Starbucks

Oh happy days. No lines, noise just pure Hawaiian music playing in the background. Love to come here and enjoy the locals go back in forth from one end of the shopping center to the other. It’s nothing but perfection on this sunny day. Lucky we live HI

Service personnel (cash register/​order taker) need to learn how to smile! Both registers open but only one takes orders then passes off to the other to ring up???

Everything is awesome on this sunny, hot Easter Sunday on the east side! Stopped by Starbucks and could not decide what cold non-​coffee beverage to get… so asked the cashier (keep in mind I would never do this if it was busy — or there was a line)…
She recommended the lemon ale with peach, or a black tea lemonade topped with strawberry purée (half sweetened) — say what?! Is there a secret Starbucks menu that I don’t know about? I love iced tea! So yes please! Trenta please!
Delighted with the recommendation. All 31 Oz of it! Hubby got his regular PTL, half sweetened. I’d say our drinks made this Easter a little more colorful!

Went to Starbucks the other morning (on July 5) and ordered one of my favorite drinks at Starbucks.
The Drink:
Iced, Tall, Extra Thai, Soy, Thai Latte. This drink is not for someone who is on a diet. That sweeten condensed milk is ALL sugar goodness. I like to order it with soy milk because it gives it a creamy taste.
The Service:
Yup, it was just service. Nothing excellent, nothing bad. I was disappointed with the service regardless. When I go to Starbucks, I like to see the smiling, friendly faces. (And it wasn’t even that early in the am!) Although, the barista ringing up my order seemed friendly (a bit shy — I think she was new, but had a smile on her face which is a plus). But I did notice that this particular Starbucks is not as friendly as the others. I guess it starts with the manager. He doesn’t seem overly friendly. Not good for Starbucks service. I use to work at Starbucks so I’m familiar with the expectations. I have to say that the barista got my drink right (they wrote it down right and made it well). The person who made my drink, barista, had her hair tied back but it was pulled forward and over her right shoulder. This is a cleanliness issue. Her hair can get into people’s drinks.
The Décor:
This Starbucks is a little smaller than the others I’ve been too. There are some comfortable seats to sit on and small tables to work at both inside and outside. There is a very nice sitting area over by the marina that is very close to this Starbucks. Have your drinks over by the marina… it’s a pretty nice view.
The Quick Tip:
If you want your drink hot or cold, note to say «Hot» or «Iced» before you place your order. They grab the cup and write the order on the cup. It makes it easier and quicker for them. Double check to make sure they got your order right. Sometimes it’s loud behind the counter so it is sometimes to properly hear the customers. Beside, it sucks to order a drink, pay $ 5 bucks, only for it to be made wrong.
Reason for the medium rating:
It was more on the service than the drink. Otherwise if the service was great (ie, better greeting by the baristas), they would have gotten 4.5 stars.

Luv, luv, luv this starbucks. I’m in/​out quickly and the baristas are always friendly.
