This place is a total joke, and an embarrassment to the name«Seattle». I realize that the ‘Coffee Devil”(which I refuse to mention by name), bought them out and shut down all of the company owned stores, but if you are going to continue to operate under the same name, at least try and keep things as close to the original as possible. I ordered a white chocolate mocha, which in no way resembled a true WCM from SBC. What they served me was concocted with nasty tasting syrup from a bottle, had no whipped cream, and no white chocolate shavings!!! WTH??? And to top it off, the guy behind the counter with the lip piercings, had a terrible attitude and no idea of what customer service is. After this experience, I couldn’t care less if I ever see another Seattle’s Best again… Damn you Coffee Devil!!!

Located below Marriott Resort and Spa in Kalakua Avenue right in the heart of Waikiki. I ordered mocha and it was served hot and fresh. The ladies there where really courteous. The mocha was good enough but Starbucks still better.

I stayed at the Marriott and got two free drinks at this coffee place. Such a let down! I got a chai tea latte w soy milk and it tasted like an horchata w a lot cinnamon… the cashier wasn’t friendly and it was overall not a good experience. :(

Great coffee, friendly service. Staying at the Marriott Beach Resort and so this place is located right down stairs. The iced coconut latte is yummy!

I was super excited to see a Seattle’s Best coffee shop while on vacation here in Oahu. I was so excited that I ordered a medium size hot chocolate a(instead of the small). Unfortunately, my excitement ended there. The lady serving was very friendly. The hot chocolate however, was severely lacking that exceptional taste I always had whenever I ordered a hot chocolate in Seattle. They used to make hot chocolate with actual chocolate bits. It used to be rich with flavor and topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. When you get to the end of the drink, you find a small pool of melted chocolate at the bottom of the cup. Everything was a HUGE disappointment. The hot chocolate tastes similar to a watered down powdered packet topped with whipped cream. What a bummer. I gave one star for getting my hopes up and one for the nice lady/service.

Hawaii is an American state and I understand that there are a lot of Japanese tourists, but I find it offensive to have the advertisements stands out side of the coffee place purely written in Japanese. What happened to the international language called English to be used in the American state called Hawaii?

Apparently these people are too incompetent to understand what an itemized receipt is. I asked for an Itemized receipt for work they told me they couldn’t print it. They don’t «do» itemized receipts. I told her u was there two days ago and received one. Then they go on and tell me the system changed two weeks ago and can’t print any and like I told them I received one two days prior. Finally the manager comes out and prints me an itemized receipt. The other employee was so rude and just kept yelling we don’t do that. So unprofessional. Never coming here again. FYI Starbucks is around the block.

Cons: Coffee and breakfast sandwich were just ok. Awful customer service! The girl acted very annoyed that she had a customer… like oh I’m sorry to interrupt your day but don’t you work here!?! As if she did me a favor to sell me a $ 4+ cup of coffee. Pros: The place is clean, plenty of seating, sandwiches were ready quick, and free wifi.

When I order the lady acted annoyed. And when the other lady messed up a STEAMED milk she was also annoyed! I hate Starbucks but I would have rather gone there

It is located next to the Marriott beach resort & spa. It is clean and has plenty of seatings. There is outdoor seating area with ocean view. The place is spot clean! For some reason, they are not busy. like Starbucks a few blocks toward the zoo! I always drink Starbucks because we don’t have nearby Seattle ’ s Best coffee… but since we stay at the Marriott and don’t want waste our time in line at Starbucks, we come here. The staff is very friendly and pleasant! The coffee is fresh and strong… totally wakes me up in the morning or mid day! I actually like their coffee better than Starbucks since it still maintains the integrity and flavor of coffee without much stuff added to it. There is assorted pastries, snacks, sandwiches, etc. The price is about the same as Starbucks! So, yea we will come here since we know where they located… If you want to waste your beautiful day in line at Starbucks, then this is not a place for you.

When Seattle’s Best was bought by Starbucks, most of the company-owned store locations were closed down, leaving a sprinkling of franchise-owned locations. So they are rare to find these days. Nearby San Francisco, there are none at all in the area. So I was delighted to find one here, and definitely had to visit. Talking to the barista, apparently there are only three Seattle’s Best left in Hawaii, all run by the same franchisee, and all in the Waikiki area of Honolulu. This place has a nice prime location right on Honolulu’s main Waikiki strip, Kalakaua Ave, across from the Waikiki Beach. They serve drinks and breakfast/lunch items. Only one person was manning the ship when I was there, so I had to wait a few minutes while she prepared another person’s sandwich. But then she made my cold Mint Chocolate Chip Mocha in record time. It was good, but I must admit I prefer Frappuccinos; however, for those that prefer their iced blended drinks to be more subtly sweet, these might do the trick. Blessedly, it’s air-conditioned, which my non-tropical Northern California body much appreciated(takes a while to adjust to the tropical heat/humidity). Nothing special architecturally, but there is some outside seating mixed in with the palm trees out front. And inside, everything seemed scrubbed and like-new: in great condition(and of course, lots of red). Decent amount of seating, and a quiet, subdued atmosphere: definitely the place for studying or novel writing! Overall, a great place to cool down over coffee or a sandwich.

