I was a regular at this bar before the chef change and the food was more then perfect but after the change, nothing can live up to good, old chef Edd. I feel bad that this bar it judged on that. The service is great and the workers are more then less on top of it.

Been here a couple times and I hope to come back next time I’m in town. Food is really good and the bartenders know their stuff. Just don’t go drinking if you’re feeling a little dizzy from scuba diving, learned that the hard way.

In the Kitchen, Chef RayRay is a boss. He works so hard 7 days a week. Created a perfect exotic but simple, classy but fimiliar menu that he puts his heart into… You can taste it!!! So «ono» aka delicious and perfect. A must stop for a quick, tasty, and humble meal !!

I had nachos and my wife had the slides. The food was good and staff was nice. Our drinks were good also. Overall I would recommend the place for somewhere to relax.

Every time I come here it’s a great time. I return for the awesome service, food, and drinks. It has a very laid back atmosphere. There’s music, darts, and TV’s around the walls playing sports stations. But just a heads up for the old timers: there’s a new chef. Some things from the old menu have been recreated, but others have yet to be added. Nonetheless still one of my favorite spots!

Food’s good. Drink’s good. Service ok. Sometimes you have to flag them down when your drink is empty but sometime they’ll come to u. I guess if it depends on if they pass by you or not. For the most part service is friendly and food are good so I guess I give them 3 stars.. Parking is the worst.

I gave 3 stars because the waitresses are very nice, and the drinks are cheap. $ 5 for Stella on draft, good deals. But $ 18 for a small, flimsy piece of steak is ridiculous. How is that a special? I’d be embarrassed to sell that product, should’ve taken a photo because it was sad. Oh btw, ordered it medium rare, one side was cooked to temperature, the other half was well done… Might be back for drinks, but will not order food.

Had a great experience here. The atmosphere was great, right when we walked in the girls welcomed us. They were super quick on the drinks. The music could’ve been better but the food made up for it! We had ordered the dynamite fries AND the carne asada fries(which was bomb) & steak which took almost 30 minutes to come out, but they comped that off our bill and got a round of patron, on the house! Great service & great food will defs be coming back!

My mom wanted to try this place after she saw their commercial on one of her Korean dramas XD. We went during the day for a late lunch around 3pm when they opened(it was dead). We shared the carne asada nachos with french fries instead of chips and it was so good. The nachos come dressed with this jalapeño cream sauce that is delicious and not too spicy. I would come back to Surrender just for these nachos. We also had the clams. They were okay but nothing to rave about. I will be back to try more things on their food menu. I only had one drink. I tried the STP and it was way too sweet for me.

I really want to like this place. Good food, awesome service, and great people. Not much more that you can ask for in a bar. However, the drink selection here is «meh» at best. Only Budlight on draft(but from what I hear, it’s due to lack of space for kegs) They do have bottles, but it’s the same stuff that’d you’d find in most bars. But I’m a drink junkie and have a small obsession for craft beers, but if you want to set yourself apart and not be another statistic for that space, maybe step up the beer and liquor selection? Aside from that, the food here is on point. I usually get the wings or the sliders. Both juicy and delicious. I’ve also had the chance to try some of their other dishes and none have disappointed me yet. Like most have said, parking can be tough. They have 4 or 5 stalls reserved for them, but they’re usually taken. I usually park on young or beretania and walk. Overall, great place to hang out. Great atmosphere, staff, and food.

First time… Lucky’s service was excellent! The sliders was so good along with the Carne Asada French fries, Pork Belly Bao, and Congee! Will definitely come back to watch football games! Go Seahawks!

The workers are beautiful. I’m not saying that just because my friends work there. But my friends are beautiful. I just had to put that out there. The drinks are good. The food is good. The company is good. The customers are characters. I’m a customer and I’ve been called a character. Don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. It’s a thing though. The food is bar food. But good bar food. Reminiscent of Home Bar, Anasia, and Hush. And cheap. It’s cheap, good food. Although cheap is relative. I can afford it, so it must be pretty cheap, right? Parking sucks though. Like really sucks on the weekend. Weekdays, it’s not so bad. Just cab it though. Save yourself a headache. Do the right thing and don’t drink and drive.

