Comedy night on New Year’s Eve, not to bad. Tough crowd but witty, well-prepared humor. Crowd pretty welcoming, second time here.

Stopped here for drinks before hitting up 678 on Christmas Day. Not only was the bartender friendly and happy to hang out with us, the drinks were great as well. A couple came in and sang, great band. Make sure to check out awkward carrot man while you’re there!

Do I think this place is in the best location ever yes. «But why Patrick?» good question. 678 is right next door and always has a line, which is how I discovered this gem. We had a few drinks and jammed out to some live music and lived the dream for about an hour until our table was ready. this place is a really good time if you can snag a table early and relax and drink some beers. Its not huge which is cool. If you get lucky enough to get a table you could drink the night away with some sweet tunes and not ever realize it. Went here a couple times now and will return more times to come.

When you’re looking for something to do that’s fun but low key, ya need to head over to Station. It’s a small bar that’s pretty hip with the lighting, graffiti covered walls, and collection of figurines behind the bar. Here, it’s all about variety. This place has a night for free karaōke, open mic, comedy, live music and on Sundays, they’ve been trying out different decades every month for the theme. Loving it! Harold and Shelby are the bartenders on Sundays and they are a fantastic duo. Shelby holds down the fort with her know how of all the alcohols and Harold is the crazy one making people toast with lyrics from the Lion King. Always a good time with those two. ;) Only down side is the parking– there is none. Gotta find street parking or a lot to pay in. And I love the intimate feel of Station, but wish it were just a bit bigger so there was more room to perform and gather crowds. But, small downsides for a great time with great drinks and great peeps. Make sure to stop by!

My friends are regulars here and have gotten to know the bartenders and owner pretty well. Their open mic nights on Mondays are pretty fun and the crowd is always welcoming. It’s good to just chill out and listen to some jams. Lychee coolers are amazingly tasty and with a $ 2 hot dog, it’s a winner. Side tip for the dudes, most of the female bartenders have really hot girlfriends. And I’ve seen plenty of guys embarrass themselves trying to hit on them and get shit down … So … Just an FYI. ;) We usually park at ala moana and walk the one block over — not so bad guys!

Cool intimate place. The bartenders are funny, down to earth and very accommodating. I had one of their specials, the lychee cooler for $ 5. My boyfriend doesn’t even like lychee but he liked the drink.

My friend Mel N. and I enjoy coming here for our Turnt Up Tuesday night out the first Tuesday of the month. We come to watch Smooth Remedy perform. Station Bar have different entertainment nightly such as stand up comedy and trivia so I would check ahead of time if that’s what you’re looking for. Intimate little bar with your standard selection of alcohol. Nothing fancy but that’s usually how I like it. The bartender Tiffany is awesome too. She’s so much fun! This kinda place would warrant 3 – 4 stars but the chill music and awesome staff on the Tuesdays we come makes it a 5 star establishment for me. I dig it.

Great dive bar with awesome prices. Check the Facebook for events if you’re picky. If you enjoy Jameson, this is the spot.

I had a blast last night for Kat McDowell’s performance at Station! It’s a small place, but it’s filled with great energy. The people there all just want to enjoy and have fun. Apparently every Tuesday night is acoustic night? I think. Overall, i had a great experience and was inspired by all the talent that went on stage to perform.

The first time I went to The Station, it was to see my high school classmates’ band, Smooth Remedy, play live! After that, everyone seemed to discover the place as well! There was a Unilocal Christmas Karaōke Party, a fundraiser w/Da Push-O-Verse & Unilocal Hawaii CM Emi Hart, and then I kept going back to see Smooth Remedy as well! Parking: No designated parking. You’ll kind of have to wing this. There used to be a paid parking lot behind the building & across the street(near Home Bar), but they recently closed it and started building something else in its place. As for where to park now, street parking is probably going to be your best bet. It’s kind of rough. Venue: It’s a pretty small place, but not in a bad way. Depending on the night you go, you may encounter different set-ups of seating. Generally, there’s 3 – 4 booths, bench seating below the front window, 4 or so hightops w/stools near the bar, and bar counter seating. I actually love the walls the most. You walk into the place and immediately think it’s really dark and dim, but when you look around, there’s fun art painted on the wall. The section behind the performing area in particular is full of graffiti-esque art and tons of color! Drinks: There’s no food, but there are some great cheap drink specials! I can’t remember off the top of my head now how much it costs… but it’s less than $ 5! Otherwise, they have a full bar and a pretty friendly staff! Overall: It’s not my first choice of bar just because it’s pretty inconvenient for me, but I always enjoy myself when I go there!

I dig this place; right now the band is on Ventures & twangy Surf Kine’ Cali tones! R&R extravaganza & brewskies! GIRLS! Get rid of the table right in front of the stage center PLEASE! It blocks us off if band-viewing @ a booth!