Over priced. I went there three times. 1) First encounter yesterday in the afternoon, I had a local girl barista. No one behind the cash register to greet you. I heard someone talking and thought it was a customer. I realized after staring around the place that it was the barista talking on the company phone to a friend or something. She took my order and made my while still talking on the company phone. My coffee was watered down. Wtf? 2) Went this morning to a hapa looking barista. My coffee was watered down again. 3) Went the last time and waited 10 mins because no one was there. Im assuming bathroom run. But why isnt there two people? There was 4 other people waiting. Again, watered ice coffee. Not worth the time. Just go to Burger King across the street.

This was my daily early morning snack while I stayed at the Waikiki Beach Marriott since this Seattle’s Best Coffee is located in its lobby near hotel registration. The auntie that works there was super energetic and got people’s orders to them in an efficient manner. I can appreciate that. We may be on vacation but we dont wanna wait in a long line if we dont have to. Service was quick and friendly. That’s all I ask for first thing in the morning. Every morning I got a plain bagel with philly cream cheese… They toast it super hot so by the time I get back to my room, it’s still really warm. I like the crumb coffee cake a lot. I coulda had one of those every day, as well. The everything bagel was ok but plain was better in my opinion. The lemon bar was also good… The bagel breakfast sandwich was too oily for my liking. It was a toasted bagel and in the middle was egg, sausage, tomato slice and cheese. I only got it once. I know it’s unheard of but no coffee drinks were sampled by me. I was all about the baked goods and toasted bagels. Check them out while at Waikiki Beach Marriott. Super convenient. Glad they had an SBC there.

I don’t know if this is the right café. I thought the name of the street was Ohua. ANYWHO, I got a really good tuna sandwich here and the coffee was fresh and hot. Way better than Starsux and much friendlier barista — Amanda– I will be back when I must go to Waikiki.

We needed somewhere to sit while waiting out the rain, so we decided to stop off at Seattle’s best for coffee. I ordered the caramel ice coffee. I’m not sure why Seattle’s best coffee is so strong and bitter but it is! The caramel had no effect on the sweetness of this drink. The coffee was just too strong, even with the melting ice to dilute the coffee. Service here was nice and friendly though. Its just this coffee does not taste good to me. And for the cost of $ 7, I expected so much more.

With the Seattle’s best’s becoming harder to find in Waikiki than a an actual entertaining street entertainer(how many painted dudes do we need on one street?), I felt like it was a huge treat when I stumbled on this one inside the Marriott’s lobby. I should preface this review with the fact that I know next-to-nothing about coffee and I rather eat food out of a vending machine at a gas station than a coffee place. I do love Hot Chocolate and for my money, Seattle’s Best does it best. They put more decorations on the beverage than you’ll find anywhere and they put a lot of care into the product. The kiddo had the hot chocolate and I ventured outside my comfort zone and tried the red velvet frozen coffee thing. It was really good, but like I said before, I know nothing about coffee. I’d order it again and the guy working there was really friendly too.

I was very disappointed with Seattle’s Best. The muffin and danish I got there were both stale and very limited in additions such as the cinnamon and sugar as well as the cream cheese on the danish. They were both dried out(on more than one day that I ordered) and very disappointing. The coffee was not very fresh and the experience was overall a lackluster one.

This has to be the only Seattle’s Best Coffee where the barista who get’s off leaves the store open and a note saying«Be back in a few» when her sift ends and the next barista fails to show on time. eg, I’ve rarely walked into an empty business! Inevitably, the late barista shows up and makes a great latte. Funny experience, and yes, I went back!

I had an hour to kill while the hubs got a birthday massage upstairs at Paul Brown, so I settled into the comfy chairs at Seattle’s Best, ordered a Pumpkin latte, and read for an hour. My pumpkin latte wasn’t super pumkin-y, but did have a delicious sprinkle of sugary pumpkin spice on top of the foam which I LOVED. It was also perfectly made, not too hot, not too cold — and the employees didn’t seem to mind my camping in the chair despite no other patrons being in the café. I’d definitely hit this place up again if I was in Waikiki. Yum! Unilocal 365 Challenge #19/365(yikes, behind much?!?)

Definitely not the best Seattle’s Best I’ve been to. We decided to get a quick inexpensive breakfast here and then walk it down to the beach to eat with some scenery. Hubby had an egg sandwich, I opted for the blueberry muffin. I had an ice coffee which was fine. My muffin was so dry that I questioned what decade it had actually been baked in. Not even the pigeons seemed too enthusiastic about it. Hubby said his egg sandwich was kind of gross. How do you screw up an egg sandwich? When my dad ordered his coffee the cashier openly gave him a «what planet are you from???» look when she couldn’t figure out what he wanted right away. Needless to say, we only visited once.
