Steph Chan

There is not much that gets more personal than buying a home. My husband and I have had the pleasure of working with Steph twice now. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND STEPH CHAN!!!
That is the short of it… and keep reading if you want our story:
Our initial meeting was totally by chance. Back in 2010, Steph was showing a house in the Kahala area that was way out of our price range… but we went to look anyway, as I imagine most dreamers do. She was friendly and not-​pushy, like many of the other agents we had met on our first few open-​house days. We looked around, and Steph asked us what we were in the market for, we had no idea. We told her that this home was way out of our price range… and she said no problem. She quickly asked about our range and was able to give us a list of places to check out before we walked out. We met a whole bunch of people that day, and at the end of the day, the person who stood out was Steph. My husband said, «we should call that Steph lady and ask her to help us with this.» So we did… she set up showings within our budget, and didn’t complain once when we changed areas of interest a few times… she helped us put in our first offer, and was patient and kind through the insanely stressful moments. We got our first place below asking and LOVED it! It was exactly what we needed and wanted. She helped us through the whole thing, going above and beyond to make sure I knew what was happening every step of the way. She was so helpful and wonderful, start to finish, finding a mortgage broker, setting up the inspection, everything; even after we had moved in when I had questions about the home policy and moving questions. We had made a friend that we knew we would cherish.
Fast Forward 4 years… and here we are, ready to move up in the world and attempt to find a home… so, we called Steph. She picked right up with us and we went house hunting… different market these days, but somehow, she managed to get us a great house that we just closed on. She was fair and friendly with the seller/agent…and helped to make the house on the market a home in our hearts. The closing date ended up being at a time when I was going to be out of town. Steph helped coordinate to close earlier and since the seller didn’t want to release the keys until the original closing date, Steph got the keys for us, she even bought us a bike lock for the front gate so it would be secure until I got back. Like, I said… she’s awesome.
We are so excited for the future we can have in this home… It wouldn’t have been possible without Steph.

Steph assisted us with both the sale and purchase of our homes. She took the time to thoroughly explain each step in the process so we could make the best decision for our family. Steph also went the extra mile in helping us find a temporary rental and offering to tend to some of our personal needs regarding the house. Her knowledge of the current market and the negotiation process enabled us to get the price we wanted for our old home and a more than reasonable purchase price for our new home.
