill and enjoy.

For an airport restaurant they are really slow. I think they need to rethink their process since most of us got to catch a plane. Meanwhile the chicken curry wasn’t that good. They grilled the chicken by itself with no seasoning and put the curry sauce on top of it. It’s in a great spot. I guess this was a better alternative than Burger King. I guess I won’t get the curry again.

We were looking for a place to eat at the Honolulu Airport and found Umaizushi. We had a choice between the Tequilaria and here but chose here since it looked clean and modern and the menu has a decent variety to choose from. Bottom line: Pretty good quality and good tasting food, but portions are on the small end. Pricing is similar to high-mid to higher scale Japanese restaurants, probably to account both for the location and the quality of food. I enjoyed eating here and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a nice clean, quieter atmosphere to eat some food while waiting for or after your flight. P. S. They also have outlets at the bar area and at some tables so you can charge your laptop or phone or whatever.

Nice new spot in the airport! Walking to the united gates and was getting a little hungry. Was about to walk into burger king, then i saw umaizushi! Menu isn’t very big, but it has everything i usually get anyway. I tried their sampler with tuna, hamachi, salmon, and shrimp. Cuts looked and tastes fresh, they were tasty, but what i liked most about them was that they weren’t sitting on top of a mountain of rice. Just a bit to give you flavor, but not enough to make you think about your carb intake for the day. Nice presentation, but i devoured my plate before i remembered to take a pic. Plenty of alcohol to choose from; sake shochu, cocktails, beer, and wine. I had their chardonnay. Cheap and good! They also have mochi ice cream. Win! They only have three flavors; strawberry, lychee, and green tea. Service was good, friendly, and make you feel very comfortable. Next flight out i’ll definitely stop by!

This was definitely serviceable airport food. I’d like to think eating sushi in airport in Hawaii is fresher than eating it in airports anywhere else in the US. Our sushi rolls were decent. The spicy curry and noodle dishes were even better. At about $ 9 each, it is pretty affordable compared to other sit-down airport options. The chicken in my curry was cooked perfectly and was quite flavorful. The curry itself was light and with a nice kick to it.
