This is hands down one of my favorite places to celebrate and hang out with friends. I have reserved a room for my birthday every year for the past few years and each time it was great. This is my go to choice because I love karaōke(good song selection), very clean, nice atmosphere, and helpful staff. I also like the fact that parking is easy, they have a variety of soju flavors, free gaming in the lounge(love those dancing games), and prices are reasonable. They offer specials for happy hour, birthdays, and many other promotions. Every time I have went there(which was many), I always had a ton of fun. Some of my best memories were at Nocturna. :)

Super clean, super modern, super hip. This place has gotten a lot more popular over the years and rightly so. The bar area is set up so that there is entertainment at every direction. Video games are everywhere and FREE. There is also a karaōke station in the middle for you to sing for all the bar to hear. If that sounds too intimidating, there are private rooms. We got one of the private rooms and if it is your birthday, you get an hour free! Service was excellent and the waitress was constantly checking up on us if we needed anything. Just one minus star because the private rooms don’t nearly have as many new songs than the outside(we really wanted to sing new Adele and Bieber) and this place is on the expensive side. Otherwise, I’d definitely come here again, especially if you are a large group.

Who ever thought of this place is genius! Been here a few times and I’ve always had a good time. There are video games pretty much from every console out there and karaōke rooms. There is a bar with plenty of drinks to loosen up those vocal chords for singing or bash talking after beating someone in a game!

I really like coming here for any occasion, good for after dinner, good as a last resort, good for a starter place. Who doesn’t like playing video games while you’re drunk?!? Haha :) Service here is always quick & the staff is always nice. Soju, soju & more soju. My favorite is strawberry & lychee. Sometimes the game consoles are busy depending on the night, so id suggest to make it your starter or your last place, that way you get to play what you want.

I love the interior design of this place and the fact that they have Karaōke and video games in the main lounge, however, sadly the gaming side has gone a little down. They used to have Dance Central 3 on the 360s and a whole folder full of 360 games but since changing out to the xbox ones(which I think is a horrible decision) there has been nothing really entertaining to play. DC3 was really the highlight of the night before. Other than that, this is the place to be. If there isn’t a huge group hogging the entire space in the main lounge, there’s lots of room for you and your partner. Karaōke is kind of intimidating when the amazing singers are there, so the last time I came, I sang at the very end of the night lol. One of my favorite things about this place is the mature and somewhat geeky crowd. Definitely my kind of people. I highly recommend checking it out if you like a more calm crowd that isn’t all ritzy and ditzy like other night clubs.

We had a private room and had to exit the room multiple times for drinks. I wanted to like this place but ultimately it felt like a public hangout for a small group of exclusive friends who had no intention of making you feel welcome. A fine example of this is seeing four people behind the bar, talking story and cruising and a busy ass bartender with a huge crowd of customers waiting patiently to be served. You’d think that those people behind the bar could help out or they’d hire a bar back or better yet a second bartender to support the peak hour rush of customers. Will not be visiting this place again because the service isn’t good, the vibe feels exclusive(as opposed to inclusive and welcoming), and it’s not worth the time to and money. Aloha.

I’ve come to Nocturna on more than one occasion and almost always been very pleased with each of my visits. Karaōke bars have become one of the many things Hawaii locals love to do with their group of friends over drinks for pau hana, parties, or just to have a great night out! Nocturna Lounge is one of the more modern karaōke bars you’ll find near downtown Honolulu located in Restaurant Row that also offers video games. Their main lounge is free for all, screens all around with plenty of areas to sit and chill or mingle with friends. Their song selection is up-to-date and current with English, local Hawaiian, Japanese, and Korean songs available in their song books too! Song requests are free before 9pm, and $ 2 per song after. If singing in front of a bunch of strangers isn’t your thing(I find having a few drinks before singing a few songs helps A LOT), Nocturna does provide a few private rooms equipped with it’s own karaōke and video game systems. Workers here are very nice and the bartenders do a good job of making sure everyone is serviced. If you and your friends need a good spot to chill at for a few, definitely stop by Nocturna for a while and enjoy yourselves!

Karaōke, super smash brothers, and alcohol… What more can you ask for. This lounge is always my squads go to place to have a chill night! The bartenders are always nice and the servers always check up on you. Expect to meet new people because most people that comes to nocturna lounge has a great attitude and likes to meet new people… And maybe because the place is very open and you can sit by strangers if you want LOL! When coming here expect to sit next to other groups of people, unless you want to be secluded you and your party can rent a room and have a private party. Overall expect to have a good time when coming here!

