Kimi is the owner of the store and she’s located in Maunakea Marketplace. She does a lot of wholesale of beads and chinese knick knacks so her prices are very reasonable. I had the opportunity of meeting her when I was in search of some items during Chinese New Year. She happenned to help me and I found out she was the owner! I also bought a Chinese silk top for a great price($ 25). She also has mid length and long Chinese dresses that are beautiful. If you’re looking for party essentials or just some decorations, make sure to stop in this hidden gem! Her other family member runs a little bamboo shop right across from her. She does amazing work and the pictures show it. They had a really cool turtle vase with a 3 tier bamboo and a curly one in the middle which went for about $ 32. Very reasonable considering I searched at Marukai and something half its size went for $ 24. She even has a bin on the ground with different styles and you can build your own design! I used these loose pieces including the big turtle vase for a party centerpiece. We had a Kanreki dinner and bamboo and turtles happen to be some of the key symbols in Japanese culture. She takes Visa and Mastercard. Parking is best in the municipal parking, Maunakea exit.
