At the former phở my lan location. Came for dinner. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the place was really clean and nicely renovated. If you liked phở my lan, you will love this place! It’s like an upgrade on everything! Oh, and it’s BYOB right now. Ill definitely be back!

Rice Paper(formally known as Phở My Lan) is located on Mauna Kea Street, only a couple doors down from Lam’s Kitchen. They have a large banner outside so its easy to find. I love the new layout and décor! They have cute lights hanging from the ceiling with stars dangling down, super cute. I also love the new bar stool seating in the back. Looks much nicer than a big fish tank! The staff here is super awesome! Everyone is friendly and very helpful when I had questions about the menu. They gave great recommendations on what I should try. I honestly had no idea what I wanted to order. Lol, indecisive problems. The Grub. [[ SUMMERROLLS $ 6.99 ]] Inside the rolls is shrimp, pork, lettuce, mint, and vermicelli wrapped in rice paper. Super yummy, can never go wrong with spring rolls! [[ RICEVERMICELLIWITHBBQPORK&CRISPYSPRINGROLLS $ 11.99 ]] Omg this was heaven. The BBQ pork and spring rolls were delish! I highly recommend this dish if you come here! [[ TAROHAUPIAONMACADAMIASHORTBREAD $ 4.99 ]] This was so good! I highly recommend saving room for dessert so you can try this home made taro haupia! [[ THAITEAWITHGRASSJELLY $ 4.99 ]] This was the perfect drink to go with my lunch! It had the perfect amount of sweetness and the grass jelly is made in house! Thanks Thu for the recommendation! Overall: This place was great! The food was good and the staff was awesome! I also loved how the food came out quickly! Very important for a lot of downtown workers. I will definitely be back very soon. :D

Dined here with my lady yesterday. We heard about this place from a friend who said it was a must try. They were not wrong! It is much more spacious in there than a place in Chinatown should be. Our waiter was very nice and super helpful. Since it was our first time, she gave lots of suggestions on what to try and what previous customers enjoyed. I ordered the lemon grass chicken sandwich. It was sooooo good! Perfect amount of spice and the veggies were phenomenal. My girlfriend had the tofu vegetable banh mi and loved it. We’ve eaten at countless Vietnamese restaurant and she’s never finished a sandwich until this one! They have add on combos for only a couple bucks that includes shrimp chips and a mini beef phở. Super worth it if you are hungry and a great deal. We also had the summer rolls(we were super hungry) and they were on point. Everything tasted very authentic which is how I like my Vietnamese food. The service was very good as I had my water refilled about 7 times in half an hour. I definitely recommend this place if you haven’t tried it yet.

Probably the one of cleanest restaurants in Chinatown. I would know since I worked in downtown the past ten years. I love how they transformed old Phở My Lan to this new hip restaurant, which includes new bar stool seating in the back of the restaurant! The bar stool seating will be perfect for when I come back for a quick lunch by myself. Gonna come back to try their new sandwich, phở soup, and shrimp chip combo. I had the rice vermicelli noodles with BBQ pork and shrimp. the shrimp was sooo tasty.

Rice paper is the former Phở My Lan! It’s under new owners, the children of former phở my lan owners. The first thing you will notice is the clean and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is also very nice and full of energy! My boyfriend and I came in at 8:58pm when they close at 9. We weren’t going to eat here being that they were about to close! But they welcomed us in and said as long as we’re in before 9 they are more than willing to feed us! The prices are a little higher but the food was still delicious or even more delicious. I was so pleased with our experience. I highly recommend this place to everyone

Walking through Chinatown we came across Rice Paper, looked at the menu and decided to dine in. The restaurant just reopened Thursday. The staff was very friendly and the food was terrific! The owner was great, she gave us a little samples of their homemade dessert(haupia taro on macadamia shortbread) and shrimp chips with real flavored shrimp from Vietnam… delicious. The décor was simple but modern and very clean. My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch.

The name brought us in but the food won’t make us return. Taste all around seemed westernized unusual for the heart of Chinatown. My lemon grass chicken Banhmi was missing any lemon grass taste had no pickled radish and carrots and green bell peppers for their hotter green pepper cousins. Our other dish was ok but the fish sauce dipping lacked the fish sauce itself. Please find the old recipe book and stick to it.
