Oh no! I do NOT recommend this place. They call themselves Natural but I was appalled when I watched them put food into a plastic Tupperware, microwave it, and then served it! Yikes!

This is one of the few places(if not the only place) that serves vegan sandwiches in Waikiki. They also serve fruit smoothies and poke bowls. When we’re returned this summer, were discovered that the place is under new owners. While the sandwiches appear to taste the same(along with higher prices), the place has a different vibe and feel. I ordered the poke avocado bowl based on the picture shown in the menu. The poke looked plentiful but when I received my bowl, out looked like the head left off some fish. I didn’t think anything of it and it certainly was delicious. But I returned a second time and the bowl looked similarly half full. They spread out the avocado to hide the fact that there is no fish underneath and to make the bowl look more subsystem than it is. I took a picture of the menu as well as what I received for comparison. It was delicious but I feel that it is false advertising and misrepresents what you get. I guess it is like anywhere else where the ad looks better than the actual product.

LOVE the vegan chili and taro burger. SO nice to find vegan food in Waikiki. Only negative is 3 of the 5 times we ate there on our trip, they messed up our order. Pretty lame when you repeat what you want more than once. So food is great, WHEN they make it correctly.

Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, completely turned off returning. Such a shame as the sandwich was pretty nice!

Nice selection of healthy foods and vegetarian options. It is a good value, particularly compared to other options in the area.

Great spot for vegan and GF nomz!!! We went here yesterday for linner(late lunch, early dinner) and back again today for brunch after our hike. Delicious food and fast service! So glad it’s a short walk from our hotel! And for an added bonus: they can pack food for you for your flight back(sadly, Hawaiian Airlines doesn’t make any accommodations for food preferences or allergies). RUFFAGENOMZFTW!!!

I loved this place the Japanese food was great and to add we had Kombucha with our meal. Perfect dinner. I got some away nuts, drinks and Kava from the fridge. I love places like this wish I had found it earlier in our time in Waikiki.

This place is hidden in plain sight. Affordable, excellent quality food with plenty of healthy options. I try to eat here Every time I’m in Waikiki. May not be a date place, but if you care about what you put in your body, want to enjoy the putting in, and are kicking around in flip flops, head right in.

I was walking around Waikiki and wanted some good, healthy, nurturing, yummy food, that was also decently priced and not ‘waikiki prices’ ~ and I found all of that here! I had the simple avocado & egg salad sandwich, with lots of sprouts, shredded carrots, tomatoes & spices on it. Really delicious! If I were to go back though I’ll definitely try the veggies burgers. They had a lot of good ones to pick from that sounded amazing. Definitely check them out if you’re in the area and need a good snack or lunch!

My son has celiac disease and this is literally the only place he can trust to prepare his food without gluten! Thankful this place is available for celiacs!

Was so happy to find a vegan/veg friendly spot so close to Hilton Waikiki where we were staying– the servers were so friendly, the lentil soup was delicious and the leafy salad was killer. I really wanted to try new restaurants while out here but I’m finding myself going back at least once every day– it’s THAT good and has that many options!

I was excited to find a vegan place in Waikiki. I made a list of spots before arriving in Oahu and this was on it . We were walking around looking for a place to eat and found this place with the help of a local gentleman. We entered, and it was an order at the counter kind of place. We ordered and went to sit in the little seating area outside the restaurant. They had a few tables under horrible fluorescent lights. I hate that lighting. Nobody looks glamorous under those bulbs. including the food. I had a giant pickle that they had in a jar on the counter next to the cash register, a chili dog, and miso soup . Everything tasted blah to me, except the miso soup . The service was super friendly but the food wasn’t.

We ordered salmon avocado salad and unagi(eel) rice bowl which came with miso soup. The soup was delicious as was unagi. The white rice was cooked slightly harder, but I liked it this way. The salmon avocado salad has sesame thousand Asian dressing which was tasty. A good place for healthy Asian fare run by Chinese staff.

Oh how my heart beats for this place… Ive been eating here for years on my layovers. I remember the original owners who then had their daughter and son in law take over the biz. The only thing that has changed is the menu is slightly larger. My all time favorite it the anna banana sandwich fresh peanut butter, a whole banana, walnuts and a drizzle of honey on multigrain bread… Its so filling its almost two meals in one. The vegetarian chile will fool the carnivores. Its not spicy, savory and filling. Today I had a smoothie. ive been fighting a cold so the super antioxidant was calling my name. It did the trick! I’ll keep eating here

Just a few blocks from the beach, you may walk past this place and not notice it. You would miss a great place for healthy food. If you are vegetarian or vegan, you will think that this is the greatest place in Waikiki. If you are an omnivore like me, you should find it to be a great place. Near the corner of Kuhio Avenue and Uluniu Avenue. I am not partial to raw fish, but even I love the«spicy tuna» salad, which is raw tuna covered with a tasty sauce. I pay extra for the avocado, which is very creamy and smooth. They have many other menu options, but I love this salad so much, that it is what I always get. You can purchase a sandwich packed for the airplane, so that the sandwich does not get soggy and you have something better than the snacks they sell on the plane. They have a little market inside, where you can buy health foods and beverages. I buy their bottled fresh kava(also known as awa). It is a relaxing drink that is better than alcohol and not always easy to find in Waikiki. Our family always has Ruffage on our list of places to visit every time we go to Waikiki.

Superfresh and healthy food. Gluten-free options are excellent. We have tried veggie chili, veggie burrito, gluten-free and vegetarian sandwiches, soup of the day — all are very good. We also recommend the little shop that provides healthier skin care and snack options.

While many of the reviews in Oahu seem to be exaggerated(Hawaiian locals and happy tourists, save for the jerk face Californians like me, give everything five stars) this time I was not led astray by the higher rating for Ruffage Natural Foods! It’s not much to look at, and you’ll likely pass it without notice, but once inside you’re greeted by a lovely young couple(or brother/sister??) and welcomed with a slew of organic and healthy foods! Like a freaking oasis in a dessert full of crappy tourist food and chain restaurants, Ruffage put the pep back in my gluten-free, vegan, self-entitled Californian step. Okay, so I’m neither of those but if I was, this is where I would want to be! I also feel like I got value for my money. $ 8 for a towering whole wheat sandwich full of delicious egg salad, avocado, sprouts, tomato and lettuce. It was just spot-on after a morning full of surfing and beach bumming! They also have a(very) small store set up with natural and organic foods to please the most discerning of hippies. Raw bulk nuts, non-toxic beauty products, nut butters, protein shakes, cereals, almond milk, etc.

Not that many vegan places in Waikiki, but this place has more than a few options, and they take care about asking you about the ingredients. The tempeh sandwich was good, although not the most amazing I’ve ever had. My son ordered a custom banana and peanut smoothie which worked out pretty well too!
