The Hub is a lifesaver when I’m trudging my way through classes and can’t for the life of me stay awake. I usually get a large coffee and let it cool down through my class before consuming it. Besides plain coffee, there are espresso drinks and pastries to snack on. The employees are professional and fast and I never have to wait more than 5 minutes for my order. Don’t forget to get a punch card when you order! The Hub is located in front of building 2(where the bookstore is) on the Honolulu Community College campus.

I usually stop by Lion Coffee to get my caffiene fix before class but, sometimes i dont have time because I take forever to get ready lol. I am very thankful that The Hub is here because I don’t have to leave campus for a refreshing coffee drink and risk being late for class. They have coffee and teas available for $ 5 or less, depending on the extra stuff you want to put in. They also have breads and other small food to complement your drinks, however, they may run out as the day proceeds. I like The Hub’s Caramel Frappé and I personally believe its way better than Starbucks’ overpriced and over-iced Frappucinos. They’re a little inconsistent with the quality of the frappes though… it depends on who makes it. Sometimes, they forget to put the caramel or sometimes they forget to put the espresso in it. BUTTHATDOESNTMATTER! I’m a coffee lover so I’m not going to make it a big deal lol, I’m just glad that The Hub allows me to get my caffeine fix! WOO! PS. Its CASHONLY!

I first discovered Island Brew’s The Hub at the Hawaiian Chip Company’s store off Nimitz Highway. They have a counter right in front of the store but they’re only open on Fridays and Saturdays! I told them they need to open every day and they said their HCC store has better hours. So HCC is the opposite direction of my work but I started coming here before work in the morning because the coffee is just that good! Their kiosk is located right in front of the Student Lounge on campus. Seriously, it’s the best coffee I’ve ever had. Their coffee tastes really fresh and not burnt like many other coffee shops. They have a new flavor to add to their coffee: English Toffee and it’s pretty yummy, not too sweet at all. Unlike their Hawaiian Chip Company location, they sell pastries and sandwiches made from a local baker. If you’re not in the mood for coffee, they also have really good tea(hot and cold) and also serve a few drinks with tapioca. I wish they had more locations on the island because the quality of their coffee is amazing and their customer service is pretty darn good too. The customer service at this kiosk is better here than at the chip store location. They seem to work a lot quicker too because they’re used to having more customers. My first time buying something from here. I’ve past it multiple times because I have math in the building right next to it. I don’t usually buy tea or coffee(not a coffee drinker), but today was really rainy and chilly. I decided I needed a nice warm cup of tea. Workers were very nice & accommodating to the fact I was standing in the rain. Definitely will buy from here again(:

I recently started working at HCC and I am so so so happy I can get decent coffee AND tea for reasonable prices(comparable to all other coffee shops… aka starbucks) at The Hub at 7:45am before I start work. The little kiosk is located right next to building 7, in front of the library entrance. The girls who work there are always super friendly and they encourage customers to come back with their buy 10, get one free punch card. You can also get baked goods(scones, muffins and cookies) and boba drinks. I was surprised to see that they sell Trader Joe’s tea bags; as there is no Trader Joe’s in Hawaii, they must have it shipped over. btw, it is cash only.
