This staff here is so patient I don’t know how they deal with the homeless day to day without feeling taken advantage of. I noticed that the security in Fort Street has gotten better with controlling the homeless problem. Close the seated areas, no more handouts, increase security!

This place is disgusting. My buddy ate there and got the runs for 3 days! Told him not too. I went to the greek place nearby instead. Why would anyone eat here?

There is a weird liquid on the stairs. It might be pee. A mosquito just landed on my cup and flew away. I saw a cockroach earlier. They allow one coffee refill and I just got one and they gave me a hard time about taking the lids off the cups. First, the lady barked at me to take the lids off. It was especially nice to be told what to do loudly from a stranger, especially when it seems like her job. Next, a discussion ensued about why I need to take lids off off cups for them to refill them. I’m pretty sure they graduated from high school, but it was brief. They fixed the air conditioning upstairs and now it’s cool. That’s why I gave them two stars. Otherwise… RUNFORYOURLIFE

If I could give 0 starts I woild, their staff is incredibly awful! They treat everyone terribly and they are extremely rude! I go to school at remington so as a student, most of the time mcdonalds is all I can affored. I walk in being friendly as possible but they are rude as f! I got sick of it and bitches one of the supervisors out today for her customer service. I Could Understand regular employees being rude. But management setting a terrible example! Unacceptable!

I do have to say, today on my most recent visit I saw security removing a houseless woman who was apparently harassing people at the door of McDonalds. The place has gotten cleaner in the past few months and I noticed that the workers call out to people to order so the line moves faster and a bit more organized. Luckily you don’t have to stand around for long, I’d say this is the fast McDonald’s I’ve been to now!

It’s A-Ok cause we used to hang out here after school and after church and sit upstairs and watch all the craziness below, then go across to Woolworth and Longs, lol… it looks nice on the outside but inside the lobby is still the same… cramped, crowded, the homeless, etc… some things never change! I forgot to get the Taro pie, damn! Next time…

I wish I could rate this McDonald’s zero stars. Seriously the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. The ice cream machine is always down or most recently they said“shuts off at 7pm.” When I informed them that it was not 7pm yet, the dude working at the register told me to ask his manager that was behind him. She then told me «it’s off» then went about her business. The worst customer service or leadership I’ve ever experienced.

This location does not have $ 1 drinks… it sucks that all the locations don’t have the same pricing. The $ 1 menu had shrunk to almost nothing. Mcdouble is now $ 1.59. Cheapest burger it’s cheeseburger for $ 1…remember when it was .59 cents. Drinks are not self service… due to do many homeless. You have to ask for napkins… A very busy location.

This is the worse McDonalds that I have visited on the island. Service is below mediocre, environment is unappealing, and no air conditioning which makes visit unpleasant. This is the only location I know of where you have to pay for refilling a drink… Unreal!!!

I stay at the Executive Center from time to time and have used this McDonalds solely due to its proximity. In short, it’s dreadful. I have never gone to this location without having to weave around three or more rambling homeless men, tweaking trannies or schizophrenic women grimacing at some nonexistent entities. It’s always crowded — a third of the people in the small downstairs area are just standing there for no reason, a third are homeless and taking up all the seating, and a few are standing idly behind the cash register, clearly mentally unstable and holding up the line for no apparent reason. My large orders are often a gamble — rarely(like today) I come out on top financially and get the wrong orders but more food than I paid for, and other times I get the wrong order with some food missing. Today I order: Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit Meal Two side orders of hash browns One dollar menu sausage mc-something for my fiancée I get: SAUSAGE, Egg and Cheese meal(fail) THREE side orders of hash browns(fail) TWO dollar menu sausage mc-somethings(fail or win?) In the past I promise myself to always check my meal at the register, but then I forget, and then they’d immediately assume I’m another crazie and go «Next!»

How hard is it to make a medium caramel ice coffee? Apparently it is too hard. I asked for light syrup and they overloaded it. Cavities much?

I love Mcds. Especially on Sundays after mass. Something about being forgiven makes me crave a caramel sundae! BUT this Mcds has some serious air conditioning issues since their remodel. The new seating area is nice, comfortable and well lit. BUT it is constantly 500 degrees. Since April I have found myself sweating through a big kids meal, don’t judge! I thought they were keeping it warm but back in June I said something to the cashier and realized she was sweating her cheese off. I felt bad for her but was too hot to be empathetic. This past week I was in on Tuesday and it was so hot I struggled to eat. The service is great, especially since they have to deal with the eclectic downtown crowd. You like that? cool use of eclectic right? the traffic is insane but they manage to move things along pretty quickly. The food is consistent. So I would give this a 5BUT I like feeling cool while I eat my fries…

Un McDonald’s comme les autres donc rien de spécial. La salle est grande et n’est pas bruyante. Pour les français a la recherché(comme moi) d’un Royal deluxe, il n’y en a pas aux US :(

McDonald’s is McDonald’s. They’re located pretty much everywhere. But this location has it’s good & it’s bad. The good: The downtown area is flooded with alot of eatery. But McDonalds is a cheap and quick way if you’re on a time limit. The bad: It’s located where there are an abundance of homeless that hangs in, out and around this location. The place smells funky. Service is ok. Ps. Big Mac Mondays! Buy a Big Mac meal, get a second Big Mac burger for free.

