Quality — We had to discard the food immediately; the pad thai smelled rotten past two days. Service — very friendly staff Cleanliness — not clean Atmosphere — standard for fast food

This Chinese restaurant has been steadily improving and growing on me. Overall they have tasty Chinese food and good presentation. FOOD The Kau Yuk had melt in your mouth pork and soft taro. The Honey Walnut Shrimp is one of my favorite dishes here, it is more on the mayo side, but I love mayo, hello. The Char Siu Fried Rice is very flavorful, a bit oily, but I don’t care, it’s absolutely delicious. I did not like the Chicken Fried Rice as it was bland and flavorless. The Salt & Pepper Jumbo Shrimp is crispy, fishy, but garlicky. The Gon Lau Mein is also delicious topped with generous amounts of char siu slices and green onions. The Salt and Pepper Pork Chops are very garlicky, not my preference. I’ve tasted better elsewhere. The Sweet and Sour Pork is generously sauced and expectedly good. The string beans & ground pork which is usually on the specials menu is one of the best healthier Chinese dishes I’ve tried here. I also like to get their Gau Gee soup because there are large pieces of Gau Gee that fill me up every time. SERVICE Fairly quick. Some can be slight aloof, but most of the staff is friendly, especially after you become a regular. ENVIRONMENT Located in the Salt Lake Shopping Center. Typical Chinese restaurant décor. Glass tables, Chinese art adorn the walls. Clean. CONCLUSION Total of four stars because although the food is quite tasty, the portions are smaller than other restaurants. But, this is still my go to Chinese restaurant at least once a month. It’s definitely the best one in the area.

The food tasted delicious until we found a roach in the beef bitter melon dish(my favorite for this restaurant). Won’t be coming back.

Really good food with affordable prices. The servings are also very nicely sized. It is traditional Cantonese style cuisine and about the closest thing to LA and SF style chinese food. Staff is polite and service/décor was good for a chinese restaurant. This is our new go to spot for quick dinners when we are in a rush. We used to go to Wah Kung all the time but the last few times was hit or miss. My only only knock on them is that the Ma Po Tofu did not have a minced pork option and is was blazing hot one time. I personally like the salted fish fried rice which you can hardly find here in hawaii and is usually has no fish in it but this place had a decent amount of fish. Salt and pepper pork chops and garlic chicken over cake noodles are standards for us. Eggplant with garlic was good but a little too sweet for me last time. If you need a good quick meal, try this place out.

My husband and I ate here for two weeks a day or two out of the week before we he got FOODPOISONING. The food had been decent up until my husband ordered the CHICKENFRIEDRICE. He ordered the shrimp fried rice previously with no problems. After eating almost half of the chicken fried rice, he started complaining thinking that he ate too much. My husband NEVER says that. But long story short he ended up throwing everything he ate up in the middle of the night 5 hours later. We will never eat here again!

Initially I was Harding to Target with the family but we all know going shopping on a empty stomach is a bad idea so we stopped in. We must have come just after the dinner rush as we were sat right away. There’s a bit of a language barrier between us and the server but ya get used to it out here. Food arrived quickly which was satisfying since we were all hungry. My father and I both ordered the Mongolian barbecue with pork fried rice and some spring rolls, my ma ordered chicken with snow peas. We all enjoyed our meals very much and the bill was fair for 3 people. I like the traditional Chinese feel of this place when it’s hard to find true Chinese restaurants in Hawaii. Pros-Free parking, quick service, good flavor, affordable prices. Cons– Interaction with staff was fairly non existent. Overall we are satisfied, would come back and would recommend it to a friend.

I eat here quite often, the Old Chinese man is relatively friendly, although as other people have mentioned, it can take a while to get service, and he’s usually the only one working there, while his wife cooks. On Weekends i think their kids help serve. I’ve had a variety of dishes, everything from the Peking Duck, to my personal favorite — Chicken with Cashews, Fried Rice, etc, I’ve never been disappointed by anything here or gotten ill or found bugs like other reviewers… and like I said I eat here quite often, probably twice a month if not more frequently. In this area its really the only option, because the Chinese buffet down near the Stadium is super terrible, and the only other chinese place is Panda Express. Seating is fine, they do have high chairs, and they can accommodate larger parties. They are also quick to serve up the food.

Never buying from here again! I found dead bugs in my food with legs and everything. Chow mein doesnt even taste that great & they had to add a roach in it?!! Watch what you eat people!

Haven’t tried any other Chinese Restaurants that may sell General Tso Chicken but I was recommended this place and even though it’s no place like home, it’s definitely the closest. Gave it 3 stars because it was once or twice where my chicken seem bland with hardly any sauce at all. Maybe you’d just have to be specific with how you want it. But if you’re looking for a place that’ll give you your General Tso Chicken fix, come here! Others seem to like it too so it must be something about it.

Cleanest Chinese restaurant been to. Had their crispy gau gee before & best I’ve had, so had to try their other dishes. Seated right away, had the dinner for 3 which could actually feed 5. It came with soup, shrimp canton, beef broccolli, cold ginger chicken, gau gee mein, & rice. Delicious. $ 42, No msg. Will definitely be back. Very accommodating They Let us switch the ginger chicken for orange since the kids didn’t want the ginger(awe). must try if in the salt lake area

Pros +The food is good most days. +Affordable. +They have take-out & it’s quick. Neutral *The person serving your food gives off the vibe that they don’t really care about you as they are busy. Not a problem for me but maybe others may want a more«personal» service where they’ll chat. Cons –The food can be wildly inconsistent in preparation/taste. –Pretty oily. Conclusion I used to come here occasionally but with the inconsistency in the food(bland/too squishy like play-dough) I find myself coming here less and less but it’s affordable and will hit that craving for Chinese food.

