Bought this through Expedia. I feel we overpaid for what was offered. $ 378 for two people, of which $ 60 was to upgrade to private table dining. Sounds fancier than it is, as they really pack the people in. They offer champagne when you arrive, but discovered it was non-alcoholic once we got it and tasted it. Really? Also two drink tickets are included, we ordered long islands thinking we would get our monies worth, but not much alcohol in those, didn’t feel a thing, that’s kind of hard to do with a Long Island, but these bartenders managed it somehow. You can order more cocktails at $ 10 a drink, no thanks. The service for drinks was so slow. Luckily the food was tasty and the entertainment was good. Was really hoping for more of an upscale experience for the price, lesson learned. The table to our left was so close to us that the gal sprayed me and my guest with lobster juice when she cracked into it. They did pick us up at our hotel, so that helped take away some of the experience of overpaying. We made the most of it and got some good pics out on the deck as the sun set. Overall we had a decent time, just looked more glamorous on the brochure. 3 stars for the 3 star dinner package.

We attended the Easter cruise which was very crowded! People we push and cutting in line to board the ship. We boarded the ship and the asked us if we wanted drinks and my friend ordered a ginger ale and it never came, instead they brought ginger pills? We all laughed. We keep asking for a waiter but no one came. The Easter egg hunt was fun! The lunch was also tasty. The service could have been better!

We got stopped by a gentleman while we were walking and he offered us $ 175 off of whatever activity we wanted to do. We chose the steak and lobster dinner cruise. It came out to $ 140 for 2 people. We had a bus come pick us up at our hotel. The tables are really close to each other, it was like we were sharing a table with the couple next to us. Other than that service was good and so was the food. They have a firework show Friday nights.

Early on a beautiful sunny Sunday my normal routine of running and washing my car was quickly taken away. It all started out like this… «Eh get ready, you going with me.» I then ask, «where we going, a Unilocal Event!» «No but can make ‘um one.» So i quickly got ready so that I no get lickins from da kine. Was asked to drive and proceed to Pier 8, The Star of Honolulu for an early morning whale watching tour. What!!! Really? Well i was a good sport about it and we got our name badges. We were then led onboard by the crew and was asked to take a photo which I assume is that souvenir photo you pay for at the end. As we waited on the 3rd deck for a safety brief we were offered buffet breakfast which cost $ 12 for adults and $ 9 for children. We passed only because i had Manapua from Island Manapua before getting here. We then set sail which was a plus for me since I am a sailor and actually miss being out at sea. A lil different in that im not the one catering to the guest this time. I am the guest. So once we broke from the harbor and made a left towards Diamond Head there were already sightings of whales. The captain of the boat made it towards that direction in which another pod of whales surfaced closer to us. They became our focus the next 1 ½ hours of this tour. The naturalist explaining the behavior of the humpback whales, told us they usually stay underneath at an average of 8 – 15 minutes, but some whales can stay underwater for up to 45 minutes. As the tour went on, our pod of whales began to give us a show. Flapping their fins to jumping out of the water were a great sight. In the event we didn’t see a whale, then a whale check would have been handed out to us which basically says to return on another date until we see a whale. Pretty cool deal. Humpback whales migrate down here in the islands from November-April. The whales come from the pacific northwest for several reasons. This was a cool Experience and would recommend to others that have not experienced this to do so. It was worth the change in my Sunday routine. BTW… The souvenir photo costs $ 20 Mahalo!

Unfortunately this was not a good experience for me. We got seated at the bottom back end of the boat and I was sea sick the whole time. The waves were so bad they should have cancelled it that day and given us our money back. The room we were in was closed off and very stuffy, not good for when people are nauseous from the rocking boat. The food was not good and I couldn’t even walk to get it because I was falling into everyone from how bad the boat was rocking. A fly flew into my drink and died so I asked for a new drink and they apologized, but never came back with another drink. Eventually I went up to the top deck and say by a window the whole time. The fresh air really helped but it was extremely crowded up there. The show was very nice and took my mind off of the water but it only lasted for ten minutes, which was disappointing. For me it was a wasted night in Hawaii.

We enjoyed our cruise!!! we bought the sunset dinner cruise 3 stars and upgraded to celebration plan for window seating and photo for two. On our way there, we were greated by hula dancers. For dinner they served crab legs, steak, veggies, etc. The crab legs are awesome and it was unlimited! my husband and myself shared 2 baskets! Mai Tai is very good, a little bit on the sweeter side. Poi bread is vdry good-purplish color very unique. We had a great server-jacob!I gave him 5 stars for excellent service! They had shows too!!! hula dancers, tribal dance and towards the end, the servers danced too! Great singer too on stage! You will be entertained the whole time. Very romantic view as the sun sets! we included hotel pick up too so no stress all the way! We will come back again!