Long story short, our reservation was mysteriously lost even though I had put down a deposit. However, despite what happened I am very impressed with the professionalism of the staff, who were very patient and understanding as we worked to get the situation resolved. It all worked out in the end, and we thoroughly enjoyed our night out and look forward to coming back to Nocturna in the near future. Mahalo for taking care of us!

We came here tonight for the first time. It was a nice change from older karaōke lounges. It’s very nice and trendy. They have everything from video games to karaōke. We decided to get the small room. It’s a pretty big room for a «small room.» The room came with a karaōke system with 3 mics. It also had the largest remote I have ever seen. It also came with Xbox system in the room. We stayed for 4 ½ hours! It is $ 20/hr for 4 or less people. I didn’t care for their sojus but they have a full bar. It can get kinda pricey for drinks so maybe next time we will try happy hour! They also don’t serve food anymore but you can bring in your own food. We ordered papa johns pizzas. The service was good. They explained everything the room comes with, and how to use the remote, and our options if we decided not to get a private room. They were pretty patient with us especially when they had to come and retrain us on the remote! All in all… I would recommend trying this place. We will definitely be back again.

To keep it short and sweet: Nocturna Lounge is awesome. They have the main lounge where it’s a free for all, screens all around with plenty of areas to chill with your friends or with your drink. There’s song books scattered throughout so you can browse as you down your Liquid Courage(which yes– is actually a drink on the menu). They have a huge song selection including English, Japanese, and Korean. When you’ve picked your personal anthem, you turn in your song request. It’s free before 9pm, $ 2 a song afterwards. Then you wait for your moment of glory(and knock back another Liquid Courage for good measure). There’s a lot of regulars who come, but it’s pretty friendly for first timers too. Whether you’re a karaōke aficionado or it’s your first stab at it, you’re bound to like Nocturna. Or, if you don’t feel like pouring your soul out to the world, there’s video games too. Feeling a little shy or have a special occasion? They have private rooms available, fully stocked with Rock Band and a personal karaōke system.

When I first entered this place, I thought it was small, but on the plus side, they have video games for everyone to play! Very fun place to be at especially listening to other people singing karaōke & having a few drinks. I guess parking is free when you go on a Saturday night because the last time I went there we didn’t have to pay, unless it was already Sunday(2am) when we left the place. There’s a little sitting area outside if you wanted some chill time with your friends & you could also bring your own food, but it does get hot/humid. My boyfriend actually made friends while playing video games! Haha. Great place to be at with chill vibes. If you’re a gamer & wanted to meet friends, this is the place to go to play games & have some drinks :)

This was my first time here and it was great! My friends reserved a room for their free hour birthday special and we were allowed to bring in food but no drinks. It was totally understandable and honestly, from 5 – 9 or 7−9pm(depending on the day) they have a pretty good happy hour. I only spent around $ 30 for 3 glasses of yogurt soju and a carafe of soju. Our waitress was pretty on it when it came to checking in on us for drinks and clean up. When it comes to the karaōke, they have a wide variety of modern songs as well as some Korean songs. We had the option of Just Dance but decided to keep it simple karaōke. Will come here again.

I’ve been here a few times now and it’s usually because we’ve already been out drinking & were craving some karaōke. So happened that the other night we suddenly had that feeling that we had to just sing so off we went! It was a Wednesday night and I was actually shocked at how busy they were. We luckily were able to get a couch spot and immediately started looking for songs. This place has a darker lighting to it, an electronic kind of vibe and a chill atmosphere. There’s video games set up through out that you can play while you drink(my boyfriend couldn’t be happier) ranging from sports, racing to old school street fighter. There’s a nice big bar set up and lots of black leather couch/seats along the wall. Unlike other karaōke places, this is not BYOB; the bar is fully stocked but rather BYOF — bring your own food! This is awesome if you want to celebrate with friends for a birthday or something. Unless you pay for a private room, the whole deal here is you sing in front of everyone. There’s a big screen in the center and you can see it from most spots. It’s $ 2 a song. CASHONLY. We picked a few to jam on and awaited our turn, which brings me to my NOTE: be sure to look at the queue of songs. There was a 45 minute wait for our first song which is why we rushed to get them in. If you’re on a time crunch, get a room! I think it was $ 30/$ 40 per hour which ain’t the worst. I also heard happy hour is 5 – 8 with free karaōke which is a total win. We had great service [our waitress even helped to speed up our songs] and there was a bartender who came around with a jar of free Oreos he was giving out. I don’t know about you but I love me some Oreos so it was a nice treat with some beers! We had a really pleasant time, I could see myself coming back for sure.

