The store has all the right inventory and decent layout, but the service seems like its lacking.
My wife and I both went browsing and soon realized that we were like the only customers on the floor even though it was midday on a weekend. The reason I mention that is because the ratio for staff member to customer was 10:1, so I’m unclear on why it was hard to get any help. We got passed on twice. We also never were greeted by the staff. We had to make the effort to get staffs attention for help. This did not meet my expectation for Neiman Marcus. The one near home has exemplary customer service. We left shortly after being passed around from one person to another.

No amount of beautiful, fashionable clothing or accessories can make up for snooty sales associates.
To me, money is money, regardless of whether the person buying it looks like a janitor or a top EXEC. I had never experienced the type of unprecedented judgement that I received at Neiman Marcus. You would think the sales associates were the ACTUAL designers themselves — media darlings who rub shoulders with hollywood’s elite, rather than a regular ol Jane or Tomiko trying to earn money 9 – 5 for a living.
Me and my coworker went to Neiman Marcus after work one day to look for Arthur George or her boyfriend’s birthday. Our work allows business casual dress, so she was in a pair of jeans and a sweater and I was in a dress but with flip flops I use when out of the office. The floor was DESERTED. No one approached us at all in the 15 minutes we were browsing the area. We had a hard time locating the specific item, so we were looking around for help, and saw associates who were a distance away, but made no attempts to come help us. We finally located the item, and my friend had to SEARCH out an associate to ring her up. Literally — there were two workers talking, and she approached them and asked, «Um, can I pay for this?» and then they were cordial and checked her out. I hate that she still ended up buying the item given our treatment. I personally hate giving money to people or