Came in here late at night for a late night dinner with my coworker. We ordered 3 dishes which were more than enough for the both of us. We had the sizzling black pepper beef, the sizzling Mongolian beef and the chicken with black bean sauce. The black pepper beef was really delicious. My other friend recommend that we try that and she wasn’t wrong; it was really good. The other 2 dishes were just OK. I think I would try something else the next time, but for sure order the pepper beef.

If your ever in Salt Lake and craving Chinese, this is the place to come. I love this place because the food is yummy. When you walk in, it may take a little time before you get a «hello, welcome, how many.» This Chinese Restaurant is of course operated by Chinese workers. However they will understand what your saying when you order. There is a private lot so there are tons of parking. This place is located next to longs. Which is a plus because you may buy alcohol from longs and come right over to this Chinese restaurant. This place is a decent size and pretty clean for the most part. Every time I came here the service was quick and great. We usually order the Hot and Sour soup. This soup is very addicting. Also we order the sizzling steak which is amazing. Its very tender when you bite into it. Its a must try. There are many things to choose from, which I have not tried yet. When I get to it Ill will post more to let you all know what is good and what is not.

The food here was terrible. We started out with hot and sour soup, it was bland and the chicken pieces were tough. I had the dinner platter, it was not good at all. It came out very quickly, when the soup came out, maybe it had been sitting around all day. I substituted with white rice and even that tasted old, the spare ribs were very dry, the chow mein tasted liked undercooked top ramen with canned chicken, and the pork was horrible. I took a tiny bite out of each thing and left it at the end of our table. My husband got the beef and broccoli with fried rice and it was okay, however you’re better off going to Panda Express, it tastes better there. The service was not good either. They didn’t ask how the food was or come to our table at all after the food was dropped off. Had they, they would have seen we didn’t touch an entire plate. My husband had to wave someone down for the check and she looked at our full plate and said«a box» and I said«no» and that was it. Didn’t ask if I liked it, no mention of removing it from the check. It’s not very expensive, so I guess you get what you pay for. I’d give 0 stars if I could. Definitely do not come here if you’re looking for good food.

We ordered take out. We had the Char Siu fried rice, Pork chop w/salt pepper, crispy chicken, and crispy gau gee w/cake noodle =a few cents short of $ 40. Enough food to last the two of us for days. Hubs liked another restaurant’s crispy chicken then here. I enjoyed the pork chop especially with chopped garlic on it. Char siu fried rice was ok, as well as the crispy gau gee and cake noodle. It was our first time eating their food, so consensus was we would eat here again. I called in our order and based on the other reviews went to pick it up about 25 minutes after. It was ready and correct.

Love the food. Specially the shrimp and fried rice. I liked everything about it. From portions to the customer service and even the music. Definitely will come back. And only $ 18.75 for food for too and we are more than full. lol. Great place.

tried this place for the first time tonight and it satisfied our Chinese crave! the location is great and there’s lots of parking. the restaurant looks very spacious and has a lot of tables to accommodate more diners and large parties. as soon as you enter the door, they have their daily specials on a white board on the right of ya. the staff is quick to greet their diners and automatically seats you right away. they also got us our menus, waters and hot tea quickly. their menu looks like most Chinese restaurants but I really appreciated the flat screen tv that displayed a slideshow of all of their food items! we ordered the Mongolian Beef for $ 7.95. it had a pepper icon next to its name on the menu, but it wasn’t spicy or hot at all, which is good because I’m weak sauce and will tear up at anything too hot for me lol. this dish was really good. it was tender and the sauce was delicious. and I love cooked onions. we also got the Chicken with Broccoli for $ 7.25. this dish was also very ono. chicken, broccoli and sauce was on point! the only thing I had an issue with was my brown rice. it was really dry and I’m already not so handy dandy with chopsticks so I had a hard time eating it(yes, I’m a shameful Asian!). but other than that, the food came out fairly quickly and we left that place within an hour with happy tummies! ooh and they also give you a fortune cookie when they deliver the check. friendly staff, quick service, affordable prices and good food… what else could you ask for? #9 out of 100 Unilocal Reviews in 2015

Really good Chinese food. Big menu offers a variety of dishes including duck. They do not deliver but no Chinese food delivers(unless through third party service). Anyhoo… this place is conveniently located near AMR and surrounding communities best choice for take out. Orders typically take 35 minutes to prepare so call ahead. Plenty of parking. Big portions. Ordered crab Rangoon, beef and broccoli, orange chicken, general tsos chicken, and beef lomein, and fried rice. Oh the crab Rangoon was like food porn so sexy all greasy in a brown bag that screamed I’m so bad but I taste so good! And it did… Jam packed with flavor, loaded with cheese and actual crab pieces. Ooh wee! Beef and broccoli was okay. Not bad but not over the top good. I can say this for the rest of the food. I’m used to the northeastern Chinese food where the lomein is soupy noodly and a little thicker. But honestly it’s being picky the food here is good and this place is always packed! A lot of Asians eating here and mostly Asians always dining in. Yiu know this is their go to spot. Favorite meal here is the beef and broccoli over fried rice and the crab Rangoon. But the menu has so much more to try! Look at the pictures on Unilocal to help with the description because the Staff are friendly but speak engrish ;)

I’ll start off by saying that I’ve never in my life ordered food to go and as soon as I looked at it I didn’t want to try it. I decided to try it and two bites later(my rule of I’ll try anything twice) I threw it in the garbage. The oyster chicken is absolutely horrendous. There was hardly any meat on it. It had hard pieces of bone in the middle. Over all just disgusting. I ordered chicken fried rice. It was ok. Not much chicken. The most edible thing was the spring rolls however there wasn’t much to them besides the grease. The staff was friendly. Only reason they get an extra star.
