Wow I was expecting a lot more from a Doubletree hotel. First the lack of good wine. Only 2 Chardonnays many more reds but my wife had a Parducci merlot normally a good red. It must have been open for a couple of weeks. It was not drinkable. Ordered the Kalua pork nacho. Happy hour. It was passable. But wouldn’t order iitt again. The service was 4 stars. Too bad very thing else needed more attention.

Comfort and great food at the newly renovated Bistro. Happy Hour is from 5−7pm and offers specials on pupus! Beer is priced at $ 5 – 6 for bottles and pint drafts. Wine is at $ 6 and specialty cocktails run $ 8. Most of the patrons are guests of the hotel, but quite a few locals are discovering the place as well. The bartender, Earl, has been bar-tending at various Honolulu locations for over 30 years! He is very outgoing and loves to «talk story» with the guests at the bar. The restaurant has a view of Fort DeRussy Park. There is a TV which is either on sports or sometimes an interesting SciFi or sitcom. The Bistro is open for breakfast and dinner daily. Breakfast consist of a hot and cold buffet from 6−10am(7−10am on Sundays and holidays) and dinner is served from 5−10pm daily. Free valet parking for three hours while dining and free wifi. Don’t forget the Doubletree Cookie Sundae for only $ 5! Pure BLISS!
