The benefits of working at the edge of downtown where it meets chinatown is always a benefit. From the slim pickings of favorite eateries on repeat, sometimes you just want to change it up a bit, or a lot. After Paul C. review and pictures it really got me questioning and wondering, where in chinatown offers good, local, cheap food at an establishment that appears clean & doesn’t look like i’m going to catch a rare virus that’s incurable? Thank goodness for Krazy Kitchen! This small, hole in the wall gem is exactly what I was hoping for… CHEAP They offer breakfast bentos in the AM for 2.99 which includes spam, hot dog, three Portuguese sausage & one egg over rice. good luck trying to find that deal with that much variety. On Thursday & Friday they have Hawaiian food special plates starting at 10.99 and honestly, that’s a damn steal considering other places NOT in downtown/chinatown run for 15! They also offer a la carte for their Hawaiian food for you fellow picky eaters like myself. FRIENDLY As soon as you walk in, you feel like you just walked into your aunties kitchen. They’re so friendly and considerate and definitely exceed what my assumptions and expectations of this place. I had questions, they had answers and multiple choices and options for my one question. They had offered me to try a sample of their Cornbread before my purchase and that was the best damn cornbread I’ve had, other than my families. Not as dense, more airy, and the secret behind making the flavor better than others is their home made butter. TRUSTME, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back for their cornbread for sure and their many other local eats they offer. Best part of it all besides it’s cheap, delicious, and friendly? that it’s CLEAN!
