Let me tell you miss Melissa knows a thing or two about doing hair honey. The first time I came here I was in a rut. I avoided hairstylists all together bc they just didn’t know what they were doing. Or I would want a certain look and they just couldn’t achieve it. I have mixed hair so I guess it is hard for stylists to figure out how to approach it? Idk. Well I decided to give it one last try with Melissa and two years later, let me tell you it is worth it!!! I can tell her how I want my hair and she finds a way to make it even better than I imagined. The drive is pretty far, but I would swim to the mainland if I knew Melissa would do my hair! Yea she is that damn good. Even with haircuts, ladies I know we are all trying to preserve our length. Even though those splitted, dried ends are telling us otherwise. Idk how she does it but she can cut an inch or two off my hair and I can’t even tell she did it. I just can’t rave about this girl enough! I always get compliments on my hair and while I am reluctant to share my best kept secret, I know I can’t hold it in for much longer. Melissa is just the best and if you are looking for a new stylist or just want to try something new you should definitely try her!

Stace’ is not only one of the most talented stylists in the business, he is also one of the sweetest, most pleasurable people to spend time with. I am from San Diego and I am considering flying out to Oahu every time I need a hair cut so I can see him again! I had Stace’ cut my hair at a charity event in the middle of the wilderness of Kuola Ranch without a blowdryer in sight. I had long hair(mid-back below bra line by a couple of inches). I also have lots and lots of thick, wavy and wild hair. I wanted a major cut(i.e., to cut off about 10 inches of it for a long bob). I was feeling adventurous… in retrospect, this could have gone so wrong! My lucky starts were watching and I was assigned to Stace’. All I can say is WOW. Stace’ talked to me and got exactly what I wanted. He was undaunted by the challenge and in fact so very excited to be part of my transformation! I had such a great time talking to him as he worked his magic. The cut is glorious. It has been over a week now and it looks so cute both curly and straight. Stace’ if you ever read this, thank you so much! And please let me know whenever you come to San Diego!

If you want a five star haircut and color, you must see Stacee at Reve Salon. I have been going to him at the Kahala Hotel for two and a half years and the cut and color is the best I have experienced. He intuitively knows what works for my age and life style and is clearly an expert in his field.

I moved to Hawaii a few months ago and have been looking for a new stylist. Melissa was a great find! She actually sat and talked with me about my hair before starting in on the cut — problem areas, how much time am I willing to put into styling, preferred length and style. She made great suggestions and executed them flawlessly. I now have a fantastic style that takes no effort to maintain. I’ll definitely be going back and have already recommended her to friends.

Melissa saved my hair from a bad haircut. Wash cut and style for under $ 60. You can’t beat that! Not only did she do an amazing job, she also counseled my on my hair to get feel for what I wanted. I know where to go from now on!

I have been going to Stace for half my life, and I will never go to anyone else! My stepdad introduced my mom and me to him and I fell in love. I have extremely thick hair and it always was a bother getting it cut from someone else. When I first went to Stace I was in awe. He is the best in the business and whether I go in just for a haircut or color/cut I always feel like I’m getting the royal treatment.(Some people think it’s expensive but he is totally worth it!) He is so welcoming and I love him!

My mom followed Pam here when she moved and when I was able to get an appointment with her I was so excited. Before this appointment with Pam, I got a redish ombré at Ward Paul Brown. I messed my expensive color by recoloring it with red drug store hair color. I went to Pam and after she cut my hair I WASINLOVE. I usually DREAD getting my hair cut and limit it to 2 times a year, but she just knew what I wanted and what works for me. I was even happier when she fixed my ombré. Her color technique is amazing… She is also a joy to be around and talk to! The salon is classy and modern in the Kahala Hotel. You can valet your car and head down to the salon or grab a bite at their many amazing restaurants. While I was getting my hair done I noticed the owner of the store having two assistants and was working on three clients at the same time! That is some major skill. If you want a great color and cut come to this salon. I love not having to guess if I’m going to happy with my hair after. I will definitely be coming back.