Located smack dab in middlenof dowtown this place is bound to be busy at any given time. And usually is! Sevice is fair, the staff does their best to keep the line moving along and your wait time for food low. Prices are McD’s prices. The major drawback with this particular location is their lobby. It is small and cam be a little confusing on who is waiting for food vs waiting to order food. Plus at times you may find an occasional homeless person getting their food and drink fix. If you get past that and actually venture to the second level where the seating area is locate the place improves. The staff does a good job at keeping the seating area clean. They have a window that overlooks the street — prime people watching folks! The WiFi is free. Not so bad. You just have to upatairs. Bonus for me… they have soft drinks any size for a dolllar! Add that to their McCafe drinks and prime people watching availability and this one gets 3 stars!

As for food presentation, the burgers I get are not neatly stacked, it’s like they just threw everything in and wrapped it with paper. The lines are always long, especially during meal times because this is in Downtown. One time, after I ordered my meal, I was standing on the side waiting for my food to come out. I was standing there for around 7 minutes already when the manager asked me what I was waiting for. Turns out, the cashier who took my order forgot to give it to the kitchen. The manager was nice enough as to prepare my food herself and gave me a free pie. The service here is fast enough, compared to the other Mc Donald’s that I have been to. That cashier who misplaced my order, OMG! I don’t know what’s wrong with him! This isn’t the first bad service he gave me. There was a time when he gave me the wrong change. When I complained about it, he insisted it was the correct change and didn’t want to pay me back what he owes me. There was also a time when he seemed like he didn’t want to give my sister’s change at all. After she paid and he printed out the receipt, he just stood there. My sister waited and wouldn’t leave so he eventually gave the change. Whenever we see him, we avoid him. What’s worst is I can’t give out his name here because, of all the employees there, he’s the only one who doesn’t wear a name tag.

Do you like fresh french fries? Good coca-cola? Maybe a perfectly arranged Big Mac? Clean restaurant ambiance? Well, if you said yes to all the questions above, or even two of the questions above, you clearly need to avoid the downtown McDonald’s right off Fort Street Mall. It really has nothing going for it except the convenience if you happen to work in the urban jungle known as downtown. The«fragrant» aroma of old oil topping old oil greets you as you enter this particular location. If you have never experienced the smell, I truly encourage you to experience it at least once in your life. While acceptable at the neighborhood Chinese restaurant or from a food vendor in Bangkok, I would not find it at any McDonald’s which holds itself to a pretty high national standard. Could it hurt you to get a gallon(or 50 for that matter) of bleach? French fries should come out hot right? While they come out piping hot half the time, that’s half the time too few. Also, would it kill you to fill up the container so I can get what I paid for? While the fries often come out cold, the soda could use some more ice so the coke would be icy cold rather than this tepid room temperature beverage. I could forgive the above or deal with a few things, but what I can’t forgive a sloppily put together burger. Tossing the patties and lettuce together in a container just isn’t acceptable. If I order a «complex» sandwich like a Big Mac, I’d like to hope that it would be put together nicely and compactly so that I could easily eat it instead of it falling apart? It is McDonalds and it is hard to resist the urge of fries and a Big Mac, so there will be those occasions where the temptation is simply too hard to pass up. When those moments arise, tears may come to your face as you come to the conclusion you need to brave the smell and deal with cold fries.

Not gonna lie, this mcdonalds is pretty damn whack. I only keep going to it because its convenient. You have a mix of people coming in. HPU Students that don’t know any better that there are 10x better food choices in the area. You have the downtown workers that just want something quick & easy, and then you have the crazies. What i normally get is side salad with a Italian or Vingerette dressing. Its only a 1.00 and some change. I eat that as a filler to my other lunch stuff I get. my biggest gripe here is that, you go in there for about 5 minutes, and you end up smelling like deep fryer. THey need to fix that right away. Its the worst smelling thing when you smell your clothes and you smell like mcdonads!

Yes, I would cross state lines for a McRib. According to Ethan T., McRib is no more. It’s okay because haupia pies are back.
