Super cheap and fast musubi on the go. we had the bacon egg and spam as well as the bacon egg and avocado musubi. Very good and inexpensive. we took them along for our hike to diamond head and they were very filling. Try to come early as most of the best selections are gone by the afternoon. Saw they served regular food as well. Will have to try next time we are in town again.

Came in here to grab some spam musubis for a quick dinner. Probably came too late as there wasn’t that much selection left. It’s a pretty small place and kind of hard to find. The are it is in seems like it’s very popular with the Japanese tourists. I bought two of the musubis so that my husband and I would have a quick and cheap bite to eat before we went to the beach. It was not bad but I am used to spam musubis with a little more sauce and flavor. I thought it was cheap and quick but lacking a little in saltiness or sweetness, or even any flavor? Maybe it’s just me but I feel like I’ve had better. However, I would go again to try the bentos and give the musubis a second try.

If you’re looking for a snack, this is the place to go! So much variety for musubi and bentos. My friend got a bento with spam, sausage, chicken and egg which was the perfect amount and we also got spam musubis for $ 1 each. Definitely must stop here while shopping in Waikiki.

I have been coming to this place for years now! It’s a great place for a quick & affordable musubi. The prices of musubi can go down to $ 1 for each, and bentos for a few bucks later in the afternoon. I’m usually in the area around 2−3pm and the prices are usually lowered by that time. I love to grab a few different flavors for snacks while I’m in the area, but they do sell out quickly and the later you come the more flavors will be sold out. It’s an adorable little hole in the wall type of place, directly across the street from Ross. Besides musubi, they also have a delicious curry and rice bowls available, an assortment of bentos, and a few flavors of juice and soda. There isn’t too much seating besides a couple 2 person tables, so if you are grabbing a to-go snack it’s the right place for you!

Great place for a quick breakfast, lunch or just a snack. They have a pretty wide selection of spam musubi. Instead of just spam, they have ones with daikon, bacon, avocado, tamago, and more! $ 2-$ 3 each. They also have small boxes of yakisoba noodles and mini bentos which I believe was around $ 3-$ 5. The noodles are cold. I wish they had a microwave or something, the flavor was pretty good. Spam musubi taste like any other ones I’ve had. This place is quick and simple with no lines, perfect for hiking days to get a couple and eat it on the go. We also grabbed a few before heading to the airport. I gave it a 3 star because one time, my spam was BURNT. It was literally BLACK. Come on, it’s not that hard to make spam… And one piece doesn’t cost that much. They need to get on the quality control and chuck the burnt pieces… Overall, taste is not bad when it isn’t burnt, price is average, convenience is the biggest thing

THE tastiest SPAM MUSUBIs on the island! There are several of these restaurants, but this location is «Iyasume,» a smaller spot where you to-go your food. It’s cheaper here than if you ordered musubis from a bigger restaurant. All the musubi’s here are fresh and hand-made upon ordering. My favorite musubi is the Spam, avocado, bacon, and egg! I would recommend getting his one without the avocado if you won’t be eating it within a few hours. The egg they use in the musubis reminded me of tamago used in sushi– delicious. I liked that the spam wasn’t too salty(I think they use ‘light’ spam), and the rice here was lightly flavored and had the right consistency. These were perfect snacks/meals to bring with us on our hike, and super easy to eat. Make sure you grab some before you hit the beach or before an adventure!

Who doesn’t love spam musubi’s? I know I do! I had to check this place out to get some snacks for our day at the beach. Seriously the best snack for the beach and will last and be okay still when cold. I got the avocado spam egg bacon, spam egg bacon and salmon roe. All were delicious and satisfying. I wish I tried the one with cucumber. Next time.

Came here twice. Got the spam musubi and the unagi bowl. Love the bowl but didn’t quite enjoy the musubi. It just was a little too salty. I like how everything is fresh and the variety to chose from. Try the rice bowls! I enjoyed the Unagi and the curry rice!

Tiny little shop that sells warm masubi and bento boxes togo. Less than $ 1.50 each masubi, and bentos will run $ 3-$ 6. A good place to pick up snacks for hiking, excursions, laying out.

I don’t know what the hype is regarding spam musubi. + Yes, it tastes good, and everything is freshly made(I saw them coming out a truck and filling the shelves that morning) — but why would I go out of my way to search for hard-to-find parking — for this little tiny shop that sells rice + spam + seaweed? — There are tiny seats for only 4 people — The bowls are quite expensive for the amount food that you yet — Cash only for a tourist spot located on the main Waikiki area Maybe I am missing the appeal? I can make spam and rice and put seaweed on it on my own :/

As part of the quintessential«Hawaii experience», I knew I had to get my hands on some spam. Musubi Iyasume is really more of a 3.5 stars rating for me but since ½ stars aren’t an option, I had to go with my gut and round down this time. Expectations-wise, don’t get your hopes up and do something crazy like drive here since this is a small hole-in-the-wall that sells a variety of rice balls {musubi}, bentos, other snacks and desserts. Still, I think the spam musubi here is solid. I came here twice(it was right next to my hotel) so I tried a few varieties, such as the spam and egg version(my favorite), plain spam, and the non-memorable,“non-spam” ones. The«spam» is where it’s at! Price-wise, each musubi is about $ 2 – 3, which sounds pretty reasonable. It’s easy to inhale a couple of musubi in a few minutes though so going during breakfast or «snack time» is the way to go. Overall, the rating comes down to not being blown away by the experience, even though there are some solid offerings in spam musubi here. The bento was nothing to write home about but if you’re looking to get some quick food in Waikiki, I could see how Musubi Iyasume could be a good choice. One last random shout-out: the best thing here is the rice. They are using high-quality rice in their musubi and bento so I give them props for using actually good rice.