I had been falling out of love with my hairstylist for about a year, it was a long painful breakup but then I met Stace. I chose to go to the Kahala location since it is closer to home,(not to mention it is at the beautiful Kahala Hotel). Stace transformed my color and cut and I left feeling like a rockstar! Prices are reasonable and the staff are all so nice and knowledgeable. Looks like I will be having a long term relationship with Stace, his staff and salon!!!

Was looking for a new stylist closer to where I live and work, and found Britteny at Reve. Booked online(yay! why don’t more places let you do this?) and got an appointment for the NEXTDAY. Which is a really good thing since I really needed cut and color. Britteny did a great job –very happy with both my cut and color(full highlights) and will be going back to see her again. Valet parking was validated making it so easy and fast to get in/out. IMO prices here were very reasonable given what I’ve paid at other high end salons around town. The salon in the Kahala is small, secluded and peaceful — enabling chit chat with Britteny and also a few moments of zen.

Let me just say that I’ve had the same hairstylist for years who is the most fabulous person on the planet, and I am devasted that he lives thousands of miles away from me now. So now the dilemma — who to cut my hair? I’ve been burned many times in the past, so I am VERYVERYVERY picky about who does my hair and how. I’d rather grow it to my knees and have split ends all the way up than get it cut by someone who I felt skittish about. I asked around for months for any good stylists in town, and I finally was recommended someone that sounded good — Britteny at Salon Reve My friend and I went there on a recommendation from a coworker. His wife always has great hair, so I was putting full faith into his recommendation(I also threatened him if it turned out bad) Britteny was professional, friendly, and tolerated our shenanigans quite well. She was basically handling three clients at once(my friend and I, plus this dude who dropped in a needed a quick trim). Even though she was spread thin and had her hands full, we all came out with great hair and had lots of fun! I got a haircut while my friend got cut and colored. Mine was about $ 60, I think hers was around $ 160 for everything. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is the price(though I am willing to pay for a cut I love since I don’t do it very often) and the parking. Definitely get your parking validated because if not, it will end up being $ 75! I will definitely return to her when I need my hair cut again. The salon is inside the Kahala resort, which is super posh and has dolphins! What the freak?! Anyways, go to Reve and see Britteny!

this place is just jumbled full of fantastic-ness! i always go to Tabby. she’s still in training but she definitely knows her stuff! also, i’ve met stace, the owner, a few times and he’s just a great guy overflowing with skills. my friend went to ron a couple of times and absolutely loved the color he put in her hair! she looked so awesome… plus he’s very easy on the eyes ;) while i was there this past time, holly was doing an amazing job with a color and cut! so stunning! many talented stylists here. i always feel great walking out! prices vary though between stylists so call and make an appointment first.

Like Jenn T., I also went to Reve Salon because of Pam, who recently moved here from another high profile salon. The salon is small, but quaint, and I loved the serene hair washing area with a water feature on the wall. The other employees were very nice and offered me a beverage as I waited. I much prefer coming here over other salons I’ve been to in busy shopping centers. While I enjoyed the salon, my review is really about Pam. I previously cheated on her with two other stylists, primarily because I was tired of her previous salon. I tried on two other stylists from other high profile salons who were wonderful people, did a nice job, and cost less. But what I realized from that experience is that you get what you pay for. Pam’s expertise is superior. I was thrilled when I found out she moved to the Kahala Hotel. Pam knows her stuff — she looks at and feels my hair and can tell you about the texture and which way it curls, and she’ll cut accordingly. I’ve gotten more compliments about my hair after Pam cuts it than any other stylist. She also understands the importance of professional development and will take training classes to improve her skills and learn new techniques.

My hair stylist moved here so I went here to today for a trim. I was surprised to see that it is a cute little salon hidden among the shops in the Kahala Hotel. It is very clean and modern. It looks like there are a few other stylists here as well as a manicurist, but I’m not 100% sure as to what services they offer here. I go to Pam, who is a fantastic hair stylist, so check her out if you decide to come here!