This is THEE spot. I’m telling you, this is the spot. [dabs off pickled mango sauce off of shirt] Right, back to hooking you into this review. Need a place to chill with your tight circle of homies? Need happy hour to feel like you’re happy every hour? [seek help and or counseling] Do you like live bands and thrive on listening to a wide spectrum of musical genres? Like to enjoy all of the above in a cozy setting with street art to mesmerize the eyes? Well then you’ve come to the right place. Enter The Station. You won’t find another intimate bar filled with great music, great talent, and great characters. PLACE: landmarks to know that you’re in the correct zone will be 678 [which The Station is right next to] or the Hawaii Convention Center. The signs and venue itself can be EASILY missed, so use your opticals effectively or just use your earballs and listen out for loud music during the night. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re not familiar with town, so save yourself from guessing on whether or not your car gets towed by the end of the night by doing what I do. Park your car at a spot you know is 24⁄7 [ex: Don Quijote] and walk your ass on over. This saves you from parking fees and validation hassles. You’re welcome. AMBIANCE: clean and new. The dry walls feel hella new, and the fine street art – by the way, totally transforms the place – smells as if it was just completed on the day you walk in. The place is tight and cozy, but in such a good way. It keeps you in proximity with the ones you know and the ones you don’t know, just the way it needs to be for a place of performance. Anti-socialists be warned while in this space, you will conform whether you like it or. The bathrooms are gender friendly, you pick which one you go into(laughs). I think. When the night gets a bit hardcore as far as music goes, heed warning, the dance floor can morph into a mosh-pit instantaneously pending on which night you choose to come here. When you start noticing a good amount of drunkards forming a circle and the screams by lead vocalists beginning to sway the crowd, protect yourself immediately. Knowing what happens before, during, and after a mosh-pit can be vital at this pivotal moment. With that, you could prob survive any punk show with just a few bruises or two. EXPERIENCE: fun as hell with close friends only. To know the shows that’ll happen there at specific times, please follow or friend them on FB, Insta-G, or whatever else consumes your soul. FIN.

I came here for the live musical performances of Emi Hart and John LeBlanc, and Da Push-O-Verse supporting MDA Hawaii! With only a $ 5 donation, it was so awesome! Emi sings so well, John plays so well, and the Push-O-Verse is really good and is lots of fun! Parking on this eventful Friday night was not too bad. I was able to park near 24 Hour Fitness, which is right next door and walk over. I entered and saw so many familiar faces. Lots of Unilocalers and friends were in attendance. A short time later, I sat down in an open seat and enjoyed the music. I can’t say how the drinks are here, because no one came by to take my drink order. I did not want to risk losing my seat by trying to get a drink at the bar. I really don’t mind though and I saved money! I highly recommend coming here to experience the live entertainment. Happens just about every night!

Really enjoy station! The bartenders are fun and helpful. There things happening every night but it’s not overwhelming. Gotta love it. They restrooms are small but clean and space improves every time I go in there. I really love the booths they set up. The lighting is cool and Eco friendly!(They use led stage lights and CFLs for the others) The hotdogs are cheap and a perfect snack for drinking. Overall great place!

I’ve heard about this place but I never knew where it was. I’ve driven by but never noticed the signs. This cute lil bar was hiding from me! I’ve heard parking is a bit of a hassle(I think there’s a paid lot across of the convention center). We caught a cab so we didn’t have to hassle with finding parking. But once you’re in there, this bar is really cute. There was a couch, 4 booths, a few high tops with bar stools and stools at the bar. There was a small stage for a live band(thank you to Station for having live bands on the weekend). There are black walls with colorful graffiti painted on the walls. I really like the décor. The bartender was quick and helpful(cute according to a male friend) and they had drink specials. Jamesons and fireballs were $ 5 that night. I can’t remember the others. They don’t have a kitchen but they do offer $ 2 hot dogs and $ 3 for little packs of beef jerky. Don’t come here if you’re hungry but I’m glad they have something to snack on. Seems like they have events or specials every night. An open mic night, free karaōke nights… check them out on other nights if you’re in the area.

The black cod is absolutely to die for. Unagi is a huge piece of tender unagi. Salmon with avacado had so much flavor OMG. It’s a great Japanese restaurant. The steaks are simply the draw but skip the steaks and go for the fish. Service is also 5 stars

Friendly service, decently priced drinks and specials, and what appears to be a rotating lineup of live music and stand-up comedy. How can you go wrong? The setting was small and cozy, with an urban ambiance that made me want to throw an after-hours party in there. The location is central, across the Convention Center, and since we walked, I can’t exactly say what the parking situation must be. Nonetheless, we had a fantastically friendly bartender who offered *just* the right amount of conversation, and a great couple’s night out. We’ll be back!

I’ve checked out Station online before and the first thing I thought when I walked in was, «whoa, this place is smaller than I thought it would be.» However, it isn’t so small it is uncomfortable, actually, it’s quite comfortable. With black walls with graffiti style art, Station has an urban feel. Black leather couches line the walls with a few bar tables near the bar. The night my partner and I went, they had a pretty good DJ spinning some good ‘80s and ‘90s music. Drinks are average in both taste and price. They offer $ 2 hot dogs, however, I did not partake. The only downside is they charged cover the night I went and I didn’t feel that was necessary — the place was pretty empty when we arrived and still had not filled up an hour and a half later when we left.
