Holy moly beef jerky! The best ever! You better buy more then 1 bag because by the time you get home a bag will be gone… I’m sure I’ll be back next week

I saw him at a booth (table) at the Pearlridge Phase I mall near the elevators… I guess they were doing a special before Mother’s Day so I stopped on my out. He gave me samples to try and immediately loved it! I bought 2 of each bag, original and pepper. my favorite is the pepper. This is how beef jerky should be made, crispy and light, not thick and chewy (yuck!). Will definitely drive to Young Street to buy more!

I have been buying Bobby’s beef jerky for a while through a friend of his and all I can say is WOW!!! Best beef jerky chips ever! Peppered is definitely the way to go. Crispy, flavorful, goodness! Don’t hesitate to go down and pick up a bag or two, or ten!

I was driving by and I saw this place. Have I heard of this before? It’s a hole in the wall place. That perked my interest right there. I drove around the block, parked right in front of the store on the other side of the street. Looking over I see there is a parking lot right next to the bldg on the Leeward side. Idiot.
Snap a couple pics on the outside and I walk in. Standing room only and very limited. Less than a handful of people can stand in that area. There’s a counter with a sign «Employees Only» hanging on the short entrance door. Against the far wall is a basket filled with bags of jerky atop a deep freezer.
I was greeted by Bobby. I said I never heard of you guys before. He opened saying he started making jerky for himself and friends. His friends said they really liked it and began placing orders with him. All of sudden he couldn’t keep up with the orders and he wasn’t even in business. When he finally worked everything out he managed to open a brick and mortar in November 2014 just in time for Christmas taking advantage of the holiday rush. Bobby was very helpful, informative, genuine nice guy. I wanted to get picture of Bobby with his product but he did not want to. Shy guy, huh. Brah, no be shy… you gotta stand proud and confident with your product. Ok, that still wasn’t enough to get his pic. Maybe next time I try using a smaller camera.
At the moment he has two flavors, original and pepper. I first tasted the original. I’m hardly ever impressed with original because there isn’t enough of a flavor impact for me. This one was, not to my surprise, okay. He opened a new bag of the pepper jerky. I did like the peppery taste on this one much better. different Some noticeable differences with these jerks are they are very thin. They are also brittle, kind of crispy. There is a chew on them but not as much as others we are use to. You don’t have to worry about any of this getting stuck between your teeth.
Each bag holds 4oz at $ 15.00 each. He uses 1lb of beef to make each bag. Man, that’s a 75% reduction. Cash or check only. I had neither. I told Bobby I will come back to buy a bag. I do like a little chew now and then after dinner if only to hold a nice flavor in my mouth.
I’m not all that impressed but he is recently opened. I’ll get that bag like I told him, and check in on this location later in the year to see how it’s doing and try more product.