Came here to see if the reviews were accurate. They’re pretty accurate. Loud music and sports on the multiple TVs. One big group of dudes on a Friday night but they left soon after we got there. Scantily clad waitresses. The sliders caught my attention because they had ‘black truffle essence’ which of course sounds amazing. Good fries. My boyfriend had the ribs which he said were tender. He later had an upset stomach though so I’m not sure I can recommend those. :/ #100in2015(#5)

Some points to keep in mind(as I won’t belabor any points) before you read my review: This place has been around now for something over 6 months. I was fortunate to attend a YEE here in September of last year I stopped in a couple times before the YEE and several times after the YEE Parking is a problem Okay– all that said: I’ve never had a bad experience going to Surrender. The waitresses are friendly and personable and they aim to please. Their uniforms are cute. They have a decent wine selection; surprising for a «local» sports bar type place. I’m not sure if they have a set wine menu or the bartender or manager selects he pours at random. So any visit will bring a surprise Their menu is interesting to say the least. They offer food other than your normal«sports bar» type menu and the food is good. The good wine I enjoyed has failed my memory to the creative names of the dishes they serve. But that said, let me close the food part of my review by saying it’s improved and its GOOD I’ve waited to write this review as I know over the months they had their own share of growing pains; in the kitchen and on the floor I’m sure. With time comes progress and they are definitely a site to visit and enjy

As we were cruising around trying to decide where to drink, we passed but this place and noticed it was new, so spur of the moment decided to stop by. We ordered Tokyo Teas which were kind of weak but still tasted pretty good. Of the food we tried: Pop dat Lamb: This was misoyaki style lamb which actually worked really well. Lamb was very soft and tender. ICU: This was a trio of Ahi poke, dried aku cerviche, and the sashimi of the day. The poke was average, cerviche was very salty, and sashimi was pretty good. Heart Attack: This was a braised beef nacho loaded with various toppings. The flavor was good it was just overall pretty salty… This place is a great little chill spot and has a lot of potential but of the things we tried wasn’t too impressed. But I have a feeling I need to try some of the other menu items so I think I’ll give them another shot sometime.

As I sit here on my second drink, I’m really vibing their music, the football on the television screens and their drinks. The waitress is really nice and their selection(recommendations) of drinks has been great! I really recommend their rib eye and sweet potato fries! So deelish! Also, I don’t know of their poke was just on the good side today, but it was melt in your mouth delicious! The«I*C*U» comes with poke, dried aku ceviche and sashimi of the day. I was lucky to have Uni which I tried for the first time and it melted like butter in my mouth. Keep the grey goose pear rollin! :)

Surrender is located on Keeamoku next to Champions. Its the same place that Five Oceans used to be. Parking can be difficult since the front lot is shared with Champions. There is street parking available on Young St. I personally prefer to cab when I go out. That way we don’t have to deal with parking or drinking and driving: P They don’t have any darts or pool since the venue is small. However they do offer karaōke($ 1 per song) and a jukebox that you can pick songs to play. They also have 1 private room that also has karaōke available(in case you are on the shy side and don’t want to sing in front of strangers). The Grub. [[ CARNEASADAFRIES $ 12 ]] [[ BABYBACKRIBS $ 14 ]] [[ AHIPOKE $ 14 ]] [[ AHICAKES $ 7 ]] [[ HOUSESALAD $ 7 ]] All the food was amazing! Definitely not your typical bar food. A lot of the food is on the smaller side because they are designed for more pupu or snack style. Which is great because that means I can order a variety of things to try before getting full: D Overall: The staff here is friendly and fun to talk with. The cook is amazing! Great job surrender!

My hubby planned my birthday celebration here, invited a few friends to join us. He reserved the karaōke room and then we eventually spilled out into the bar area later in the night for open mic. First time here…1st impressions nice bar area with cool back lighting. Spacious seating area with booths, high and low tables! Great atmosphere! Friendly staff! Stage area for open mic karaōke and a separate karaōke room. Bathroom is nice too… big and clean! Food was really good! We pretty much tried everything on the menu. My favorites were the prime rib which was juicy and topped with enoki mushrooms. The camarones were 3 huge shrimp with an amazing sauce we had to order 2 of those. First time trying quinoa salad and I loved it! The quinoa was mixed with tomato and avocado, who knew healthy tasted so good lol. Fried chicken had a yummy spicy sauce and the sliders were also very good! Had to try it all! I’m definitely coming back for more.