Being the good Korean boy that I am, it’s in my blood to like the following things: 1) alcohol, 2) karaōke, and 3) video games. And it’s pretty easy to find good places that offer one or two of those things, but never all three. That is, however, until Nocturne Lounge came around. Nocturnal Lounge changed the game with their concept mixing singing, gaming, and top tier drinks. Ever since they opened their doors at Restaurant Row a few years back, no other place has even come close to matching the amount of fun and enjoyment than what Nocturna Lounge offers. And the location being where it is means that there’s always gonna be parking. So where to begin? Well, let’s start with the drinks. Nocturne Lounge can brag a fully stocked bar with amazing specialty cocktails and soju mixes. Nothing beats sharing a carafe of soju with a group of good friends… or just for yourself… no one’s judging. The bar tenders and servers are also simply the best with some of the most excellent service I’ve ever received in a bar setting. And although some might find something to complain about since there’s no food menu offered here, you’re free to bring your own food, so there really is no issue. Next is the karaōke aspect, which Nocturna knocks out of the park. I’ve yet to find another place that consistently keeps their song selection updated with the newest hits(English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, etc.). For the brave, the lounge has its own karaōke system where you can show off your pipes to the masses. If you’re a bit more reserved, there are three different sized private rooms that can accommodate even the largest of parties. I can personally attest to having nearly 30 people in the largest room once. Prices are per hour, but are highly competitive, and the cleanliness and accommodations that you find at Nocturna are probably unmatchable. Finally there’s the gaming. You can find all the latest multiplayer games for all the major consoles. The lounge area is equipped with multiple stations where you can show off your dance, first person shooter, racing, or sports skills. And each of the private rooms can also be switched from karaōke to gaming at a moments request. And even more jaw-dropping, the medium size room comes fully furnished with an entire Rock Band ensemble. We’re talking drum set, guitars, and mics with a mic stand. If you’ve ever wanted to pretend to be rock star, you’ve come to the right place!

I’m a karaōke fiend, but can’t sing. Oh, the irony. How it burns. Nocturna Lounge has the best song selection on the island. #turndownforwhat Just in the lounge though. The song selection in the rooms isn’t as extensive. Unless you’re into singing Korean and Japanese songs. Then it’s pretty good. Songs are free before 9PM in the lounge. Afterwards, it’s $ 2 a song. Get ready for some long waits in the lounge though, as the place gets packed with regulars. Waiting an hour for your song is the regular. But if you know the song that’s currently being sung, get a few drinks in you and sing along. Party foul though. Did I mention video games. They have that too. And drinks. This place is fun. Just go. But you probably already have.

After a long week, Nocturna is the perfect place to hang out with your friends, have a drink, and sing your heart out! It does get busy and crowded, so if you’re claustrophobic, I would say to get one of the rooms Came here a couple times for work parties and a birthday party, and have no complaints. If you have a little more to spend after eating at Ruth’s Chris or looking for a place to get a drink before heading over to the M, give this place a try! Location & Parking: 5⁄5 In restaurant row, you know, where the $ 1 movie theatre used to be! Never had a time where parking was nowhere to be found. Atmosphere: 4/5, but in a room, 5⁄5 Open mic, and there’s also karaōke in the rooms, which feature a variety of updated songs, which is a plus. Very spacious, with clean and comfy furniture. Outside tends to get very crowded, but for some reason, the couches/chairs aren’t always occupied. Everyone is probably at the bar or tweaking on the games. Yep! There’s games, so you can challenge your friends, or even play Bomberman(my favourite). Drinks are not very expensive, but you probably won’t remember how much you spent, because their yogurt soju is dericious :) Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for a party or a night out. Have not encountered any creepers, and security is really good on the safety side and consideration of others. The bartenders are friendly and patient, and the owner was a big help for the last bday celebration I went. Thank you!!:)
