Color me impressed! This was my first time trying La Roux, and I’m so glad it caught my eye. At Eat the Street this past weekend, the food truck was so colorful and welcoming, I had to go over and see their options. With a number of deliciously interesting dishes, I settled on the Crawfish Étouffée! In a creamy white and red sauce, the large succulent crawfish were perfectly done. With just a bite of heat, all the flavors complimented each other each. The rice and sides were perfectly presented; it was as appetizing as delicious. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the truck and simplicity of the ordering and payment. Credit cards are accepted. Both the chef and cashier had that southern hospitality and welcoming manner. I can’t wait to give their other items a try very soon! Bön appetite!

Checked out this food truck while at the NYE Hawaii 2016. I lived in Louisiana for a few years a learned how to cook cajun food. One of my favorite dishes is Crawfish Étouffée. I have been so busy lately that I couldn’t find time to make it for myself. Your étouffée was like eating my own… It was amazingly delicious. Your hospitality was like being back in Louisiana. Thank you. I will sure to find you again at the next Eat the Street…

I’ve tried La Roux twice – my first experience was decent. I got the shrimp étouffée and liked it a lot(although my rice was too mushy). My order took a long time. My second visit was this past Thursday for the Maker & Tasters Ramenagogo event, so my bf and I tried their creole saimin. We were both very dissapointed. Our food came out cold, so we asked them to reheat it. From the time we arrived to the time we left was almost an hour because it took FOREVER for them to make the food each time. Also, it didn’t taste that good. They were nice enough to comp us bourbon bread pudding since we were dissatisfied – that was really yummy(nice and gooey, not too sweet)! We noticed another customer was waiting forever too, so he asked to be comped a bread pudding. My advice: only come here if you’re willing to wait.

I just had the tastiest Jambalaya. The fried chicken that came along with it was so flavourful and with the right amount of spice! I’ll definitely try a po’boy next time.