Not far off the main strip in Waikiki, this a great stop for any meal or snack. There are only two small tables outside so plan on grabbing and taking them somewhere. Cash only! Fun assortment of musubi so be adventurous

A few places around Waikiki and felt necessary to get some musubis as a snack. Very small place to grab and bento, musubi, and drink to go. Ended up just picking out 3 kinds, spam, canned tuna, and cooked salmon. Salmon was my favorite but the spam was not as flavorful. Rice was a little dry. Still a good place to grab a snack but 7 eleven is everywhere too.

This location is convenient, only if you are in Waikiki. It is out of the way, if you are just driving in just to go here. Having to look for parking is not going to be going fun! They have another shop in town, near Ala Moana. Before the town store opened up, my friends would always pick up bentos & musubi from this shop. As I’m eating the goods, I always told myself, I want to visit this shop one day & Yes! Today is my lucky day! As I Search on Unilocal for info., It was only a 9 mins walk from my hotel. We walked there, which was a nice & short walk. Enjoying the tourist life! It wasn’t hard to find, located on Seaside, next to Waikiki Shopping Plaza. It is the next street, a cute shop, very very small! Note: *cash only *be sure to get a stamp card,(5.00 per stamp, if you fill the card, it will be only a 3.00 discount off your purchase) *musubi, Keiki bento pack is not labeled. — I Grab 2 pack which was konbu! *if you like shiso, they have a shiso spam musubi *they use premium rice We enjoyed our food! All of us! My daughter asked where did you get this from, Mom?! It’s good! Stop by! You will not be disappointed!

I’m not gonna lie. I probably grabbed food from here 5 of the 7 days I was in town for work. This place is a lifesaver for sure, having sometimes end up eating so late or needing something for my work lunch. Thankfully, this was literally around the corner from my hotel. They only take cash, but the food here is such a great deal. I can walk away with a few musubis and a bento box, to tide me over, for those long working days. I also loved stashing a few at the hotel room, just in case I got the late night munchies. Food is made fresh every day. Sometimes the more popular items sell out by the late afternoon/early evening. You can try and ask if they can make some more. The staff here is friendly and accommodating. The next time I’m back in Honolulu, I’ll definitely be visiting Musubi & Bento. Cheap grinds you can take with you on the go. How can you complain about that?

Literally a hole in the wall, they offer a wide variety of musubi, bento and snacks. I was happy to see an employee filling the shelves with fresh musubi and that all of the food doesn’t sit there all day long. I was also excited to see hot dog sandwiches because the last time I had a hot dog sandwich was in Tokyo. I decided not to get one after examining them because they looked nothing like the ones they sell in Tokyo. They had a few other items for sale like tote bags, ramen bowls and Spam. They had those harder to Spam flavors like Teriyaki and Garlic. In their fridge, they had pudding and castella. I decided on 3 different musubi: spicy tuna, salmon and ikura and the original: Spam and I was disappointed in all 3. Spicy Tuna Musubi 2⁄5 The spicy tuna wasn’t the spicy tuna we’re all used to; not fresh fish but canned tuna with mayo and a spicy sauce that tasted the Sriracha. There was about 90% rice and 10% tuna. Boo. Salmon Ikura Musubi 3⁄5 I absolutely love salmon and ikura, especially together. The only problem with this one was that it had about 80% rice and 20% salmon and ikura. Spam Musubi 3⁄5 The spam was cooked just the way I like it-extra crispy but it was a really thin slice of spam. Again, about 80% rice and 20% meat. The customer service was good and the prices are very reasonable. This spot makes for a good place to grab a quick bite for the road but until they improve their meat to rice ratio, I can’t even consider them as one of my favorite places to get a musubi.

During our trip in Oahu, we travelled to a lot of different places and always wanted to bring lunch along. Luckily, M&B Iyasume opened super early in the mornings and has a generous amount of different options. Within a 1 mile radius, there’s at least 4 different locations, making it a really popular and practical option. Musubis are ~$ 2 and bentos are ~$ 5. My favorite was the spam/bacon/egg musubi. We also tried a variety of different ones(spam/cucumber, spam/shiso, etc). The bentos were generous and the katsu was delicious even after hours of siting in a container. On one of the mornings, we arrived at 7am about an hour after the store opened and the shelves were mostly empty with the exception of two different types of musubi and onigri. It’s incredible that there’s only 1 – 2 chefs working in the back area to hand-make everything. Overall, quick and convenient place to get a to-go lunch for those leaving Waikiki. Not particularly interesting for a dedicated lunch or meal in the restaurant(as there’s no seating area) and there are better options in Waikiki.

Pro tip: request freshly made musubi and it will be warmer and tastier. Overall both the musubi and the onigiri was really good. The onigiri came in multiple flavors. The spicy roe was particularly good. The musubi came with different varieties. Everything was super cheap and perfect for a light snack while shopping. The employees were friendly and helpful.
